Read the following text.
Maya’s cat was missing and she
started looking around the house for
it. She opened her closet and looked
inside but the cat was not there. She
went to the bedroom and crawled on
the floor to look under the bed. She
searched in the kitchen and bathroom
but found nothing. Since her cat could not be seen anywhere inside the house,
Maya decided to go outside to give it a try. Just as she was about to open the
door, the doorbell rang. It was her neighbour, Mrs. Mira. Mrs. Mira pointed
at the top of a nearby tree. “Look, Maya! Your cat is in the tree!” Mrs. Mira
began to describe how she found the cat. According to her, she was cleaning
the windows when she heard a noise coming from the tree in front of her
house. She looked up and saw the cat on one of the branches high above the
ground. Instead of ignoring the cat, Mrs. Mira decided to tell Maya. Thanks
to Mrs. Mira’s help, Maya was able to rescue it.
