Senior students transitition

insert Anna Menzel
student
photo hi, my name is Anna. I will be helping with the year 7s as well as with the transitions from
year 6 to year7. The transition form primary to secondary school was one pf the hardest
part of going into a new school for me. Especially as Fortismere is so large. We as a team are
here to help and guide years 6s and 7s into this new school. We are here to make it as easy
as possible. A few things about me. I love musicals, you can come and talk to me about any
musical and even if I don’t know it I will be up for listing to what you have to say about it. I
love working with younger students. I love animals, having had a cat myself, I also love
music, I play the drums, a bit of trombone and sing. As well as this I love to write and make
up stories. I am an art student and I love art a lot. Writing and art are my escape.

My name is Lëa and I am part of the transitions leaders, supporting and guiding year
7s through theirs transitions into a new school. Our department also deals with year
9 GCSE options and making sure that students make good decisions for their future
exams. It’s important for students to do the subjects that they enjoy and are good at,
and also that new students starting at secondary school are comfortable in their
environment. I, as a leader, will attempt to help transitioning students be content and
comfortable, whatever the situation.

have a say in. I enjoy taking on leadership roles and I’m really looking forward to
being a part of the team. Outside of school I enjoy sport, I compete in both
running and swimming which I train for everyday. In school, the subjects I most
enjoy are English and art.
