SPRING/SUMMER 2026 EDITION32 PAGES OF EXCITING TRAVEL IDEASAlaska, Caribbean, Danube, Mediterranean, Northern Lights & moreTHE OCEAN VIEW

Welcome to the latest editi on of 'The Ocean View'I hope this fi nds you well. I write this with a turbulent world being shown in the news - not something anyone can (or should) easily dismiss, but we like to focus on the positi vehere at Cruise Circle Towers. Over the years it’s the adversity we’ve faced, both individually and as an industry that has made us stronger; fi nancial crashes, ash clouds, major tour operator failures, we’ve seen them all. We came out swinging aft er the pandemic had passed and we’ll conti nue to navigate the challenges of this parti cular moment in ti me, supporti ng you, our valued customers, all the way,if and when we are needed.Believe it or not, despite the less-than-fl att ering representati on of America on the world stage, the United States conti nues to be one of our most-visited desti nati ons. With lovely people, stunning scenery, and such diversity (as well as it being a gateway to many further afi eld desti nati ons) our staff , customers and peers conti nue to report wonderful experiences nonetheless. Maybe turning off the news for a bit, and just cracking on with enjoying life is an idea for us all, who knows? We’d urge you to conti nue making your dreams of relaxing in far fl ung desti nati ons a reality, and, if you see a holiday you like but have concerns, give our New Reservati ons team a call anyway, and I’m sure they’ll be able to reassure you with honest, balanced and professional, advice.Remember what I said in my e-mail at Christmas email “Travel is good foryour health, it can even slow down ti me.”Regards,WELCOMEJason Daniels, Managing DirectorCRUISE CIRCLE TEAME&OE: Every eff ort has been made to avoid errors within this publicati on but Cruise Circle (Travelcircle Ltd.) accepts no responsibility for any that may occur. Holland America’s perfectly-sized ships go where larger cruise ships cannot, bringing you closer to towering glaciers and through narrow fjords - with more room at the rail to take it all in. Spend several days cruising Antarctica and discover towering ice, quiet bays, potentially penguins, and surreal, iceberg-filled waters that showcase the continent’s pristine polar grandeur.Icebergs drift past in extraordinary shapes, some cathedrallike, others sculpted into delicate arches, each one catching the light in a different way. The stillness is striking, broken only by the distant crack of shifting ice or the gentle movement of the ship through calm waters. Wildlife encounters intheir natural habitat Despite its remote setting, Antarctica is full of life. Penguins gather along the shoreline in lively colonies, their comical movements adding a sense of character to the landscape. Seals can often be spotted resting on ice floes, while whales glide through the surrounding waters, occasionally surfacing in a slow, graceful arc. Above, seabirds wheel and soar, perfectly at home in the crisp Antarctic air. There is something quietly humbling about observing wildlife here, where nature continues uninterrupted.Ever changing views from every angle No two moments in Antarctica look the same. Light shifts constantly, transforming the scenery from soft pastels to bright, dazzling whites. One hour may reveal clear blue skies reflecting on glassy seas, while the next brings a gentle mist rolling across the ice. Scenic cruising means there is time to fully appreciate these changes, whether watching from a panoramic lounge or stepping out on deck for a closer look. It is a place that rewards patience, where simply standing still can feel likean experience in itself. Wild Corners, Cool Waters Your journey is enriched by expert commentary that brings Antarctica’s stories to life. Learn about the explorers who first ventured into these waters, the wildlife that thrives in such extreme conditions, and the science behind the glaciers and ice shelves. These insights add depth to the passing scenery, turning each view into something more meaningful than justa photograph. A sense of scale that stays with you What lingers most is the sheer scale of Antarctica. The vastness, the silence, and the untouched beauty create a sense of perspective that is hard to find elsewhere. It is not about rushing from one sight to the next, butabout taking the time to absorb a place that feelswonderfully removed from everyday life. Antarcticaleaves its mark quietly, through moments that feelboth peaceful and profound.Wrap up and take in the view on the deckExperience the vast wonderland of Antarctica

The standout feature onboard Emerald Luna is the pool – a huge space at the back of the ship where you’d typically fi nd a bistro or extra cabins. It has a drinks stati on and a retractable roof, making it a brilliant spot to relax. By evening, this space transforms into a cinema, with a fl oor that raises up while staff serve popcorn as you watch a fi lm”.AMASERENABest for ‘something for everyone’“The ship design allows guests to pick and choose according to their mood, off ering a balance of quiet retreat and social energy – from a cosy fi reside library to a lively Main Lounge with a baby grand piano. The sun deck adds a playful touch with a giant chess board and heated pool, which was one of the largest of all the ships I saw”.TUI MAYABest for value-packed packages“TUI Maya has a modern Mediterranean feel, with a beauti ful central staircase that made for a standout feature. All cabins are on the outside of the ship, with a porthole, window or French balcony – so there’s always a view to be admired. Off ering great value for money, the price to upgrade to a suite is only £14pp per night, and with plenty of regional airports and Full Board Plus as standard, TUI River Cruises make for a great, hassle-free experience. Did I menti on their ships are also exclusively for adults?”MS GEOFFERY CHAUCERBest for traditi onal tastes“Perfectly balancing the grandness of a classic ship with the openness and light of a modern ship, Geoff rey Chaucer is a great choice if your tastes skew to the more traditi onal. For example, the main staircase on this ship was so grand it felt like it harked back to a bygone ti me. The cabins on this ship were some of the largest I toured, and in such beauti ful classic, warm colours, which made it feel extremely homely”.AVALON VIEWBest for the view from your cabin“The clue’s in the name with this ship. One of my favourites (although I might be biased as I got to spend the night on board), Avalon’s award-winning Panorama Suites really do live up to the hype. Kitt ed out with fl oor-to-ceiling windows and very comfortable beds that face the view, guests can enjoy dramati c river scenes from the comfort of their cabin”.5 of our favourite river shipsFresh off the back of a recent River Cruise conference in Amsterdam, our Shannon has the inside scoop on fi ve ships she was lucky enough to tour. Here’s a handful that are worthy of your bucket list. Temples of Angkor, CambodiaThe centre of the Khmer Kingdom for centuries, Angkor is a UNESCO World Heritage Site that covers more than 400 square kilometres. Found deep in the forests of Cambodia’s Siem Reap province, the area is home to countless temples, including the world’s largest religious monument, Angkor Wat. From its magnificent towers to an 800-metre-long series of bas-reliefs that stretch around the central temple complex, the temple has become a symbol of Cambodia’s rich cultural heritage, even appearing on the country’s flag, and still used as a place of worship today. Explore Angkor Wat with a stay in Siem Reap before or after a Mekong River cruise. The Acropolis, AthensIf you see Athens pop up on your port itinerary, chances are you’re already dreaming of the collection of monuments, statues and artefacts the ancient Greeks left behind. An ancient city dating to between 7,000 and 5,000 B.C.E., Athens is considered the birthplace of Western civilization. The greatest symbol comes in the shape of the UNESCO-listed Acropolis, which rises dramatically in the centre of Athens. Climb the marble steps through towering columns and witness the power and prestige of the well-preserved Parthenon (the most instantly recognisable feature within the Acropolis). The view’s not too bad either, with 360-degree panoramic scenes across the city.Valletta, MaltaA perfect match for history buffs and architecture aficionados alike, Valletta is choc-a-block with grand townhouses, golden facades and Baroque chapels. Considering its compact size (the smallest capital city in the EU), UNESCO have described it as ‘one of the most concentrated historic areas in the world’. Highlights include St John’s Co-Cathedral, Fort St Elmo & National War Museum and the historic heart of Valletta, Grandmaster’s Palace. Built in 1571, be sure to visit the Palace Armoury, which holds an impressive collection of weaponry of the Knights Hospitaller.

A visit here offers a heartbreaking, haunting and important history lesson, with many opportunities for reflection to be found at the Peace Memorial Park. The long tree-lined Pond of Peace is the park’s central feature, where you’ll find the cenotaph – a curved concrete monument that holds the names of all the known victims – and the Flame of Peace. Lit in 1964, it is both a symbol of hope and a protest against the use of nuclear weapons, set to burn until the world’s nuclear weapons are destroyed. The Atomic Bomb Dome, one of the only buildings to have survived the attack, serves as a stark reminder of the horrors of war and the city’s lasting mission for peace. The Colosseum, RomeIt’s impossible to fit everything Rome has to offer into one day, so we’ve homed in on the city’s most iconic landmark, The Colosseum. Once a 50,000-seat stadium that drew in bloodthirsty crowds eager to watch gladiators engage in fierce combat, it’s now Italy’s top attraction and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, offering visitors a glimpse into the grandeur of ancient Roman life. Even without entering (which would be criminal), you can get a good look at the three levels of arches and columns that make up the outer walls, in addition to the 80 entrances meaning spectators would be seated in a matter of minutes. Inside you can explore the arena floor, underground chambers and upper tiers. The latter of which rewards you with sweeping views across Rome. Many visitors combine their time at The Colosseum with a tripto the Roman Forum and Palatine Hill.Maya ruins, MexicoA visit to Mexico’s Yucatan Peninsula means complex ancient cities, jungle-shrouded archaeological treasures and ancient Mayan history.El Castillo, the centrepiece of Chichén Itzá, is arguably the most famous Mayan site in Mexico. This massive step pyramid is dedicated to the feathered serpent god Kukulka, and twice a year (during the spring and autumn equinoxes) a shadow falls on the pyramid in the shape of a serpent, descending the stairs as the sun sets – a testament to the Maya’s astronomical skills. The ruins at Tulum are another of Mexico’s most visited archaeological zones. Perched on spectacular seaside cliffs, the structures might not be as grand, but the backdrop of impossibly blue waters is hard to resist.
