Principal’s Message

Fr. Paul Correa (Principal)

Dear Readers,

I am delighted to present this emagazine of our school, fruit of the
creativity & hardwork of our students & teachers. Even though our

students are not present in the school they are quite active &

innovative at home.

We are faced with the worst ever global crisis in our life time. The

COVID-19 has so far affected all countries of the world. The rapid

spread of the virus has left humankind feeling powerless in the face of
its onslaught.

This explosion of the virus of death makes us realize that we are not

the Masters of life. We humans have forgotten that we are

2 | P a g e

interconnected and interdependent. Assuming we are the lords of

creation, we subjugated the earth, plundered nature and exploited our

fellow human beings. We fought in the name of religion, caste, colour
and ethnicity.

Today, this public health crisis has exposed the deep fissures in our
relationships with the Almighty, fellow humans and the earth.

There are also viruses of death within us: selfishness, hatred,

corruption, exploitation, violence, prejudice and discrimination. This

virus of death has disconnected us from our Lifeline as a result there

is lockdown and

isolation within.

We need to face this situation as one family boldly & confidently. We

need to support the sick, the suffering, financially shattered & pray
for them.

This is certainly a tough time for our students and parents as they

have to do lots of adjustment to study online which cannot replace

school environment. I would like to suggest all my students to make use

of this challenging situation to improve their skills and widen the

horizons of knowledge as the whole world is on their palm. Our
teachers have quickly adjusted to the new situation & are contributing

their best to make the online teaching effective and relevant in these

testing times.

I wish that all of you take full care of yourselves & others to remain

healthy & smiling.

God bless us all.

Literature

Literature is a medium to express what one feels and feels

uncomfortable in becoming verbal. A small part of literature is poems.

This pandemic has helped many kids to find their hidden talents of

writing. Here we are presenting beautifully penned thoughts regarding
covid.

Plantation

The nature is an escape from stress and anxiety. It helps us heal on

mental level. This pandemic and lockdown had become a very difficult

situation for all of us. In order to have mental peace, the children have

tried to have acquaintance with plants. Here are some pictures

depicting the same.

Art

The drawings, the paintings, they speak numerous words. A blank page

too holds a lot, which is supposed to be observed and understood.

We've a collection of kids, who are very brilliant at speaking through

art, and the same is being portrayed over here.

Music

When words fail to express, music speaks. There's music in every

object present in this universe. From chirping of birds to the rhythmic

lub-dub sound of heartbeat. There are a handful of students who've

tried their hands in musical instruments too. Have a look over them too.

8 | P a g e

Meditation and Yoga

In this fast schedule, in order to have stability, yoga and meditation

are the utmost need. The yoga pose is not the goal. Becoming flexible

isn't the goal. Standing on your hands isn't the goal. The goal is

serenity. Balance. Truly finding peace in your own skin. This balance can

only be attained through meditation. The children shown here have

been finding peace and stability though the same.

The Tiny Little Hands

These tiny tots have tried their creativity in all the fields. Because,

creativity isn't about perfection, it's about experimenting, growing,

taking risks, breaking rules, making mistakes, and having fun.

CHEERS TO OUR LITTLE ARTISTS

As the world is stopped, children caged inside the homes, but the

creativity, the genius the artist inside them is still alive.

Here’s some glimpses of the online activities conducted during

pandemic…..

11 | P a g e

Games

Gaming, be that indoors or outdoors, helps in flexibility on mental and

physical level. It makes you active and energetic, helps in spreading

positive vibes, and is a stress buster too. This lockdown has enhanced

the indoor games, which had become just nostalgic memories in this rat

race of life. Glance these kids playing games.

Pandemonium of the pandemic

The roads are empty, the crowds too small, and no trace of life

outside, none at all. Every human is locked up in their house and the

sunny play ground now looks bleak. Why does our wide world look so

desolate now? What a silly 5!Even a toddler would have the answer

.cause, there's a monster out there, that can make even breathing like

hell. It is tinier than our cells, but it is causing a huge pandemic, if it
enters our body it may wreak havoc. Cough or sneezes are like its

private jet, and to our lungs, it's a threat. we, who would always chat

and dine in groups, now prefer to stay away, and with a mask on our

mouths,

Stay at home straight away. Nobody's going to school any more, no

child playing in the park, nobody's even opening the door, except for
grocery or stock. We used to giggle and play on our swings and slide,

now, we're caged in our homes, as corona gambols outside I used to

pity my dolls, trapped on the shelves, now, I really don't know why, as

to me , it's a privilege to even bask in sunlight these days. We, who are

social animals, now dread the door bell. Sadly, we are told to see, every
visitor as an unwelcome virus. When can we really be free ? When will

the day arrive? Come on, let us await for that day.

Cooking

Life without food is not at all imaginable. And if we talk about mouth

watering foods, they are more bliss. In this pandemic, the students

have tried filtering their talents of cooking too. Here's what they've

tried apart from the regular routine of studies.

MUSIC

"MUSIC IS THE LITREATURE OF THE HEART; IT COMMENCES

WHEN SPEECH ENDS."

-ALPHONE DE LAMARTINE

MUSIC IS SOMETHING WHICH CAN RARELY BE DEFINED BUT IT

IS EXPRESSED. BUT THE LINES SAID BY LAMARTINE MAKES IT

A BIT CLEAR.IT IS NOT NECESSARY THAT IF YOU WANT TO

UNDERSTAND MUSIC YOU NEED TO BE A PROFFESIONAL
MUSICIAN , I AM TALKING FROM THE PRESPECTIVE OF ONES

WHO JUST LOVE LISTENING MUSIC AND GETS INTO AN

UTOPIAN WORLD. THERE IS NO PARTICULAR MUSIC WHICH

TAKES YOU TO YOUR OWN WORLD IT'S UPTO YOU THAT FROM

WHICH MUSIC YOU FEEL CONNECTED.LISTENING MUSIC AT
REGULAR INTERVALS OR WHENEVER YOU WANT PEACE CAN HELP

OUR BODY IN MANY WAYS LIKE IT IMPROVES YOUR MOOD,

LESSENS THE ANXIETY,IMPROVES MEMORY, ETC. A SONG

CALLED 'WEIGHTLESS' BY MARCONI UNION RESULTED IN

STRIKING 65% REDUCTION IN PARTICIPANTS OVERALL
ANXIETY AND A 35% REDUCTION IN THEIR USUAL

PHYSIOLOGICAL RATES THERE ARE MORE SONGS IN THE

QUEUE'ELECTRA' BY AIRSTREAM,ETC.

'MUSIC CAN HELP TO HEAL' A STUDY FROM AUSTRIA'S

GENERAL HOSPITAL OF SALZBURG FOUND THAT PATIENTS

RECOVERING FROM BACK SURGERY HAD INCREASED RATES OF
HEALING AND REPORTED LESS PAIN WHEN MUSIC WAS

INCORPORATED IN STANDARD REHABILATION i.e. BRINGING

20 | P a g e

BACK TO A POSITIVE CONDITION.MOST OF US TRY TO FIND

OUR EMOTIONS IN MUSIC WHICH IS FULFILLED BY IT. THE

MOST APPROVING THING THE MUSIC DOES IS IT REDUCES
DEPRESSION ABOUT 350 MILLION PEOPLE SUFFER FROM

DEPRESSION ,RESEARCHERS HAVE FOUND THAT SYMPTOMS OF

DEPRESSION DECREASES LARGELY WITH THOSE WHO LISTENED

CLASSICAL MUSIC. SO IT IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED TO HAVE A

HABIT OF LISTENING MUSIC.

Everyday Mathematics

LIFE IS BIOLOGY, BIOLOGY IS PHYSIOLOGY

PHYSIOLOGY IS CHEMISTRY, CHEMSTRY IS PHYSICS,

PHYSICS IS NONE OTHER THAN MATHEMATICS.

We can conclude from the above statements that Mathematics is the

base of other subjects too; And “If THE BASE IS STRONG SO IS

THE FORMATION.” Therefore, it is necessary to have a basic

knowledge about it. It helps us to solve everyday problems in an easy

manner. Knowledge of Mathematics also keeps both sides of our mind
i.e. (MENTAL & REASONING) in a sound state. Practicing basic

Mathematics can provide us a successful and bright future.

22 | P a g e

th
Hence, I would like to suggest that up to class 10 Mathematics should
be practiced thoroughly.

IMPORTANCE OF COMPUTER EDUCATION

Computer education plays a significant role in student’s career and

learning! As we all are aware the COVID-19 chronology is going on and

the schools are directed to be remained closed by the end of the year.

So the schools have taken a very great step to provide online classes.

Now the education system is running digitally with the help of

computers and the internet and the hurdles like CORONA PANDEMIC
couldn’t stop us from learning as we all are advanced in technology.

The use of computers and the internet is gaining traction in the various
end-users segments such as educational institutes, healthcare, retail,

and government. The availability and growing adoption of the low priced

24 | P a g e

internet and portable smart devices have given an edge to the

companies in the delicate times and kept the economy and other

important things operational. This pandemic has fast-tracked; much
needed the digital transformation of the Indian education system.

This digital transformation will bring about creativity and innovation
among students and expected to give student opportunities to leverage

the technological platform to showcase their hidden skills. Students

are the future leader of the nation. So, for the development, it is

verily important to connect every village and city to the digital world

and help every citizen in contributing to the growth of India.
