Otaru is approximately 38 kilometers from
Sapporo and a 49-minute JR train ride away. It's
a fantastic day trip from Sapporo and a great
tourist city. The European-influenced harbor front
city is charming, with well-preserved canal
sections and ancient buildings.

STROLLING AT OTARU CANAL

The Otaru Canal is one of the city’s historical quarters. It is a lovely scene that
represents Otaru and is a popular spot when visiting Otaru. You can choose
to take the boat ride and be mesmerized by the beautiful canal and building.

SEAFOOD DONBURI AT
SANKAKU MARKET

12.00 PM-1.30 PM
Sankaku Market is located beside the Otaru JR station. It is the best place in
Otaru if you want to have fresh Hokkaido seafood. Their wonderful seafood

rice bowl was so delicious and fresh. Most importantly, they provide a
reasonable price for the quality and quantity of seafood.

Thousands of music boxes with many different sounds and designs are
displayed inside. Some of the boxes are for viewing, while others can be
