City Administrator’s Office

 The City Manager is responsible for:
-Carrying out policy enacted by the council
-Overseeing the administration of the city
-Maintaining intergovernmental relationships

City Clerk’s Office

 The City Clerk is responsible for the records of the
city and city elections.

Community Development

 This department promotes sustainable and economic
growth through economic development programs,
partnerships, and opportunities to create quality jobs.

Facilities Department

 This department is in charge of maintaining and
repairing all city buildings.

Finance Department

 This department is responsible for handling all
financial affairs of the city and providing financial
information to customers.

Fire Department

 This department deals with fire protection services
and emergency medical services.

Fleet Services

 This department is in charge of maintaining/repairing
city vehicles and equipment.

Human Resources

 HR provides human services by assisting the city staff
with changes necessary to remain successful.

Information Technology

 I.T. provides technological support for the
departments of the city.

Municipal Court

 The Municipal Court ensures that individuals
appearing before the court or seeking services from the
court are treated equally, impartially, and fairly.

Office of the City Attorney

 The City Attorney provides:
-Written legal opinions
-Drafts deeds, contracts, and other legal instruments
-Approves drafts of contracts and other official bonds
-Prosecutes and defends all suits, actions, or causes where

the city is a party
-Reports to the City Council meetings

Parks and Recreation

 The parks section takes care of the parks and
landscape throughout the city.

 The recreation section provides the city with fun
activities and events.

Planning and Zoning

 This department guides the growth of the city while
maintaining the private property rights of the citizens.

Police Department

 This department is responsible for protecting citizens
from harm and danger.

Public Works

 This department contains:
-Solid Waste Division (trash services)
-Streets Division (general maintenance and repair of city

streets, signs, and traffic controls)
-Waste Water Division (maintain and respond to problems

associated with odor control, treatment, waste water
collection, customer complaints about waste water
collection)
-Water Division (maintain and respond to problems related to
water distribution, treatment, and customer complaints)

Senior Services

 This department provides educational courses and
activities as well as other resources for senior citizens
of the city.

Utilities Department

 Customers can pay their utility bills here.
