2ND QUARTER 2019

Project BREWED - DFW INTL. AIRPORT
Spotlight: TERMINAL D

Brewed opened its doors with the idea of creating a space where friends
could gather over a pint of beer and a great meal. The original Brewed is
located on Magnolia Avenue in Fort Worth, and they’ve recently expanded to
the Bishop Arts District and inside Terminal D at DFW Airport. Trinity built
the project. It included a 2,300 square foot demolition and tenant
finish out. The project was a difficult design with strict design standards
and tight timelines, but the Trinity Team delivered. Passengers flying out of
DFW can now get the full Brewed experience. Great job team!

TEAM MEMBER OF THE QUARTER:

DAVID CRITES - SUPERINTENDENT

David has been with Trinity since February, and in that time he’s made his mark as a
great superintendent. David says the three most important things he’s learned while
working at TCC are the importance of team work, good communication, and good
planning. His favorite parts of working for Trinity are that it’s a well structured
company, the integrity of his colleagues, and the willingness of the leadership team to
assist the field. His career has taught him discipline and the importance of ownership
and responsibility. He credits his father as his biggest influence in his career.

He holds his family most important and enjoys camping with them on the weekends.
When he’s not at work you can find him enjoying the lake or training to be a pistol/rifle
instructor. In five years, David sees himself living on the land his family has been
praying for - healthy, wealthy and happy. Professionally, he sees himself with TCC as
a general superintendent or in the office. David says, “Team work makes the dream
work.” David is a hard-working employee who strives to live our Core Values, and we
are proud that he’s part of the Trinity Team. Congratulations, David!

CORE VALUES: 2ND QUARTER 2019

Core Values are our constitution. AUTHENTIC
PEOPLE
They are the principles shared by everyone in our FEARLESS
company. These values drive our culture and SPIRITED
priorities while providing a framework in which all
decisions are made. STEWARDSHIP

The Core Values are the foundation on which the
company is built.

CORE VALUES IN ACTION

Trinity has been awarded an exciting new project – one that could be the largest in company
history – inside Southlake Town Square. It’s a retail and restaurant hybrid built inside an existing
space. The client is calling it Project Hawaii; because it’s so secretive, not even a name has been
finalized.

The entire team worked together to help bring this opportunity to our door, and the thing that
ultimately convinced the customer to hire Trinity was how thorough we were in our approach.

We talked about our core values first; so they understood what was important to us. We took
the time to meet with their whole team, and they met ours; so we were able to start building a
relationship. We showed them our experience and expertise, and we introduced our reputation
and relationships; so they knew we were competent. Finally, we outlined project-specific issues
on the horizon, and provided them proactive solutions and benefits; so they understood that we
knew the job better than our competition.

Our approach built confidence and credibility sufficient for award of the project. This was a
great team win, and it’s illustrative of what we can accomplish together, as one team.

OPPORTUNITY FOR IMPROVEMENT

An Opportunity for Improvement, OFI, is any idea or suggestion meant to make Trinity a better

company. We collect these OFIs from our customers, stakeholders and team

members, and we select the best one(s) and either share them, or if Iron
possible, implement them enterprise-wide. It’s designed to be a real, ongoing

conversation with our partners, both internal and external, all with the singular sharpens
purpose of hearing real, concrete opportunities and responding in real, iron
concrete ways. This quarter, the OFI we have highlighted comes from an

external partner who has worked with us on a recent, high-profile project. She

challenged us to be pro-active in offering solutions. She said that her general

contractor partners offer the most value when they come to her not just with a problem, but

when they also come with a carefully-considered solution. She is looking for a real

construction partner who understands how to work collaboratively with the rest of the

development team.

We affirmatively position Trinity as the partner who will help our clients see issues on the
horizon and then guide them towards the best solutions. As we move forward every day,
working to separate Trinity from our competition, let’s remember to make a concerted effort
not just to identify problems – but to pro-actively plan solutions relying on Trinity’s experience
and expertise, reputation and relationships. Our customers notice, and it makes us a better,
stronger partner!
