Introduction - In Brief

For the group assignment, students in teams of 5
members will be assigned to evaluate the
performance of selected company. You are been
given one (1) public listed company from Bursa
Malaysia and analyze the financial statements of
that company and other relevant information for
the last three (3) recent fiscal years that you can
obtain and then suggest the investment decision.
Furthermore, each group needs to evaluate the
stock price performance of the companies chosen
for the company's investment.

DETAILS GUIDELINES

You are required to analyze the financial statements of the given company
(ONE (1) company) and other relevant information for the last THREE (3)
recent fiscal years (2018, 2019, 2020) that you can obtain and then suggest
the investment decision.

Your analysis should cover to the following information:
Description of company’s background; mission, vision, board of directors,
organizational structure of your company.
Analysis of company competitive position in its industry (SWOT analysis);
Financial Ratios (at least two ratios for each type of financial ratios below).
- Profitability ratios
- Liquidity ratios
- Asset Management ratios
- Capital Structure ratios
- Market Value ratios
(Or you can use the categories of ratios as stated in our main textbook:

Operating Profitability, Firm Liquidity , Financing Decisions, Return on Equity,
Creating Shareholder Value - Please refer to as many as references you can
and don't rely on our main textbook only.

Discuss and interpret in details the findings of financial ratios. Provide
suggestions for the company based on the performance evaluation above.
As CEO of company, choose five well-known corporations for the
investment of company. From the site Yahoo Finance obtain an analysis of
the stock price performance of the companies chosen since 2015. Suppose
you had invested RM100,000 in each of these companies on January 1,
2015. Calculate the value of this RM500,000 portfolio at present. Please
state reasons to invest or not to invest in those chosen companies.
Please state, if there is any, obstacles or limitations faced by the
companies.

Written Report

Your results of analysis should be presented in
the form of a written report.
The report must be typed with margin 1 inch,
double-spaced, font size is 12, and numbers of
pages are not less than 15 pages.
