Tyler is Co-Founder of Protective Security Advisors. Through his education and work experience he
developed an idea to create a security company that provides consumers with elements that fit their
specific security needs.
With over 10 years of experience, he has been working in environmental health and safety, security
management, emergency management, and loss prevention where he became a certified loss
prevention agent.
Tyler has spent his professional career implementing policies and procedures in business continuity and
risk management through plan development, trainings, performing exercises, and writing executive
safety plans in private, tribal, and public sectors. He has a Master’s of Science in Security Management
from Bellevue University and an Executive MBA from the University of Nebraska at Omaha.
Currently he is working on his PhD in Medical Sciences Interdepartmental Area-Prevention & Societal
Medicine Program with a concentration in Emergency Preparedness at the University of Nebraska
Medical Center.

Jerry Bruna has over 25 years with the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office, Omaha, NE.
He has functioned as a road patrol Deputy, Field Training Officer, Detective in the Criminal Investigation
Bureau and K-9 handler with the Interstate Interdiction Unit.
Jerry has degree’s in Criminal Justice and Security Management along with over 23 years in the security
field and is a member of ASIS International.
Jerry is a certified Nebraska Law Enforcement Officer with over 31 years with two agencies.
He has attended a number of additional training classes / seminars including: Reid Interview and
Interrogation, Criminal Forensic’s and Desert Snow Drug Interdiction.
Jerry served 20 years in the U.S Army as a military officer, retiring honorably with the Iowa National
Guard.
He has worked a number of security details and managed security for local businesses, large indoor /
outdoor concerts, sporting events and has also provided executive protection for VIP’s visiting metro
Omaha.

Incorporated in August of 2015, founders Jerry Bruna and Tyler Davis recognized the need for a
professionalized security management and emergency preparedness firm that addressed gaps
within the Security Industry. Jerry offers 30 years of Law Enforcement experience and served
20 years as an Army Officer in the United States Military. Tyler has 10 years of experience in
loss prevention, emergency management, security management, and environmental health and
safety.

We will expand into emerging markets that provide significant security challenges while increasing
professionalism in the security industry.

Off-Duty Law Enforcement Officers:

Protective Security Advisors will work with local law enforcement officers to schedule off-duty officers to provide
security services at any event or location. We have built a strong relationship with law enforcement and can
provide services with off-duty officers for all types of events. We understand when it is necessary to utilize off-
duty law enforcement and can advise on how many officers would be needed and if off-duty law enforcement is
necessary.
