Message from Assoc. Prof. Somskaow Bejranonda, Ph.D.
Head of the Department of Economics
On behalf of the Department of Economics, all faculty members and staff,
I sincerely welcome new students to our BEcon Program and be a part of this
small community which has been established for over 80 years as the founding

provide high quality education comparable with the international standards.
We aim at preparing our students to be professional economists with
sufficient knowledge and skills as well as equipping them with high ethical and

However, students’ success will not happen by chance, instead it depends on their
determination, dedication, and efforts. I hope that our new students can meet all of
the program requirements and succeed well in their studies. Our department can
ensure that we will do the best to assist our students to achieve their goals. Lastly,
let me, once again, congratulate all new students on their successful first step as a
university student. May I wish them all a further success here.
Warm regards,
