Student of the 4th 9-Weeks
H annah Van Winkle has been chosen as the outstanding student for
the 4th –nine weeks. Hannah is a senior and she has one brother,
Ben VanWinkle, who also attends Arp High School. Her favorite class is
Pre-Cal. She is involved with Band, FFA, NHS, and the Tiger Leadership
Committee. She is also very involved in the youth group at her church.
Her favorite food is strawberries with a drink of Hawaiian punch. She
would love to go to England because she has this lifelong dream of drink-
ing tea with the queen. She likes to spend her weekends reading, watching
movies, and hanging out with friends. She plans to attend TJC and UT Ty-
ler.
Staff of the 4th 9-Weeks
O ur Teacher of the Month is Mrs. Allen. She has taught at Arp for 13
years and attended UT Tyler. Mrs. Allen’s favorite part of teaching is
the students. She enjoys seeing them every day and misses them when she is
not here. Her favorite type of food is Mexican, of course, and her favorite
restaurant is Sal’s in Henderson. She spends her weekends reading, cooking,
working in the yard, and being sad that it’s almost Monday. If she could go
on a paid vacation anywhere, she would choose any Spanish speaking coun-
try because she loves immersing herself in Spanish culture. Her favorite type
of music is Columbian Pop as of recently. Her favorite Spanish saying is “En boca cerrada no entran
moscas.” Which means silence is golden or more literally, flies don’t enter closed mouths.
