DISCIPLINE

Disciplining children can be difficult. As a parent,
discipling a child is the most important role.
Discipline can help children develop self-control.
Having effective discipline guides can help parents
to teach their kids proper behavior. Knowing the
goal of discipline can help guide you in how to
treat your kids when they behave badly.

How you discipline your kids has a significant
impact on their self-esteem and the degree to
which they develop inner discipline. The way you
discipline them has a huge impact on their self-
esteem and the relationship between you and
them. Unfortunately, many parents don’t know
how to discipline their kids effectively.

" Discipline is a symbol of caring to a
child. He needs guidance. If there is
love, there is no such thing as being
too tough with a child. If you have
never been hated by your child, you

have never been a a parent. "

Preschoolers and kindergarteners are capable of accepting

reality and limits. That doesn't imply they always follow the

rules, but it does indicate that they are willing to recognise

them. Preschoolers can be easily duped and their judgement is

not always correct. They require positive behavioural role

models and respond well to praise and affirmation.Eventhough

they may rely on spoken instructions, a child this age still

requires supervision when following commands.

DISCIPLINE TECHNIQUES

Recognize and reward good behaviour.
To encourage good behaviour, give heaps of praise and
encouragement. Just make sure your compliments are

sincere. "Thank you for putting your plate in the sink when I

asked you to," rather than "You're the best kid in the
world," remark.

Establish good communication habits.
Create techniques to assist you and your child in discussing
behaviour issues and solutions. For example, create a
separate area in your home where you and your child can
discuss essential topics. You may also make it a house rule
that arguments and concerns be discussed after a period of
calm, when solutions are more easily addressed.

Make a Rewarding System.
Make a sticker chart if your child is having trouble with a
specific behaviour. Then inform them that if they collect a
particular number of stickers, kids can obtain a bigger prize,
such as a special movie to watch. After your child has
mastered the abilities required to achieve their objectives,
reward systems can be gradually phased out
. Keep in mind
that determining the explanation for the behaviour is
critical. Discuss this in a calm, direct, and empathic manner.

07

ARRIVAL AND

DEPARTURE

Arrival and departure times are important to us because they
allow us to create relationships with children and their families.
Arrival and departure timings are set to support each child's well-
being and to provide children and their families a sense of
belonging. Arrival and departure hours are scheduled to allow
children to feel comfortable, secure, and supported as they
transition from home to preschool. Staff and families are
responsible for ensuring the safe arrival and departure of
children from kindergarten, as well as completing all required
paperwork.Arrival and departure periods, like other transitions,
can be tough for children; typically, the same youngster who
doesn't want to go to child care in the morning also doesn't want
to return home. These arrival and departure guidelines might
assist you and your child in making a smooth transition. You and
your youngster will say good-bye in the morning and hello in the
afternoon every day. It takes time to perfect "hellos" and "good
byes," and it isn't something that can be learned in the first week,
month, or even year of child care. In truth, despite our years of
experience, we grownups still have difficulty separating from and
reuniting with the people we care about.

TIPS TO HELP EASE ARRIVAL &
DEPARTURE

Work with your child to establish arrival and departure patterns,
keeping in mind that different children may require different
routines.
Spend a few minutes getting your child calm when you arrive, but
don't stay too long or your child may think you're hesitant to leave
him/her. When parents leave immediately with a huge smile and a
joyful "See you later!" it is often easier to say "good-bye."
Always say "good-bye" before leaving; never sneak out. This
increases your child's faith in you because he or she understands
you will not vanish without warning.

Teacher in Charge for the day will:

- Examine the sign-in/sign-out sheet. The teacher
will keep a written record of each child's arrival and
departure.

- All staff members should double-check that all
children have been signed out of the kindergarten.
If a kid is not signed out, educators and staff will
check all sections of the kindergarten to make sure
no one is still there.

- Allow the kids to leave the centre only with an
authorised adult who looks to be capable of caring
for the child correctly. If a kid is not picked up
within one hour of kinderfarten closure, the
teacher will contact their parents.

09

FOOD
POLICIES

It is critical to promote healthy eating habits in
young children in order to boost their growth
and development. It is widely known that the
early childhood setting plays a critical role in
assisting families in eating well. Little Einstein
Kindergarten has committed to implementing
the Nutrition of Malaysia III 2016-2025 main
messages on healthy eating.

Between 7:30 and 8:30 a.m., breakfast is
served. At around 9:30 a.m., mid-morning

munchies begin. Lunch is served at
11:30 a.m., and mid-afternoon snacks are

offered around 3:00 p.m., following a
sleep.

CONCLUSION

We believe that a child's success requires
the guidance of a healthy parental figure.
Children instinctively want to disregard
what their parents say, whether because
they believe they should be able to make

their own judgments or because they
want to emulate their peers. The parents
have such a strong influence on children,

which acts as a cushion as they grow
older since they will have characteristics

of themselves that resemble their
parents. Parents must act solely for the

benefit of their children in order to
prepare them for adulthood.

Thank
You
