Hincol Bitumen VG-40 is a special formulated bitumen, which is obtained by a
technique of physical and chemical modification that alters the chemistry and
balance of the bituminous components. It is formulated to resist both pavement
rutting due to high temperatures and shrinkage cracking at lower temperatures.
In addition, it helps withstand fatigue at normal operating temperatures. Further, it
combines the characteristic advantages of softer grades at low temperatures and
of harder grades at high temperatures.

It is used in areas where high pressure comes from heavy traffic loads, such as
intersections, toll booths and truck parking lots. This bitumen is more appropriate for
improving resistance and other problems associated with high temperatures and
