Tangled

Brittany Landes

I sat on my windowsill, waiting for mother to return. I sat there

observing my surrounding. I watched the pliantbranches of a tree swaying
in the wind, the inanimaterocks surrounding the river.

I then spotted something moving out of the corner of my eye. There
was a figure sliding down a precipice. I quickly climbed off the windowsill
and kneeled beside it, still peering down at the unknown individual. As the
individual approached the tower, I figured out it was a male, and he was
carrying a bag. I watched as he looked around frantically, most likely trying
to find accessto the inside of the tower. I quickly abscondedinto my
kitchen and grabbed the first thing I could find, which happened to be a
frying pan. I heard something against the wall of my tower. I then figured
out he was climbing up to get to my window. I knew I had to be intrepidin
order to get out of this situation. I quickly ran and stood beside my window
and waited, and as he made his way through my window, I wasted no time
and hit him in the back of the head with my frying pan. Once he was
knocked out, I placed him in a chair and tied him up with my 70 feet of hair
and began looking through his bag. I discovered a crown inside and I believe
he had stolen it. I hid the bag and waited for him to wake up.

Once he woke up, I was still in hiding when I began asking him
questions. He began to revile me and attempt to disentangle himself. He
failed to daunt me. “Are you responsible for larceny?” I asked him. He
looked at me confused and then quickly looked around trying to find his
bag. “Oh, and don’t bother looking for your bag. I’ve hidden it, and will
incinerate it if you don’t cooperate.”

“Okay, fine. The kingdom I live in is in a state of anarchy. My plan was
to steal the princess’ crown and sail off to another kingdom, where I would
sell it and start a new life. I haven’t been too auspicious today,” He then
became uncooperative. “This whole situation is biased,” he stated.

I decided to try and rectifythe situation. “If I untie you from this
chair, will you promise to not run off?” I asked. He nodded his head and I
began to untangle him from my hair, which was very arduous. As I began to
untie his hand, I looked at him and realized he was looking around for his
bag.

“You’re not going to find your bag,” I told him. He just rolled his eyes
as I continued to untie him. When I finished, he jumped up so fast, I nearly
fell to the ground. he began looking through everything in my room. I

realized I had just been hoodwinked. While he was throwing things around
and searching, he accidently threw a book towards me. I was reprieved
when it didn’t hit me.

“Hey!” I yelled. He turned to me with wide eyes. “I don’t even know
your name.”

“It’s Flynn. Flynn Rider.” he then smiled at me. I have just met the guy
and I already know that he’s pompous.

As if it were fate, I hear my mother calling,” Rapunzel, let down your
hair.”

I then pushed Flynn into my bathroom and threw my hair down for my
mother. Once I got her into my room, she headed downstairs to cook
dinner. I then grabbed Flynn’s bag, threw it in his arms, and shoved him
towards the window and forced him out. He climbed down safely and ran
off, and that’s the last time I saw Flynn Rider.
