MICHIGAN WORKS! ASSOCIATION LOGO USAGE
Summary

 The logo must appear on all communication materials.
 Whenever possible, use the two-color version of the logo
 Never alter the logo from the versions shown in these branding guidelines
The Formal Wordmark (ie, logo) is the primary graphic tool to represent the Michigan
Works! Association identity.
It should be used in all cases except when it cannot be legibly reproduced.
Logo Sizing
The Formal Wordmark should not be sized smaller than 1.25 inches in width.
The width of the logo must always be at least 70 pixels for on-screen or 1” (25mm) for
print.
To ensure legibility, the logo should never be reduced to an unreadable size.
The logo should not be used less than 50px width for the web or 0.5" for print.
The colors used in the Formal Wordmark are PMS 200C. When PMS ink is not
available, you may use the designated CMYK or RGB color values
Logo Placement
When the Michigan Works! logo is utilized in conjunction another logo, the Michigan
Works! logo must be displayed first and more prominently than any other logo. The logo
should not be altered in any way.
Placing any element too close to the logo diminishes its importance.
Place the logo on the front cover of all printed promotional collateral materials in the
bottom right corner.
For agendas, the logo may be placed in the top center of the page.

MICHIGAN WORKS! LOGO USAGE
Color palette
PRIMARY COLORS
The Michigan Works! logo uses red and black. The official Michigan Works! red is
represented by the Pantone Matching System ink color 200 (PMS 200C).
When matching the official red, consider the medium. The same color formula can look
different on the web than it does printed on paper or rendered in fabric.
PMS ink color numbers translate into different formulas in different software. PMS 200C
translated into RGB or into a hex code (for web use) in Illustrator and in InDesign
provides a different formula than if it is translated in Photoshop.
To ensure the consistency of the color, type in the exact formula as appropriate to each
application:

PMS: 200
CMYK: C - 0, M - 100, Y - 65, K – 15 / RGB: R - 206, G - 17, B - 65
Web: CE1141

If a publication runs in two-color and a duotone is necessary, the logo cannot take on
the secondary color.
