ROB VAN NIEUWBURGA MESSAGE FROM VENTURA COLLEGE FOUNDATION BOARD CHAIR

and contributions are vital to the Foundation and its
student recipients. Rob van Nieuwburg

The themes of this year’s Gratitude Report are trust
and, naturally, gratitude. As you read the stories and
get to know the personalities we share with you here,
we believe you’ll feel the power of these guiding
principles at work. These students put their trust in both
themselves and Ventura College – especially the Ventura
College Foundation. After taking bold steps and working
hard to turn their dreams into reality, they also feel a
deep sense of gratitude for the assistance provided by
the Foundation and its donors. Your investment in them
empowers them on many levels – alleviating financial
strain, strengthening our local community, brightening
their day-to-day lives and steadily building their
confidence over time. What you do to make all of this
and more possible is not lost on them.

We want you to feel the same level of trust in all of us
here at the Foundation. We hope you are fully confident
that your donations and contributions are making a
real difference in real lives of real students here at
Ventura College.
