Qisos Mosque
The Qisos Mosque is actually named
the Sheikh Ibrahim Al-Juffali Mosque. The
name is taken from the name of a wealthy
Saudi Arabian man who built this mosque.
The Qisos Mosque is located in downtown
Jeddah in the Balad area. The exact
location is in the middle of a large
roundabout between Sheikh Al Juffali
Street, Baghdadiyah Street and Medina
Street. In the western part of this mosque
there is the Secretariat of the Ministry of
Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi
Arabia.
The qisos mosque became famous
because it was used as a qisos place for
perpetrators of crimes that killed other
people's lives. They are rewarded with
qisos punishment, or punishment
according to what they have done. In
accordance with Islamic teachings, qisos is
carried out by beheading the convict who
is proven to have committed murder.
