PRAYER TO THE HOLY SPIRIT

Holy Spirit, I surrender myself and want to be filled
with Your love. I need Your power in my life. Work
in me in a powerful way. I want every purpose
God has for my life to be fulfilled. Fill me with Your
Holy Gifts of wisdom, understanding, counsel,
fortitude, piety, knowledge and the fear of the
Lord. Grant me the great virtues of faith, hope
and charity and of prudence, justice and
temperance. Increase in me the Holy Fruits of
peace, joy, love, patience, kindness, goodness,
faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. I thank
You Holy Spirit for Your presence in me, flowing
freely in me and through me. Thank You for
washing and cleansing my wounds and scars
from the past, the pain of loss, the unknown fear,
the emotional hurts and the painful memories.
Thank You for reminding me that the love of
Jesus was always there, filling in the gap
between the love I needed and the love I
received. Compassionate Holy Spirit, I thank You
for being my friend, my teacher, my comforter,
my counselor, my intercessor and the giver of

extravagant gifts, especially
(in gratitude of the favor you have received).

O mighty Spirit of God, heal me, strengthen me,
guide me, watch over me and help me, so that I
may be able to live a holy life, die a happy
death and enter into the joy of everlasting life –
Amen.

SPIRITUAL WARFARE

Heavenly Father, I come before You in praise, worship
& adoration. Thank You for sending Your Son Jesus
Christ to give me life, to give me forgiveness and to
give me a place in Your family. Thank You for sending
the Holy Spirit to guide and assist me in my daily life.
Heavenly Father, open my eyes that I may see Your
greatness, Your majesty, Your victory on my behalf.

I now place myself under the Cross of Jesus and cover
myself with His precious Blood and renew the promises
made in baptism: (raise your right hand)

In the Holy Name of Jesus – I renounce Satan with all his
works, his empty promises and the world with its false
attractions.

O Lord, give me the strength to fight evil.

In the Holy Name of Jesus – I renounce all my sinful
habits, my faults, my weaknesses and to liberate me
from the bondage of sin.

O Lord, help me to overcome all temptations.

In the Holy Name of Jesus – I break any curse that may
be coming against me, and stop the transmission of
curses through my ancestry and family.

O Lord, protect me and my family.

O Almighty and Merciful God, through Your son
Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit:

Replace the turbulence within me with
a sacred calm

Replace the anxiety within me with
quiet confidence

Replace the fear within me with
strong faith

Replace the darkness within me with
gentle light

Replace the sickness within me with
good health

Replace the tension within me with
holy relaxation

loving warmth

God of all goodness, teach me to be
obedient to my superiors, helpful to my

my friends and forgiving to my enemies.

O my God, make me prudent in my
undertakings, courageous in dangers,
patient when things go wrong, sincere in my
daily work and humble in prosperity. Let my
conscience be ever upright and pure. Let
me keep Your Holy Commandments and to
work out my salvation, make me realize O
my God, the nothingness of this world, the
greatness of Heaven, the shortness of time
and the length of eternity. Lord, set me free
from all my sinful habits, my ailments, my hurt
feelings, bitterness and my painful
experiences and heal me and save me
through Your graces which I ask in Jesus’
name – Amen.

Loving Father I surrender to You today with all my
heart and soul. Please come into my heart in a

You and receive You as my Lord and Savior. I
surrender all to You:
my health and sickness  my joys and sorrows 
my failures and successes  my family and friends
 my occupation and skills  my relationships and
all my time  I surrender my understanding of

how things ought to be  my choices and my will
 I surrender to You the promises I have kept and
the promises I have failed to keep  I surrender
my emotions  my fears  my insecurities  my

O Lord, take and receive all my liberty, my
memory, my understanding my entire will, all that
I have and possess. You have given all this to me,
to You O Lord I return it. All is Yours. Dispose of it
wholly according to Your will. Give me love and

Lord Jesus, forgive me my sins and the sins of my

PRAYER OF REPENTENCE

Loving Father I am sorry for all the ways I have
offended You, knowingly and unknowingly. I
have sinned in what I have done and in what I
have failed to do. I come before You and ask for
the grace of a deeply repentant heart. Heavenly
Father, forgive me for all my sins, faults and
failings and for the times I have gone astray from
You – Amen.

EXAMINATION OF CONSCIENCE

Did I put the law of God above all things?
Did I honor & respect God?
Did I trust God and accept what He sent me?
Did I work conscientiously or was I lazy?
Did I use my talents and skills in a productive way?
Did I obey my parents & superiors and was I attentive to
them?
Did I respect every person as a child of God,
irrespective of their religion, social background and
financial status?
Was I straight in my talks, honest in my dealings and fair
to all?
Was I a good example to all around me?
Have I been helpful, kind and considerate?
Did I sin through anger, jealousy, vanity, pride,
uncharitable criticism and slanderous gossip?
Did I sow discord, cause resentment and create
enmities?
Did I sin by addiction to drinks, drugs, gambling, sex,
food?
Did I avoid bad company?
Did I steal anything, do willful damage or kept that to
which I had no right to?
Did I do wrong by thought, word and deed against
purity and modesty?

PRAYER FOR MERCY

Dearest Lord, today is my day of healing
and liberation. Please let the Holy Spirit
guide me to reveal other areas of un-
confessed sin. To Thee Jesus, I have
recourse. In Thee I find consolation when
afflicted, protection when persecuted,
strength when overwhelmed with trials, light
in doubt and darkness. Thou are God of
mercies who will not refuse a contrite and
humble heart. Look with pity upon me and
forgive me of my sins. Grant me the strength
to overcome them and help me to make
positive choices.
Thank You Lord, for setting me free.

Heavenly Father, I thank You for Your mercy.

Lord Jesus, I thank You for Your compassion.

Holy Spirit, I thank You for Your blessings

FORGIVENESS

O merciful and loving Father, I choose to forgive
everyone in my life including myself, because You my
Lord have forgiven me. Thank You Lord for these
mercies, graces and blessings bestowed upon me.

Lord, I forgive myself for causing hurt to others and to
myself due to my sinful habits.

Lord, I forgive my parents, elders, superiors, family
members, relatives, friends, neighbors and colleagues
who have offended me knowingly or unknowingly.

Lord, I forgive every member of society who have hurt
me or my family members in any deliberate way or by
criminal action.

Lord, I forgive all those who in public office have
harmed us by their corrupt ways and passed laws
opposing Christian values.

Lord, I forgive all those who cause annoyance in my
life, those who are unfair and hostile and are sources of
pain and despair in my life.

O most merciful and forgiving Lord, grant me the grace
and strength to forgive all who have hurt and harmed
me at any time and I ask for pardon of all those whom I
have hurt. Thank You Lord Jesus, for Your infinite love
and mercy and for cleansing me of my hatred and
resentment and giving me the grace to forgive
everyone in my life, including myself. Thank You kind
Jesus, for the gift of reconciliation and for filling Your joy
into my heart. – Amen.

Lord Jesus, comfort those who are poor, sick and dying,

come to your mind) Please relieve them of their pain.

Lord Jesus, shelter the homeless and the neglected and
protect and help those who are despised by their
family members and even by their own people
because of their addictions.

Lord Jesus, protect and enlighten my children. Give
them the grace to grow up and be useful and
successful members of society.

Graciously hear my prayers O Lord

Lord Jesus, forgive my enemies and those who have
caused me and my people harm. Please touch them
with Your love.

Graciously hear my prayers O Lord

Heavenly Father, in Your mercy, grant also to us Your
children, to enter into our heavenly inheritance in the
company of Virgin Mary the mother of God and all
Your Apostles and Saints through Christ our Lord –

PROMISE OF CHRIST

O God our father, You are my refuge and my
strength. You are always kind and full of
compassion. Hear my prayer and grant me what
I ask for believing in the words of Jesus who said:

“Ask and you shall receive,

seek and you shall find,

knock and it shall be opened to you”

Through the intercession of Mary Thy most Holy
Mother of God, I knock, I seek and I ask that my
prayer be granted.

I fly to Thy patronage O Holy Mother of God,
despise not my petitions in my necessities but
deliver me from all dangers O glorious and
blessed Virgin.

Pray for us O Holy Mother of God, that we may
be made worthy of the promises of Christ –

Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never
was it known, that anyone who fled to Thy protection,
implored Thy help or sought Thy intercession was left
unaided. Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto Thee O
Virgin of virgins my Mother. To Thee I come, before Thee

THANKSGIVING

O my God, I give You thanks for all the benefits I
have received from You and particularly for those I
have received this day.

I thank You for the success I have achieved, for the

have preserved and fostered.

I thank You for my failures, may I learn from them to
be humble and to be wise in the future.

I thank You for sending the Holy Spirit to teach,
guide and counsel me.

I thank You for loving me unconditionally and never
forsaking me no matter what I do.

I thank You for being there at all moments in my life,
enabling me to rise out of discouragement and
walk in joy.

I thank You for protecting me against the snares of
the enemies.

I thank You for breaking the power of my sinful
habits and for freeing me from sickness in body,
mind and spirit.

I thank You for all the blessings of life, Godly
ancestors, family, friends, professional people,
teachers, clergy and the church.

I thank You for all those who have helped me along
the way. Bless them O Lord.

I thank You for opening my hands to give to the
needy, opening my eyes to see their needs,
opening my ears to their cry, opening my heart to
love the wounded and lost, opening my lips to
speak of Your love and opening my arms to receive
others in love.

I thank You for the wonderful gift of life exactly the
way it is. I embrace it as a priceless gift from You
and I thank You for the greatest gift of all, Your son
Jesus

NOVENA PRAYER
TO OUR MOTHER OF PERPETUAL SUCCOR

O Mother of Perpetual Succor, behold me a miserable
sinner at thy feet; I have recourse to thee and put my
trust in thee. O Mother of Mercy have pity upon me. I
hear thee called by all the refuge and the hope of
sinners, be then my refuge and my hope. Succor me for
the love of Jesus Christ; stretch forth thy hand to me, a
poor sinner, who recommend and dedicate myself to
thee as thy perpetual servant. I bless and thank God for
having in His mercy given to me this confidence in
thee, the pledge as I believe of my eternal salvation.
Alas! Too often in past times have I miserably fallen,
because I had not recourse to thee! I know that with
thy help I shall conquer. I know that thou will help me if I
recommend myself to thee; but I fear lest in the
occasions of falling I should cease to call upon thee
and so should lose my soul. This, then, is the grace I seek
from thee; and I implore thee, as far as I know how and
can, to obtain it for me; namely, in the assaults of hell
always to have recourse to thee and to say to thee: O
Mary help me; Mother of Perpetual Succor, suffer me
not to lose my God.
