WINNER WHERE ART THOU (2)

BIFFLE (7) was slow to begin and then lost ground of its own accord, passing
the catching pen, before finishing a distant last. MEPUNGA ROSIE (6)
hampered FANTASTIC TAIL (4) on the home turn. MEPUNGA ROSIE (6) shifted
out entering the home straight and came together with INNER CITY (5),
hampering FANTASTIC TAIL (4).

PERFORMANCE/ Connections of MEPUNGA ROSIE (6) were interviewed regarding the
INCIDENTS greyhound’s actions in the home straight. Stewards had concerns that
MEPUNGA ROSIE (6) had turned its head outward towards INNER CITY (5),
INJURIES AND and marred that greyhound. After taking observations and viewing the lateral
INCAPACITATION and head on footage of the event, stewards could not be comfortably
PERIODS satisfied that the greyhound had made muzzle contact and marred INNER
CITY (5). Therefore, MEPUNGA ROSIE (6) was given the benefit of the doubt
in regard to marring.
However; stewards’ believed that the performance of MEPUNGA ROSIE (6)
was unsatisfactory. Therefore the greyhound was stood down under GAR 71
until the completion of one satisfactory trial with two others.
