It’s been another incredible year of development for all of us at Davanti. 

It’s been over two years since we introduced the brand to the UK tyre
industry and the time has flown by for everyone involved. From day
one we’ve been driven by our desire to bring a fresh approach to the
industry and give both tyre dealers and consumers a range of products
they can have confidence in.

We’ve had some great success already. We’ve set up an ever growing
network of quality partners all around the UK & Ireland and we hope
they are enjoying, and will continue to enjoy all the benefits our tyres
bring to their businesses. To those businesses, we say thank you for
putting your trust in our brand and our team. We can promise you that
the pace at which we’re developing the brand won’t slow down, if anything
we’re going to accelerate our plans to make sure Davanti continues to repay
the faith you have in us.

At the heart of our success to date are the products themselves. When we launched back in 2015, we
did so with a range of 70 sizes across two tyre patterns. Fast forward two years and we now have over
250 sizes/fitments across six summer and four winter patterns. Expanding our range has always been
done with the UK market as the core focus. We pride ourselves on our market knowledge and our
forecasting of future demand. This allows us to launch new products, which we know will be instantly
welcomed by the market.

2018 will see some more really exciting range developments, which will further increase our portfolio.
We want to make sure we have the right tyres for any vehicle that drives into your business; alongside
giving you all the evidence to show you can have complete confidence when fitting them.

In this magazine, you will see some of Davanti’s latest achievements and marketing activities. We’ve
invested heavily in testing, development, range expansion and in our brand identity; I believe all of these
are key to continued success in an extremely competitive market.

We’re all very proud of what’s been achieved during our short time in the market and we look forward
to working closely with all of our partners into 2018 and beyond.

Wheeling Out Global Partnerships 

In August 2017, we announced a commercial partnership deal to become Everton Football Club’s
Official Tyre Partner. The three-year commercial sponsorship deal was signed at Goodison Park with
Peter Cross, Davanti’s General Manager and Alan McTavish of Everton Football Club.
After significant growth both domestically and internationally, we felt the time was right
to focus on the next stage of our global brand development. This long term partnership is
key to our global expansion plans and this allows us to collaborate with Everton Football
Club on a number of projects to promote our brand in the UK and around the world.
We believe the partnership with Everton will be hugely beneficial in raising consumer
awareness and aligns us to one of the Premier League’s most recognised clubs.
It’s an exciting time for both organisations and there are a lot of synergies to be
drawn between the ambitions of both companies to grow
on a global scale.

Davanti Have Been Awarded the Prestigious TÜV SÜD Seal of Approval

The accolade is further evidence of Davanti becoming a trusted brand across Europe, instilling
confidence in tyre dealers and consumers alike. It also reinforces our commitment to safety, reliability
and all round driving performance.

Headquartered in Munich, Germany and founded in 1866, TÜV SÜD is one of the world’s leading technical
service organisations. To be awarded the TÜV SÜD performance certification mark, the tyre must
comply with certain threshold values in a programme of demanding tests. The programme includes
criteria from fields such as driving dynamics, driving safety, operational reliability and environmental
properties. To be awarded the certification mark, the tyres tested must outperform the existing
standards and threshold values.

The DX390 was tested against several leading mid range competitors, giving a weighted outcome that
outperformed all of their rivals. Davanti excelled in areas key to the UK market including wet braking,
dry braking and lateral wet grip. The DX390 also came out on top in the road noise test, achieving the
lowest score of all competitors, resulting in a quiet and comfortable drive for the consumer.

To achieve the award, Davanti’s world-leading manufacturing plant was also visited and audited several
times. The TÜV SÜD independent accreditation and inspection of Davanti’s facilities assists in proving
that their European led product development, coupled with production at one of the world’s most
advanced production facilities is a winning formula.

Davanti are committed to constant testing and development of their full product range. The evidence
documented by TÜV SÜD is supported not only by their exceptional EU Tyre Labelling scores, but also
by comparative testing results at IDIADA, one of Europe’s leading automotive proving grounds.

Davanti Achieves Premium Standard Mileage

A key measure of a tyre’s performance is it’s mileage capability.

Often omitted in major comparative tyre tests, a high mileage return means value for money to
consumers.

In April 2017, Davanti commissioned an independent German testing organisation, IFV, to assess their
mileage capabilities in real world driving conditions.

Ingenieurgesellschaft für Fahrversuche mbH (IFV) are an independent
testing organisation based in central Germany.

For over 30 years, they have provided tyre wear evaluation for vehicle
manufacturers such as Audi, Volkswagen and Bentley.

Rather than using laboratory equipment to calculate a tyres potential mileage, IFV work with leading
vehicle and tyre manufacturers, deploying test vehicles across the cities and motorways of Germany.
Measuring and recording tread wear this way gives their clients factual evidence of tyre performance
without the scepticism that comes from laboratory produced results.

approval from all vehicle manufacturers they work with.

UK Braced for the Wintoura Arrival

Although only a small part of total tyres sales, the UK winter market is well established and has remained
static over the past 5 years. One thing that has changed is the emergence of quality mid-range brands
like Davanti to challenge the previous premium stronghold on this part of the market.
With winters in the UK being almost impossible to predict, we have created a range of four individual
patterns specifically designed for different vehicle applications, giving our dealers and customers more
choice.
We invest heavily in research, development and testing before launching any of our products; and the
new Davanti Wintoura range is no exception. The development of our new winter range spanned 3
years with final testing completed at Test World Oy, Finland earlier this year.
The four patterns span the HP, UHP, SUV and Commercial Van market segments and are now available
in the UK and across Europe in time for the upcoming 2017 winter season. The four patterns in the
range are the Wintoura, Wintoura+, Wintoura SUV and Wintoura Van.

Winning on Land and Sea

After two promising years on dry land, we decided to dominate at sea. The start of this year saw us
sponsor a J Class yacht aptly named ‘The Davanti Tyres’.

‘The Davanti Tyres’ J/112E was first debuted at The Round the Island Race at the Isle of White 2017
in July. This race regularly attracts over 1,400 boats and around 15,000 sailors, making it one of the
largest yacht races in the world and the fourth largest participation sporting event in the UK. ‘The
Davanti Tyre’s’ debut event saw her achieve 1st place within her category.

More recently ‘The Davanti Tyres’ won notable titles at the prestigious 2017 Lendy Cowes Week. The event
is one of the UK’s longest running events and is a key highlight of the British sporting summer. This year’s
event saw Davanti’s UK Regional Sales Manager, Andrew Kent join the crew of The Davanti Tyres, under
the leadership of Skipper Chaz Ivill. The crew brought home spectacular wins within the yacht’s class.

In August 2017 Sean Maddocks Davanti’s UK & Ireland Sales Director also joined the crew at The 2017
J-Cup bringing to shore yet another win, with ‘The Davanti Tyres’ declared the 2017 J-Cup winner. The
Davanti Tyres yacht is now at the forefront of competitive sailing and racing across UK & European
waters, with a great sailing season to look forward to in 2018.

Racing Ahead with Davanti

We have continued our impressive hot streak with a
successful partnership with the Autodromo Internacional
Algarve Racing School in Portugal. The Racing School sees
over 50% of their 1 million yearly visitors come from the UK.

In September 2016, we held our first Product Experience
event at the circuit, inviting over 50 of our Performance
Centre dealers along with key European journalists. Test
drivers from all over Portugal staffed the event and were
so impressed with the tyres performance, a two year
partnership was secured.

Over the next two years all vehicles at the AIA Racing School, which include a Porsche Cayman S, Audi
RS3, Audi TTS and Honda Civic Type-R, will be fitted with DX640 UHP tyres. All professional racing
tuition, track experiences, and demonstrations will be performed on Davanti tyres.

The Autodromo do Algarve made a name for itself in the UK recently as it was featured on the series
premiere of The Grand Tour with Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May. The show
featured the much anticipated ‘Holy Trinity’ hypercar showdown between the McLaren P1, the Ferrari
LaFerrari and the Porsche 918. Visitors to the Autodromo Internacional will be able to put their skills to
the test on the ‘hallowed’ asphalt of the circuit on Davanti rubber. The track has 14 International Races,
with the track in use over 300 days of the year, with around 50% of visitors coming from the UK and
seeing the Davanti brand partnership.
