Our team

After many successes in her career, Charlie Hayward was ready for a new challenge and so
Montana Resourcing was born. Montana Resourcing was later joined by Lucy Du Plessis, granting
Montana Resourcing an excess of 50 years’ experience between the two of them.  Charlie and
Lucy’s extreme dedication have kept Montana Resourcing well-regarded, and have secured
amazing relationships with their clients. 

Charlie Hayward, being a passionate entrepreneur, founded Montana
Resourcing in October 2006. This was after she spent 10 years working
in the recruitment industry, and then starting a previous company which
she sold to a leading recruitment services company in South Africa.
Charlie has been a successful business owner for over 20 years and
with experience in recruitment for over 27 years, has incredible
knowledge and understanding about the industry. Charlie is motivated
by her success and her passion for helping people recognize their
natural potential. She believes that talent and inherent potential is what
ultimately counts. This is where one of the core philosophies of
Montana Resourcing stems from - Charlie believes in finding talent and
not employees.
Lucy du Plessis embarked on a journey in the recruitment industry
straight after she completed her BA (Hons) in the mid 1980’s. Lucy has
experienced it all: the IT revolution and transformation, the global
growth of the South African engineering sector and the new era of
investment and private client banking. After a 25-year corporate career
with leading brands within the industry, Lucy took a leap of faith and
joined Montana Resourcing in partnership with her long-time friend and
colleague, Charlie Hayward. Today, as an expert recruiter, a keen
observer of people and business, and a skilled mentor and trainer of
staff, she offers efficient recruitment advice and services. Lucy guides
each client through the recruitment process with understanding and
skilful support.
