猫须草 [1] ,原名:肾茶,学名:Clerodendranthus spicatus
(Thunb.)C. Y. Wu,又名猫须公、牙努秒。属管状花目,唇形科多年
生草本。茎直立,高 1-1.5m,叶卵形、菱状卵形或卵状长圆形,苞片圆
卵形,长约 3.5mm,宽约 3mm,花萼卵珠形,小坚果卵形,长约 2mm,宽
约 1.6mm,深褐色,具皱纹。花、果期 5-11 月。 猫须草清凉消
炎,可入药,主要用于治疗急慢性肾炎、膀胱炎、尿路结石和风湿性关
节炎。

aristatus is a plant species in the family of Lamiaceae / Labiatae. The
plant is a medicinal herb found mainly throughout southern China,
the Indian Subcontinent, South East Asia and
tropical Queensland.[1][2][3][4] It is known as kumis
kucing in Indonesia and misai kucing in Malaysia. In the US it may be
commonly known as cat's whiskers or Java tea.Orthosiphon aristatus is
used in landscaping to attract bees, butterflies and hummingbirds to its
nectar
For flushing bacterial and inflammatory diseases of the urinary
tract and renal gravel (Commission E) for flushing the urinary tract,
especially with inflammations and renal gravel, and support in
eliminating bacterial infections of the urinary tract (ESCOP).
The HMPC has classified Orthosiphon leaves as a traditional herbal
medicinal product (see traditional use).
