ABSTRACT
This research investigates remittance practices and challenges faced by Cambodian
migrant workers in Thailand who send money home to their families. The study was conducted
through a survey of 175 Cambodian migrants working in Thailand, interviews with some migrant
families in Cambodia, and individuals who provide money transfer services to Cambodia. The
study also aimed to understand the challenges faced by both legal and illegal workers and their
satisfaction with the current money transfer services they use.
