Deskripsi Singkat

Pada Modul 3 ini Peserta didik akan mempelajari ungkapan terkait waktu (time), tanggal
(date), nama bulan (months), dan nama hari (days). Pembelajaran dalam Modul ini disajikan dalam
bentuk percakapan. Peserta didik dapat melihat daftar kata-kata sulit yang ada pada kolom
vocabulary sebelum mengerjakan tugas yang disedikan. Secara mandiri, peserta didik dapat
berlatih membacakan dialog-dialog tersebut dan belajar untuk memahami isi dialog dengan
menjawab beberapa pertanyaan terkait fungsi sosial, struktur teks, dan unsur kebahasaan.
Pembelajaran ini disampaikan ke dalam berbagai kegiatan. Pada akhir kegiatan belajar,
berkomunikasi baik secara tertulis maupun lisan sertadapat menyimpulkan apa yang telah dipelajari
terkait ungkapan waktu (time), tanggal (date), nama bulan (months), dan nama hari (days).

Let’s Get Ready

Salam sehat dan semangat peserta didik MTs MU YAKIN. Pada pertemuan ini Ananda
akan belajar teks dialog untuk menanyakan dan memberi informasi terkait dengan waktu
(time). Jika Ananda mendengar kata waktu, benda apa yang langsung muncul di benak Ananda?
Mungkin jam dinding, jam tangan atau jam alarm yang telah disetting di hand phone. Selain
benda, kegiatan apa yang Ananda ingat ketika mendengar kata waktu? Mungkin Ananda
mengingat pukul berapa Ananda bangun dipagi hari atau pukul berapa Ananda berangkat ke
sekolah. Selanjutnya, ayo Ananda perhatikan gambar berikut.

Peserta didik SMP Terbuka, Ananda telah memahami beberapa contoh ungkapan untuk
menyebutkan waktu. Selanjutnya Ananda akan berlatih memahami teks lisan melalui contoh
dialog. Sebelum membaca dialog tersebut ayo Ananda terlebih dahulu perhatikan beberapa
contoh ungkapan terkait asking and telling about time seperti contoh di bawah ini:

kata baru terkait kegiatan atau aktivitas yang bias akita lakukan sehari-hari. Tentu Ananda

B. Aktivitas Pembelajaran

Let’s Get Ready

Peserta didik MTs MU YAKIN, Ananda sudah mengetahui cara mengucapkan waktu/jam
dalam bahasa Inggris. Sekarang Ananda akan belajar teks dialog terkait ungkapan menanyakan
dan memberi informasi terkait tanggal (date) dan nama bulan(month).

Pada Modul 1 Ananda telah belajar ungkapan memberi dan meminta informasi terkait
time. Pada materi kali ini, Ananda mempelajari materi terkait tanggal (date) dan bulan
(months). Tentunya Ananda bersemangat untuk mempelajari materi ini. Ananda dapat
melakukan aktivitas menarik; saling bertukar informasi dengan teman kelas tentang tanggal
lahir mungkin atau bulan lahir. Selain itu, Ananda dapat pula saling berbagi informasi dengan
teman kelas terkait tanggal peringatan hari Nasional Indonesia. Namun, sebelum Ananda
melakukan aktivitas tersebut, Ananda harus mengenal ordinal

number terlebih dahulu. Ordinal number dikenal juga sebagai angka urutan dipakai
dalam penyebutan tanggal (date). Penyebutan tanggal dalam bahasa Inggris berbeda dengan
Indonesia. Ananda akan menggunakan ordinal number jika menyebut tanggal dalam bahasa Inggris.
Namun, sebaliknya Ananda akan menggunakan cardinal number jika menyebut tanggal dalam bahasa
Indonesia. Bagaimana? Apakah Ananda sudah siap untuk menyebutkan ordinal number bersama-sama?
Ayo kita mengucapkan ordinal number bersama-sama.

Ananda mengetahui beberapa hari nasional Indonesia. Sekarang Ananda
perhatikan beberapa hari nasional Indonesia dalam bahasa Inggris. Pada kegiatan
ini, guru Ananda akan menyebut nama hari nasional Indonesia, sedangkan Ananda
dan teman-teman Ananda menyebutkan nama bulan dan tanggal hari perayaannya.

kepada teman-teman Ananda. Daftar mata pelajaran di bawah ini bisa Ananda gunakan pada

saat menyusun jadwal pelajaran.

Deskripsi Singkat

Pada Modul 4 ini Ananda akan mempelajari ungkapan meminta dan memberi terkait nama
dan jumlah hewan, benda, dan tempat umum. Pembelajaran dalam Modul ini disajikan dalam
bentuk percakapan. Ananda dapat melihat daftar kata-kata sulit yang ada pada kolom
vocabulary sebelum mengerjakan tugas yang disediakan. Secara mandiri, Ananda dapat
berlatih membacakan dialog-dialog tersebut dan belajar untuk memahami isi dialog dengan
menjawab beberapa pertanyaan terkait fungsi sosial, struktur teks, dan unsur kebahasaan.
Pembelajaran ini disampaikan ke dalam berbagai kegiatan. Pada akhir kegiatan belajar, Ananda
dapat berkomunikasi baik secara tertulis maupun lisan serta menyimpulkan ungkapan memberi
dan meminta informasi terkait nama dan jumlah hewan, benda, dan tempat umum.

Let’s Get Ready

Salam sehat dan semangat Ananda MTs MU YAKIN. Dan jangan lupa kita selalu berdoa
dahulu sebelum memulai kegiatan pembelajaran, agar diberi kemudahan dan kelancaran dalam
memhami pelajaran bahasa Inggris pada modul ini.Pada pertemuan ini Ananda akan belajar
teks dialog ungkapan menanyakan dan memberi informasi terkait hewan (animals). Jika
mendengar kata hewan, hewan apa yang pertama kali Ananda pikikan? Apakah kelinci, kucing,

There is + singular noun (There is, digunakan untuk mengungkapkan keberadaan benda yang

There are + plural noun (there are, digunakan untuk mengungkapkan keberadaanbenda yang
jumlanya lebih dari satu/plural) Example : There are two crocodiles

Note 2:

Perhatikan penggunaan benda tunggal (singular noun) dan benda jamak (plural noun)

.Singular artinya satu , sedangkan plural artinya lebih dari satu.

Plural Noun Rumusnya adalah Kata benda + -s/-es.

Jika kata benda jumlahnya lebih dari satu, maka kata benda tersebut ditambahkan huru S

di akhir kata. Contoh : two books, three pens.

Beberapa kata benda jamak ditambahakn “ES” (Jika kata benda tersebut diakhiri dengan

huruf s, x, ch, sh). Selain itu kata benda jamak yang berakhiran dengan huruf “Y” maka

bentuknya menjadi -ies. Dan jika kata benda yang diakhiri huruf “F” jika dalam bentuk

jamak maka berubah bentuk dari F ke V dan ditambahkan -

-es.

Article (a/an, the) atau kata sandang dalam bahasa Indonesia. Artikel digunakan sebelum
kata benda.
1. A/AN digunakan untuk benda bebas (indefinite singular nouns.)
• Tempatkan artikel “A” kata kata benda yang dimulai dengan bunyi konsonan (consonant
sounds). For example: a book, a crocodile, a flower, a mouse, a snake, a shirt, a unicorn.
•Tempatkan AN sebelum kata benda yang dimulai dengan bunyi vokal (vocal sounds) (a, i, u,
