Letter From HR
Associates;
This area of the newsletter will be dedicated to keeping you aware of CTDI’s Employment Policies and Work
Rules. If you have any questions, please see your supervisor. Policies and Work Rules covered this month are
Littering and Breaks and Meal Periods.
Littering: Littering on CTDI premises, including parking lots, building facilities, and outdoor areas, is strictly
prohibited, and cigarette butts must be disposed of in the receptacles provide.
Break and Meal Periods: Each employee who works an eight (8) hour shift receives two (2) fifteen-minute
break periods, which are paid, and one (1) meal period, which is unpaid. Specific break times are determined
by location and department. When an employee works a shift of twelve hours (12) hours or more, he or she will
receive one (1) fifteen minute break during each four (4) hour period in excess of eight (8) hours. Meal periods
are generally either 30 or 45 minutes and are determined by location and department. Break and meal periods
may be adjusted at management’s discretion.
Local Requirements: In this branch, break periods are 15 minutes and the meal period is 30 minutes. If per-
sonal business needs to be conducted, it is to be done during your meal or break period. Please do not conduct
personal business on the production floor. With permission of management, schedules can be adjusted to
accommodate specific needs. Please check with a supervisor or manager first.
We’re all in this together!
Thanks;

Dave Mincks - Quality
The Quality group continues to be busy with DCI units and the normal flow of set top boxes and Non
Video product. Quality has had some recent personnel changes with Tyler Evan assuming the first shift
lead role and Dharmindra Jarkami on second.
Columbus Quality trains frequently and has been involved with a corporate pilot project on training
documentation. Mandy Cremeans will mentor others in the TWC/Charter vertical with this undertaking.
This initiative should save numerous trees as well as making the monitoring of training much more
efficient.
As per usual Columbus Quality will be emphasizing the “one box at a time; make it right “mantra. With
Charter taking over soon it is important that our quality is excellent to get off on the right foot for those
not familiar our work! Remember what Henry Ford said “Quality means doing it right when no one is
looking”
