The Most Important Lesson I Have Learnt As
A Student
School, the temple of learning not only teaches us how to make a living
but also how to live a life and such a worthwhile life can be led only if
the character of the person is good.
As I preach the importance of character in a student’s life, I feel
character building is the most important lesson I have learnt. Not one
but many lessons I have learnt that contributes to my character
building.
To begin with when we enter school we are always taught to reach
school on time, this teaches us the value of time. Another important
lesson we learn is of equality. All students when in uniform
irrespective of their social status, race, and caste are treated equally
with no discrimination.
Our social skills and communication skills also improve due to
interaction with different people. If I continue to list what I have learnt
as a student the list won’t end. So hereby I would like to conclude by
highlighting the importance of character as said by Abraham Lincoln
“Character is like a tree and reputation is like its shadow. The shadow
is what we think of it but the tree is the real thing.”

I didn’t know the meaning of covid-19. Someday I heard it started in a
place in China called Wuhan. I thought it wouldn't reach our country
so fast. I didn’t care about that. I went and played outside. A month
passed and we were under lockdown. While sitting at home I realised
how pathetic it would be for elderly and disabled people, how boring
is their life. And what about small children who sit at home without
any activity.
But is it necessary to go outside and play? I don’t think so, because
doctors, police, health workers, are leaving their children or loved
ones home alone and are serving for our safety. What will they feel?
They are also humans.
We are going outside and bringing corona back to our houses again
and again. Every member in the house will be infected. It’s highly
contagious. Patients will multiply. Many will die. So please stay home
and stay safe. Being responsible citizens it’s our duty to follow the
rules and regulations insisted by our government to protect our nation
and our people.

This is one of the celebrated photographs of the century captured by Mr. Kevin
Carter, an acclaimed South-African journalist dating back from 1993 which
made headlines in newspapers, magazines and chronicles across the globe.
He was part of a group of adventurous photographers who covered the
apartheid-era South Africa. In that devastating summer of 1993, he reached
Sudan so as to photograph the famine which had hit that part of the world.
He had more than a heartbreak there, seeing the agony stricken souls. One
day, not far from the village of Ayod, among the open bush, he heard some
strange feeble sound. When explored a little further, he came across a baby, a
toddler who had collapsed on the way to a public care centre. He also figured
out a vulture approaching the hunger stricken baby. And it was a God given
opportunity for Mr. Carter. Dutifully, he took the child’s pictures, with the
blood thirsty vulture poaching nearby.
The journalists of that era were advised by medicos not to touch the victims
because of some contagious disease which was spreading in the land. So he
spent around half an hour there, trying to chase the stalker away but in vain.
After a while, he could drive the creature away. The child continued its pursuit
towards the public care centre.
Carter and his group returned to their native and the leading newspapers ran
this story and it moved many a hearts. Thousands of men and women
complained of nightmares seeing the imageries of the agony stricken lives in
Sudan.
But there were also a few readers who were eager to find out what had
happened to the child after that haunting photograph was taken. Carter didn't
have a specific answer to the question as it was just part of his job to take
photographs of the subjects that he came across. And his job clearly stopped
there. He was not expected to pursue his subjects. In fact, that was the case
with journalists all over the world.
But the world was not so kind or forgiving to Carter and Company. They were
subjected to wide criticism for not coming to their subject’s aid. This
photograph soon became a case study for the role of photographers and a
debate about the instances when one should intervene.
Subsequently, it came to be known that the child did survive the incident but
died almost 14 years later due to malarial infection.
Later, Carter went on to win Pulitzer prize for the image. But one day he
received a phone call from a stranger. The voice from the other end asked him.
"Why didn't you rescue the child?" Carter apologetically said, "I had to catch a
flight in another few minutes." The stranger kept the phone cursing Carter for
his inhumane demeanour.
It was not going to be over for Carter. The feeling of guilt didn't leave him
thereafter. In July 1994, Carter ended his own life. Bidding adieu, he wrote, “I
am haunted by the vivid memories of killings, corpses, anger & pain.”
There's a reason why I've remembered Carter and the Sudani Child from 90's.
It's certainly not accidental. I saw both Carter and the Child everyday, when
millions were fleeing their homes during the summer of 2020 due to the
joblessness and void created by Covid pandemic. Everyday, I see sensational
photographs and imageries taken by brilliant journalists from various parts of
India. And I'm reminded of the blood thirsty vultures for some reason.

The architect of the modern world is science and by modern thought, it is
meant scientific thought. At present, there is intense moral concern
everywhere about the relations of man, science and morality. The moralities
we have in the various parts of the world are often contradictory. People
believe that our age has created more knowledge than ever through science,
but that knowledge is leading us very near to destruction of this human race. It
may even lead to the death of a whole civilisation. Should not science, which
creates monstrous instruments of destruction, be stopped all together? Are
not the scientists who sell their professional knowledge to the politicians to
spread hazards being made guilty? Today the whole world is suffering because
of that! End of this is not seen nearby. Every person is scared. The coming
generation is growing under fear.
Now time has come to think it over seriously by all countries. Which side are
we going? All human beings have to achieve some kind of balance between the
supposed benefits of science and the future hazards. Countries should refrain
themselves from showing their power and strength to the world. Such
countries should be socially and economically boycotted by all.
In order to demonstrate that all human societies have had to make some
guidelines to survive on earth. It is therefore, essential that science should be
used to promote the spirit of free knowledge and quest, to abolish inequality
between nations, men, and to test all assumptions in the crucible of scientific
analysis, and make this world a beautiful place to live in.
Our sages who made our nation a living entity through the ages, have
enriched our country and given her strength to overcome all types of disaster
with calmness and patience. We are the people who always wish happiness
and healthy life not only for ourselves but also for everyone on this earth. Let’s
continue our great culture and thoughts proudly by keeping this in mind. Yes,
dear children we should feel proud to be an Indian, where science is related to
religion which had made many people consider us as primitive people soaked
in superstition of the lowest sort, but it was only a guideline to stop the misuse
of science. That’s why today we are standing tall and showing the path to the
whole world - the use of science for the betterment of mankind.

Dear Students, I always feel it is wise to learn from
experience but it is wiser to learn from the
experience of others and as I write this I have an
anecdote of my life to share with you all which will
teach you a simple philosophy of life.

I was in grade 4 and there was a blanket rule in my house
‘Don’t go out to play when it rains’. On one fine day my
mother went out for usual grocery shopping and it started
raining. Some of my friends came home to call me out to
play. I was a bit reluctant and my first reaction was NO. But
my miniature sized friends gave me words of advice that I am
big enough to take my own decisions and not to depend on
my Mom.
I was under huge ‘peer pressure’ and yes eventually
succumbed to it. I came out and started jumping from one
puddle to the other and in this excitement I jumped on a
sharp stone. Oh…. a gush of blood started oozing out but
bigger worry then was to face my mother at home.
Somehow, I gathered courage and reached home. My
mother saw the cut and without uttering a word she finished
the dressing of my wound. I took a sigh of relief but suddenly
she asked me to write this 100 times in my notebook ‘I will
not go out to play when it rains.’
With this punishment I learnt a very strong lesson that
sometimes in life saying NO is the only option defying all the
pressure you are under.

Today, technology is one of the most discussed subjects
of our lives. WhatsApp, Twitter, Computers, Smart-phones
and Tablets are some of the aids almost everyone recognises.
The traditional education delivery system has been a classroom
setting with a teacher giving a lecture and students listening and writing
notes.
The teacher’s role is not just to read a book in the classroom. A student
can do this by himself, or even use an online library, like
Wikipedia, which will provide him a plethora of information
anywhere, anytime. His role is to help the student understand
his lesson, and this can be easily achieved by using cyber resources.
What’s more, subjects like history, economics and science would be
done much more efficiently with the use of multimedia such as
pictures, videos, graphs and more. Just by using projection
screens, the lesson would instantly become less boring and
students, especially the visual learners, would be able to absorb the
material much easier.
Cyber resources play a dynamic role in every walk of life. In educational
activities they help a lot to promote students learning. They can
be updated, cheaper, well interactive in showing the images and ideas
through different dimensions and learning becomes much easier and
enjoyable.
Computer and cyber resources play a significant role in education.
Since the use of technology is no longer confined to computer science
majors, it is necessary for all students and future teachers to use and be
aware of computer and implement technology in order to be
successful in their future careers. Teachers are the agents of change

हहदं हदिस हर साि 14 लसतंबर को मनार्ा जाता है। ऐसा इसलिए है
क्र्ोंकक िारत की संवििान सिा ने घोषणा की कक देिनागर लिवप में लिखी
गई हहदं िारत की आधिकाररक िाषा गणराज्जर् है। िारत की संवििान
सिा ने 14 लसतबं र 1949 को िारत गणराज्जर् की आधिकाररक िाषा के रूप
में हहदं को अपनार्ा। हािांकक, इसे 26 जनिर 1950 को देश के सवं ििान
द्िारा आधिकाररक िाषा के रूप में उपर्ोग करने का विचार स्िीकृ त ककर्ा

एक बार एक महात्मा बाजार से होकर गुजर रहा र्था| रास्ते मंे एक
व्र्ल्क्त खजूर बचे रहा र्था| उस महात्मा के मन मंे विचार आर्ा कक
खजूर िने ी चाहहए| उसने अपने मन को समझार्ा और िहां से चि
हदए| ककं तु महात्मा परू रात िर सो नह ं पार्ा|
िह वििश होकर जगं ि में गर्ा और ल्जतना बडा िकडी का गट्ठर
उठा सकता र्था, उसने उठार्ा| उस महात्मा ने अपने मन से कहा कक
र्हद तझु े खजरू खानी है, तो र्ह बोझ उठाना ह पडगे ा|
महात्मा,र्थोडी दरू ह चिता, कफर धगर जाता, कफर चिता और
धगरता| उसमें एक गट्ठर उठाने की हहम्मत नह ं र्थी िके कन उसने
िकडी के िार िार दो गट्ठर उठा रखे र्थे|

महात्मा ने उन पसै ों से खजूर खर दंे िके कन महात्मा ने अपने मन
से कहा कक आज तूने खजरू मागं ी है, कि कफर कोई और इच्छा
करेगी| कि अच्छे-अच्छे कपडे और स्त्री मागं गे ा अगर स्त्री आई तो
बाि बच्चे िी होंगे| तब तो मंै परू तरह से तेरा गुिाम ह हो
जाऊं गा| सामने से एक मसु ाकफर आ रहा र्था| महात्मा ने उस
मुसाकफर को बुिाकर सार खजूर उस आदमी को दे द और खुद को

the victim.
Moreover, it disturbs the peace of mind of a person. Many people are known to
experience depression after they are cyber bullied. In addition, they indulge in self-

Cyber crime , or computer-oriented crime, is a crime that
involves a computer and a network. The computer may have
been used in the commission of a crime, or it may be the
target. Cyber crimes can be defined as: "Offences that are
committed against individuals or groups of individuals with a
criminal motive to intentionally harm the reputation of the victim
or cause physical or mental harm, or loss, to the victim directly
or indirectly, using modern telecommunication networks such
as Internet (networks including chat rooms, emails, notice
boards and groups) and mobile phones (Cybercrime may
threaten a person or a nation's security and financial
health. Issues surrounding these types of crimes have become
high-profile, particularly those regarding hacking, copyright
infringement, unwarranted mass-surveillance, child
pornography, and child grooming.[3]
There are many privacy concerns surrounding cybercrime
when confidential information is intercepted or disclosed,
lawfully or otherwise. Internationally, both governmental and
non-state actors engage in cyber crimes,
including espionage, financial theft, and other cross-border
crimes. Cyber crimes crossing international borders and
involving the actions of at least one nation-state is sometimes
referred to as cyberwarfare.
