7 Find: • a parrot • a frog Can you see the leopard? • a lizard He’s waking up, too. Oh no! The leopard is hungry.
8 The leopard wants his breakfast. His favourite breakfast is monkeys. The monkeys are in the trees. They are afraid. How many monkeys are there?
9 There’s a well in the jungle. Look out, Leopard! Oh no! The leopard is in the well.
10 The monkeys aren’t afraid now.
11 Three monkeys are next to the well. They can hear the leopard. Where is the leopard now? Point.
12 The old monkey is on the well. He can see the leopard. The leopard doesn’t like the well.
13 ‘You aren’t my friend. You want me for breakfast,’ says the old monkey. What do you like for breakfast? Tell a friend.
14 ‘Let’s go,’ says the old monkey. ‘Goodbye, Leopard.’ The monkeys go. But the baby monkey wants to help the leopard. Mime. The baby monkey is happy. The baby monkey is sad.

16 The baby monkey has got a rope. With the rope, the leopard can climb out of the well. The leopard is happy.

20 ‘What’s the problem?’ says the tortoise. ‘I’m the leopard’s friend,’ says the monkey. ‘First I help him with my rope. But now he wants me for breakfast!’
21 ‘Ha ha ha! You’re funny,’ says the tortoise. ‘A baby monkey can’t pull a big leopard out of a well.’ Mime: • the leopard • the monkey • the tortoise
22 ‘I can pull a leopard out of a well,’ says the monkey. ‘I’m strong.’ ‘And I can climb a rope,’ says the leopard. ‘I like climbing.’ What do you like doing?
23 ‘Ha ha ha!,’ says the tortoise. ‘You two are very funny.’ ‘Come on, Leopard!’ says the monkey. ‘Let’s show the tortoise.’
24 Now the leopard is in the well again. And the monkey and the tortoise are happy.
25 And what about the leopard? He is in the well to this day. So when you’re in the jungle and you see a well, be very careful! Where is the leopard now?
