Fawwaz, a young boy from a poor village without electricity, grows tired of the tradition of collecting dry tree branches for firewood. He dreams of changing his village’s fate and promises his childhood friend, Sufi, that he will find a way to end their suffering. Determined, he leaves for the city to study engineering, despite his mother’s concerns and his father’s stern challenge not to return unless he succeeds.
Ten years later, Fawwaz comes back, now an educated man with a vision to transform the village. He proposes building a hydroelectric dam to provide clean and sustainable energy. However, the village chief, Yen Lev, and many villagers resist his idea, believing their old ways are sufficient. Undeterred, Fawwaz passionately explains the science behind the dam, emphasizing its benefits for electricity, irrigation, and economic growth. Eventually, the villagers begin to support his plan.
