นิทานอีสป กระต่ายกับเต่า

กระต่ายหลงตัวเอง ชอบโอ้อวดว่าวิ่งเร็วกว่าใครๆ เมื่อเห็นเต่าเดินต้วมเตี้ยม
มาก็หัวเราะเยาะ พร้อมกับพูดจาถากถางว่าต่อให้เต่าวิ่งนำหน้าไปก่อน
กระต่ายก็สามารถก็แซงหน้าได้อยู่ดี ทำให้เต่าเกิดความไม่พอใจ จึงท้า

กระต่ายวิ่งแข่งกัน กระต่ายเริ่มวิ่งนำหน้าเต่าไปไกล แต่เมื่อไปถึงครึ่งทาง ก็
เกิดความชะล่าใจ หยุดพักเอนกายนอนใต้ต้นไม้ใหญ่จนเผลอหลับไป ในขณะ
ที่เต่ายังคงเดินต่อไปเรื่อยๆ อย่างไม่ลดละ เมื่อกระต่ายตื่นนอนขึ้นมาก็ตกใจ

รีบลนลานวิ่งไปยังเส้นชัย ทว่าเต่าไปถึงเส้นชัยก่อนแล้ว

คติสอนใจ : ความประมาทเป็นต้นเหตุของความ
พ่ายแพ้ แม้คู่ต่อสู้จะอ่อนด้อยกว่าก็ตาม

นิทานอีสป ราชสีห์กับหนู

ราชสีห์เจ้าป่ากำลังนอนหลับอย่างสบายใจ หนูตัวหนึ่งวิ่งซุกซนจนเผลอไต่

ขึ้นไปบนร่างของราชสีห์ ทำให้ราชสีห์ตื่นและร้องคำรามด้วยความโกรธ จึง
ตะปบหนูไว้ในกรงเล็บ หนูตกใจกลัวจนตัวสั่น พร้อมร้องขอชีวิตและกล่าว
ว่า หากปล่อยตัวเองไป ในวันข้างหน้าอาจสามารถช่วยเหลือราชสีห์ได้ แม้
ราชสีห์จะหัวเราะเยาะ แต่ก็ยอมปล่อยหนูไป ต่อมาวันหนึ่งราชสีห์ออกล่า
เหยื่อแล้วพลาดท่าติดบ่วงของนายพราน พยายามดิ้นเท่าไรก็ดิ้นไม่หลุด หนู
ได้ยินเสียงร้องของราชสีห์จึงเข้ามาช่วยเหลือด้วยการกัดแทะบ่วงจนขาด

ทำให้ราชสีห์รอดชีวิตมาได้ จากความช่วยเหลือของหนูตัวเล็กๆ นั่นเอง
คติสอนใจ : อย่าดูแคลนผู้ใดว่าไร้ค่า คนเล็กๆ อาจทำสิ่งที่ยิ่งใหญ่ได้ใน

แม่หมูมีลูกน้อย 3 ตัว และได้ปล่อยให้ลูกๆ ได้ออกเดินทางไปเผชิญโลกภายนอกด้วย
ตัวเอง ลูกหมูตัวที่ 1 ผู้เกียจคร้านได้ออกไปสร้างบ้านที่ทำจากฟาง เพราะทำได้ง่าย
และเร็วที่สุด แต่วันหนึ่งหมาป่าจ้องจะมากินลูกหมูตัวที่ 1 ซึ่งบ้านไม่มีความแข็งแรง
ทำให้ลูกหมูต้องวิ่งหนีสุดชีวิตไปหลบที่บ้านของลูกหมูตัวที่ 2 ที่สร้างจากไม้ แม้จะมี
ความแข็งแรงกว่า แต่ก็ไม่สามารถต้านทานหมาป่าได้อีกเช่นกัน ลูกหมูทั้ง 2 ตัว จึง
รีบวิ่งหนีออกไปยังบ้านของลูกหมูตัวที่ 3 ซึ่งสร้างด้วยอิฐ เมื่อหมาป่าตามมา ก็ไม่

สามารถทำลายบ้านอิฐได้ ลูกหมูทั้ง 3 ตัวจึงรอดชีวิต

คติสอนใจ : ความเกียจคร้านแม้จะทำให้เราสบาย แต่ก็อาจนำทุกข์
ภัยมาสู่ตนได้

มาจิ้งจอกตัวหนึ่งพลัดตกลงไปในบ่อลึก พยายามจะตะเกียก
ตะตายอยู่นาน จนกระทั่งมีหมาป่าตัวหนึ่งเดินผ่านมา ทาง
ด้านหมาจิ้งจอกได้ตะโกนขอความช่วยเหลือ หมาป่าจึงถาม
ว่าทำไมถึงตกลงไปในบ่อน้ำลึกแบบนี้ อยู่ในน้ำนานหรือยัง
แล้วไม่มีใครผ่านมาเห็นเลยหรือ? หมาจิ้งจอกได้ตอบกลับว่า
ข้าก็หวังให้เจ้ามาช่วย รีบดึงขึ้นไปก่อน แล้วจะเล่าเรื่องต่างๆ

! !หมาตัวหนึ่งเดินคาบเนื้อวิ่งข้ามสะพานมา เมื่อถึงกลางสะพานก็
ก้มมองลงไปในบ่อน้ำเบื้องล่าง เห็นหมาตัวหนึ่งกำลังคาบชิ้น
เนื้อที่ใหญ่กว่า ซึ่งจริงๆ แล้วเป็นเงาของตัวเอง เจ้าหมาก็เกิด
ความละโมบ อ้าปากเห่ากระโชกเพื่อหวังจะแย่งชิ้นเนื้อในน้ำมา
เป็นของตัวเอง ปรากฏว่าทันทีที่อ้าปาก เนื้อที่คาบอยู่ก็ร่วงหล่น
ลงน้ำ กว่าจะสำนึกได้ว่าหมากับก้อนเนื้อที่เห็นคือเงาของตัวเอง
ในน้ำ ก็สายเกินไปแล้ว
