Employee background information for legislative tribute The Impact Awards celebrate the economic and workforce development achievements happening in your community—but first, we need your help identifying the best examples of success. This year, we're asking each Michigan Works! Agency to submit only one nomination to serve as the best representation of success in your area. IF POSSIBLE, PLEASE INCLUDE ONE (1) EMPLOYER AND ONE (1) EMPLOYEE. Award winners receive a legislative tribute and a chance to talk about their success alongside their district legislator - who will be invited to the event. We WILL be asking for recorded remarks that will be played during the ceremony. Those will have to be scheduled. We also ask that the awardees be in-person to be recognized. NOMINATIONS DUE: February 6th, 2023 (via this online form only) Sharing the form? Use the PDF version found here (FOR VIEWING ONLY) FIVE EASY STEPS to prepare your nomination: 1. Identify your very best success story - ONLY ONE. Typically, it will include an employer hiring large numbers of people, a job seeker obtaining employment, or other local innovation. If possible, include an employer AND employee. (ex: if Michigan Works! helps an employer fill 200 jobs, we want to showcase a worker from among those hires). Other project partners may be included where applicable. 2. Obtain metrics and data. Lawmakers love to have real, eye-catching data and information about the specific growth happening in their districts. The goal is to show the legislators the positive impact that Michigan Works! system has on our communities each and every day. 3. Write the story in your favorite word processing software. Gather related information and prepare everything for submission. 4. Come back here and submit your nomination. Please note that once a nomination is started, it must be finished. Changes to this form cannot be saved. AWARD SELECTION Winners will be formally presented end of February, 2023.
