Message From Our Superintendent

Hello Arp Tigers! We have gotten off to a great start to our 2022-2023
school year! The fall semester is always so refreshing. It is so good to
have our students back on our campuses!

We have some new faculty faces here at Arp ISD. We are so blessed to be
able to find good folks that want to be at Arp ISD. If you see someone new
please introduce yourself and make them feel welcome!

Arp ISD is growing! Our student population has grown by over 100
students in the past two years! We have many folks that want to be here!
This can be attributed to our awesome faculty and staff! We are so
fortunate to have such wonderful people here at Arp ISD. Our people
truly have a heart for students!

I know you will enjoy our Arp ISD newsletter! Our digital media instructor,
Rhonda Pawlik, is incredible! A thank you goes out to her and all the
students that work so hard to bring us an incredible Arp Tiger newsletter!
I want to remind everyone to download the Arp ISD app so that you can
keep up with all our notifications.

Our motto this year is GROW…we want to GROW Arp Tigers into authentic
people that are independent, courageous, game changers!
G-going places, going far
R-reaching for your brightest star
O-outstanding at so many things
W-working hard no matter what life brings

ARP ISD - Where exceptional people lovingly, skillfully, intentionally,
and carefully develop great people who will impact the world.

AHS Band

The Arp Tiger Pride Marching Band has been working diligently these last few weeks. If
you’re in the Junior High you might even hear them from your classes while they’re out
on the field. To fill in those who aren’t in band, here’s some information you may want to
know. The show this year is called Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde written by Randall
Standridge. The show pays homage to the characters made famous by author Robert
Louis Stevenson in his short story. From the low tubas to the highest flute, the Arp Tiger
Pride Marching Band works hard everyday making their best better so that they can
present a show for the masses to enjoy at every game and to wow the judges at contest.

FFA

12 Arp FFA Members attended the 94th Texas FFA State Convention in Fort Worth this past July.
Here we were recognized for receiving our Golden Horizon Award in the Bronze category, six
members received the highest degree in the state; the Lonestar Degree, and Reed Thorn
received one of the highest honors of all in the FFA; 2022 Texas FFA American Star in Farmer. (He
will compete at nationals for this award.)

We also had an officer retreat where the chapter officers were able to plan out the chapter's year,
set goals for the chapter, and enjoy a team building activity; Spaghetti Cook-off. Marissa and
Landry won the cook-off!

We look forward to our next chapter meeting on September 19th.
