Suffix หรือทีเราเรียกกนั วา่ ปจจยั ทําหนา้ ทเี ตมิ ทา้ ยคาํ
ใหค้ วามหมายของคําสมบรู ณ์ขึนและบง่ บอกหนา้ ทีของคํา
คาํ นนั มาดกู ารแบง่ ประเภทการใช้ Suffix กนั

1.Noun Suffix คือ suffix ทีเติมแลว้ ทาํ ใหค้ าํ นันเปน
คํานาม (-ship, -ee, -ness, -dom, -hood, -al, -
er/-or, -tion) เชน่

employee(N.) = ลูกจ้าง

-less, -ly, -ous) เช่น

flexible(adj.) = ทียดื หยนุ่ ได้
formal(adj.) = อยา่ งเปนทางการ
golden(adj.) = ทําดว้ ยทอง
useful(adj.) = มีประโยชน์
British(adj.) = เกียวกับองั กฤษ

4.Adverb Suffix คอื suffix ทีเติมแล้วทาํ ให้คํานนั เปน
กรยิ าวิเศษณ์ (-ly, -ward, -wise) เชน่

Easily(adv.) = อยา่ งง่ายดาย
upwards(adv.) = ขึนไปทางเหนือ
clockwise(adv.) = ตามเขม็ นา ิกา
