KATA PENGANTAR Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik (LKPD) berjudul ENGLISH FOR YOU ini disusun sebagai kelengkapan penerapan model pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris berbasis Culturally Responsive Teaching. LKPD ini digunakan bagi siswa kelas V sekolah dasar. Buku ini berisi lima chapter pembelajaran yang terdiri dari materi, kegiatan pembelajaran, dan soal-soal latihan Setiap chapter berisi tahapan pembelajaran yang dimulai dari kegiaExploration, Language Understanding, Language Practice, Language Production dan Test and Feedback. Guru dan siswa diharapkan dapat melakukan pembelajaran sesuai tahapan yang telah dirancang. Pada akhir pembelajaran setiap chapter, siswa diharapkan dapat mengisi lembar Self Reflection sebagai bahan evaluasi pencapaian pembelajaran. Menurut kepercayaan suku Batak, ada 3 sumber kehangatan. Yaitu matahari, api dan kain ulos. Ulos merupakan kain tenun khas batak yang menyimpan makna tiap jenis motifnya. Ulos melambangkan suka cita bagi masyarakat batak. Ulos sering digunakan pada saat pesta pernikahan, disematkan pada orang yang mendapat jabatan, dan digunakan pada proses pemakaman jenazah. LANGUAGE UNDERSTANDING The Origin of Ulos Ulos is a type of traditional Indonesian woven fabric which has been developed hereditary by the Batak people, North Sumatra. The dominant colors of Ulos are red, black and white. Ulos has various shapes such as are rectangles, squares, triangles. The following are the types of Ulos Batak. Ulos Pinuncaan. This is a large ulos worn by kings in various traditional events. Ulos Ragi Huting. In the past, this ulos was used as daily clothing wrapped around the chest (Hoba-hoba) of traditional Batak Toba princess (virgin girl). Ulos Bintang Maratur. This ulos is a medium of joy or good news given to people who get fortune. Ulos Bolean. This ulos is usually worn as a shawl at mourning events.
