2. Verb to do ทำหนา้ ทเี่ ป็นกริยาชว่ ย ในรูปประโยคคำถาม, ประโยคปฏิเสธ
3. Verb to do ใชใ้ นประโยคสั่งหา้ ม

1. Verb to do ทำหน้าทเี่ ปน็ กรยิ าหลัก หรือ กรยิ าแท้ ในประโยค มคี วามหมายวา่
"ทำ" ใชก้ ับสง่ิ ท่มี อี ยู่แล้วไม่ไดผ้ ลติ ขึน้ มาใหม่และโดยประธานเป็นผ้ทู ำกรยิ าเองและคำกริยา
จะเปลี่ยนรูปไปตามประธาน เราจะพบในสำนวนต่าง ๆ เชน่

** จรงิ ๆแลว้ คำว่า does คอื การเตมิ s ที่ท้ายคำว่า do แต่ไมไ่ ดเ้ ติม s เฉยๆ แตเ่ ปน็ การ
เติม es ตามหลกั การทางภาษา

การยอ่ รปู ปกติจะย่อรูปประโยคปฏเิ สธเท่าน้ัน
do not = don’t
does not = doesn’t

1. ประโยคบอกเล่า ( ประธาน + do, does) แปลว่า ทำ จะทำอะไรบา้ งนนั้ เช่น

You do the laundry every day. คุณซักผ้าทุกวนั

We do the washing after dinner. พวกเราล้างจานหลังอาหารเย็น

2. ประโยคปฏิเสธ (ประธาน + do + not / does + not ใชเ้ ป็นคำปฏิเสธ) แปลว่า ไม่

I don’t know. ผมไม่รู้

He doesn’t love you. เขาไมร่ กั คุณ

Verb to do เปน็ เพียงกริยาชว่ ย ไมใ่ ช่กริยาแท้ กริยาแทข้ องประโยคต้องใช้รปู

เดิม (Base form) จะไม่มกี ารเตมิ หรือเปลย่ี นไปเป็นช่องใดทั้งส้ิน
