SMITH GILBERT GARDENS/OLD TOWNE TAVERN GRILLE
Join us on a tour to the Smith Gilbert Gardens and you will see some of their 3,000+ species of plants, learn about the history of the
Hiram Butler House (ca. 1881) and view the 31 pieces of contemporary sculpture thoughtfully placed in the garden. Don’t forget to
see the rose garden, conifer garden, vegetable garden and bonsai display and you will see why our Garden is considered a must see
destination. After our tour, we will eat lunch at Old Towne Tavern Grille! Cost includes transportation, admission, tour, and lunch.

FUNK HERITAGE CENTER/SIDELINES GRILL
The Funk Heritage Center is located on the Reinhardt University campus in Waleska. We are going to have a guided tour at the
Bennett History Museum and Appalachian Settlement. The Bennett History Museum is a longhouse inspired by Native American
architecture. We will also see an award winning film about the Southeastern Indians and visit the Hall of the Ancients, which depicts
12,000 years of Native American life through artifacts and interactive programs. The Trail of Tears is shown in a 4 minute film and
maps and on display is The Rogers Contemporary Native American Art Gallery, an extensive collection of contemporary Native
American artwork, including paintings, baskets, sculpture, and pottery. After we tour, we will head back to Canton to eat at Sidelines
Grill. Cost includes transportation, admission, tour, and lunch. *Walking on this tour*
