Research showed that few people in Bradford actually knew what a healthy
blood pressure was and were unaware of the key contributors to high
blood pressure. A series of characters were developed showing high risk
blood pressure numbers (140/90), with these characters indulging in an
unhealthy lifestyle.

A social media campaign then built on the numbers theme to show key
facts, such as obesity tripling your risk of high blood pressure and smoking
doubling your chance of a stroke. Users could also go to the website for
free advice on healthy living which also included free healthy recipes and a
guide to healthy restaurants in the area.

The CLAHRC Manchester wanted to revamp their current website and were looking
to produce a site that gave the team better functionality and control in managing and
creating pages and content. A key consideration was the transfer and importing of
historical data dating back from the early 1990’s!

Our creative and technical developed a site design using our proprietary CMS
‘CubeCore’ that was functional and allowed for multiple users. We quickly realised the
scale of the import of data was phenomenal – several hundreds of pages/links/content
that needed to be imported and categorised. We did this using a bespoke algorithm,
which reduced the time it would take to import and then working with the client in
refining the number of categories, this ensured all future content would be classified
correctly. We future proofed the site to ensure personalisation could be adopted once
users are familiar with the new site.
