Levels of Organization

Molecule

A Molecule is one of the smallest things in the
universe. Molecules make up most things like
animals, objects, atmosphere, and just about
everything. Molecules make up elements,
which are made up of atoms, the smallest unit
of anything in the universe.

Examples:

Cell

Cells make up most living
things like animals, humans,
and plants. Cells reproduce to
make more healthy cells and
they keep your body full of
energy. They work together to
keep your body stable.

Examples:

Tissue

Tissue is a type of material in
plants or animals, which are made
of specific cells and what they
make. The four types of tissues are
called Nervous, Muscle, Epithelial,
and Connective. Each support a
part of the human or animal body.

Examples:

Organism

A Organism is a life form
comprised of cells. It can do the
basics of living things like move,
eat, reproduce, grow, react, and
maintain homeostasis. These
things can be plants, animals, and
us humans! These can be
unicellular, and multicellular
organisms.

Examples:

Population

The Population refers to a group of
animal species that breed and live in the
same place at the same time. The
Population interacts with its
environment and adapts.

Examples:

Community

A Community is made up of different
groups of organisms that coexist in the
same environment over a particular
period of time. Communities can be a
small size to a large size.

Examples:

Ecosystem

An Ecosystem refers to all biotic and
abiotic factors ( Organisms and their
Physical Environment) in an area. This
can include animals, plants,
microorganisms, soil, rocks, and water
sources.

Examples:

Biosphere

The Biosphere is where all living things
exist. This can include the land, the
ocean, and just about anywhere on the
planet.
