Camp Rotorua
I was filled with joy as I knew that I had
camp. (It was well worth it) We were going
to Rotorua. As I walked into the hall
Chloe was there, as the time past we all
made our way down to the bus. On the
double decker bus there were so many
seats to choose from, but I sat in the
middle row with Abby.
Day 2
As I woke up early (about 7am) Abby and
Skikira woke up as well. We were all
excited for the first day. We got ready,
had breakfast and had to tidy up our bunk.
For bunk room inspection we did not win
but at least we tried. As the bus arrived
we started to get on and in no time we were
off to the Agrodome.
At the Agrodome my friends and I sat in
the front row. They put on an amazing
sheep show. There were different breeds
of sheep; the biggest sheep they had was
called a merino. The man that was on the
show sheared one of the sheep. After the
show we were allowed to pat the sheep and
take photos.
After all that fun at the Agrodome, we had
the Luge coming up. Wow I was so
surprised. To get to the Luge you had to go
on the Gondola, my friends and I were so
freaked out because some of us were
scared of heights. We all managed to take
billions of selfies. I put a small helmet on
and went into the beginners line, Danielle,
Shikira, Chloe and I went
off. I was scared but
Chloe and I ended
crashing into each other
and I ended zooming so
fast and I felt the wind thrashing in my
face.
Day 3
We hopped on the bus and we were off to
the Museum. We all got off the bus and Mr
O handed us some bright coloured tickets.
As I entered a massive building a chill went
down my back. I saw some awesome stuff in
there. We watched a little video clip of
Mount Tarawera and when it had exploded.
Mount Tarawera had exploded five times.
After watching the video we went
underground of the museum and there were
some cool things like you could take a mud
bath and there was an old wheel chair. So
far I've had fun.
We all made our way back to the entrance
and we sat outside and ate our yummy
lunch.
Day 4
Rainbow Springs here we came.
There were lots of birds and some of them
were multi-coloured. I took so many photos.
We all sat down on the grass and after we
got to play on the playground. It was very
hot and muggy. Mr O sent some people to
go on the log Flume ride. I was patiently
waiting my turn. I was nervous but excited.
Off we went. I sat next to shikira. It was
pitch black and I was scared but it was only
an elevator. Off the elevator and onto the
water the log Flume went. As we came
around the corner there was a
dinosaur. Aaaaahh!!! I screamed it gave me
such a fright. And we went through lots of
native bush. Up came the big drop. Ahhh I
put my hands in the
air and smiled for the
camera. I felt like my
tummy was going to
drop. I kept going on
the ride and I went
on 11 times. I loved that ride
Day 5
Sadly we had to go
home. Well as I
woke up (about 7
ish) I was tired and exhausted. That was
our last day and we were going home. We all
packed our bags and put them on the bus.
Well I guess that was it. Camp Rotorua was
the best and I would love to go there again.
My most favourite activity was the luge.
It was so quiet and some people like me fell
asleep on the bus. I woke up and I was
thinking I couldn't wait to see my mum.
Yaaay we made it to school I got all my
luggage and went up to the office so they
could call my mum because we ended up
coming early for a change. My mum came
and helped put my bags in the car and off
we went home.
