| J H S 2 2 6 ’ s S t u d e n t s S t o r i e s LENIX LAKE By: Daniel Ajinegara Suoth Class: 7.5 One day on a summer break, my family and went to Cleveland, a city on Ethiopia. We went there by flying on a big dragonfly. We stayed in the town for 5 days, then we began our adventure to explore Ethiopia. We heard a myth about a lake called “Lenix Lake''. It was said that if you managed to reach it and drank its water, you would get a superpower, such as powerful punch, superhuman strength, and flying ability. So the adventure began, and we went to some local village to ask for information about the lake, such as its location or how to get there. After we went to 2 local villages, on the journey to the third village, we came

| J H S 2 2 6 ’ s S t u d e n t s S t o r i e s across a lake, and we decided to stay there and took a rest for lunch. After lunch my brother, Mike, and I were so bored and we decided to take a bath and dove into the lake. We had a lot of fun. After diving in the lake, little that we knew, we have been teleported to another realm. We went out of the lake and were stunned. I realized that we were not in Ethiopia anymore. “Where are we?” Mike asked, “I don’t know, we better stick together so you won’t get lost” I replied. After that incident, we went exploring the new realm, we saw a huge colony of orcs that were prepared to fight. We were chased by some orcs, so we ran to a nearby lake. On the lake, we saw a colony of elves. They saved us, and we went to that elf village. They were so nice to us, we explored the village and realized that the lake we ran into was the Lenix Lake. The elf’s duty was protecting the

| J H S 2 2 6 ’ s S t u d e n t s S t o r i e s Lenix Lake and using its water for good. Then we met the Elf Queen, and we told Her that the orcs were coming here. “My Majesty, I want to warn you about the orcs, on our way here, we saw a huge colony of them, and they’re ready to attack us” I said, The Elf Queen responds, “Okay thank you for your information, now, we must get ready for the fight, prepare all of our army units”. “Yes Ma'am” Her guard responded. So, they prepared the army of elves, only a few moments after they prepared the army, the orcs attacked us. The elf said that Mike and I should get ready too. They told us to drink the water from Lenix Lake to get superpower so that we could take part in this war, and so we did. We went to the lake and drank the water from the Lenix Lake. We got superpowers and helped elves fight back those orcs. There were too many orcs, so some got

| J H S 2 2 6 ’ s S t u d e n t s S t o r i e s really close to the Lake. That was when the Orc King came and broke through the shield and got to the lake. He almost drank the water, but the Elf Queen stopped him and fights him. I helped the Queen with my super punches, superhuman strength and stamina. We managed to defeat the orcs and their king. And so, the elf village was safe from the orcs. The Queen asked me to promise that I should use the power for goodness’ sake, “I will let you have your power, use it for goodness, do you promise?”. “Yes, I do.” I said. She let me to have my power. “Thank you for your contribution to the war, we will always remember you as a Hero.” The Queen said. “Thank you guys, see you next time!” Mike and I said so, the Queen Elf sent us back to Ethiopia. We met our family and told them what had happened. We went back to Cleveland and flew back with

| J H S 2 2 6 ’ s S t u d e n t s S t o r i e s the big dragonfly and with that the summer break ended. I went back to school and I told them about my crazy adventure. Moral Value: We have to be brave for challenges

| J H S 2 2 6 ’ s S t u d e n t s S t o r i e s FORTUNE OR CHANCE By: Emmanuella Michelle Kurima Kala'Linggi Class: 7.5 In 2101, June 13th on Friday, an astronaut called Winste Harley, began his journey from a space station to an actual space. He is currently on another planet besides Earth, Mars. When he arrived there, he was in a very bad condition. His ears rang, his legs and arms had cramped, and a bit hard to breathe. It was all because this was the first time he went to another planet with his mates, Janne Cayden, Elline Johnston, and Dhaure De Mourne, for some research about aliens and improvements in technology to upgrade further. Within 2 years of travel time from Earth to Mars and a couple of weeks after landing on Mars, they had hundreds of massive signs about progress in foods, technologies, systems, materials, health, safety, and a lot more. They made huge progress for humanity to live. For quite a while, they have been searching and making hundreds of new creations with

| J H S 2 2 6 ’ s S t u d e n t s S t o r i e s creativity. They had a brilliant experience as the first group to land and live for a long time on Mars with full-bagged luck. Their family and friends were full of happiness and pride in them, they were still waiting for them to come back patiently. Now, they made a space station on Mars and built houses for humans to feel the living on Mars experience. They planted trees for oxygens, and they thought it was the end of it. All of us, humanity, have two planets to live on, and we do not need any planet left to explore. But Winste, Janne, Elline, and Dhaure, the famous astronauts who made the entire living creatures living on Mars possible, said “We’re an explorer, an astronaut until the last breath of us, that’s going to be the end of our historical journey “. Well, they did exploration on other planets such as Jupiter, Saturn, and even Uranus! They spent years getting there and it paid. Humanity currently has 5 planets to live on.

| J H S 2 2 6 ’ s S t u d e n t s S t o r i e s What a fortune! After thousands of news about them exploring planets and making a whole new humanity, they ended up traveling to Neptune. They were almost there, but suddenly something untraceable happened and it was a technical difficulty. We couldn’t tell what happened to them directly, but the rocket exploded just a day before it landed on Neptune. People said it was a waste of years. Technically it was, but at least we do know what can 4 people do to humanity, don’t we? All of us were sad because our legend isn’t here anymore. They gave so many new things to millions of living creatures. We appreciate, respect, and thank them very well. Without them, what can we do? We have a whole new world, living fantasies, and new breeds of animals that create another wonderful thing. We don’t know what’s going to happen in the future, all we can do is to find another born new legend or the reincarnation of our legends who can be like Winste Harley, Janne Cayden, Elline Johnston, and Dhaure De Mourne. Who do you think will it be? And, do you think they can do such a

| J H S 2 2 6 ’ s S t u d e n t s S t o r i e s thing just because of the fortunes they had? Or because of the chance they took? Moral Value: You can reach anything without your luck but with your chance or opportunity that you take

| J H S 2 2 6 ’ s S t u d e n t s S t o r i e s DILEMMA OF LOVE By: Artha Natio Leibniz Situmorang Class: 7.5 Part 1 “This Love” I was just an ordinary teenage girl that never like someone this deep. I mean, all the things that I know and focus on only study, back my parents were strict parents. But when I join high school of course a lot of things change, but this is different. This is not just a change, this is the first time I felt love! It's just the first time walking in the school hall, and accidentally making eye contact with that one person, some magic was just like going through my body and boom! I already recognized him. So this was where we started the chapter of life love. I don't know anything about love, because when everybody already wrote their page of love, I didn't even prepare my paper. But this glance was telling a thousand things about what love is. I started to search for his name with my bestie for sure, and then I found out he was one grade above me

| J H S 2 2 6 ’ s S t u d e n t s S t o r i e s and yeah I was speechless. So because I'm an introvert but my bestie is a crazy extrovert, yeah she was asking casually for his number. I was a dead fish hiding in the hall pillar watching her asking for his number. Then she came back to me and hell she got it, and rushed me to chat with him right now. But of course we hid first in a safe place. Then I started a hello chat for that day. The next day, he texted me first! And then we casually talked and I was over the moon. He asked for my instagram account and I just rushed to type my username to him and we're mutual on instagram. My stomach couldn't stop the butterflies inside. This cheek too, why it couldn't stop smiling, hufft. So even in my sleep I only thought about him. 24/7 was only about him. At this point, I didn't care when people said it was too much to overthink just because of love. But I didn't think it's too much, because when you started to like someone and there's a love blooming, Was it so simple for those people? You started to think and even overthink about every single thing you said

| J H S 2 2 6 ’ s S t u d e n t s S t o r i e s to him and what he said to you. Everything just felt like a definitely different language that sometimes you couldn't even understand! So every morning, I would sit in the literacy room watching him with his friends, and sometimes looked at me and blush. ARRGH why I'm smiling again huh? Even his friend started to tease him when I was around him, I was so embarrassed! Then, he started to always come to the eighth grade floor and stand in front of my class talking with my boy best friends and sometimes he tilted his head and took a look at me. Duh, this was so awkward but honestly made me always smile. I didn't want this to change. Part 2 “The Pick Me Between Me and Him” So, pick me is a teenage real life drama that at least every teenager had to feel this. It's sort of like you really want to be picked by the boy, you had a crush on, so you put down another girl that may have a better potential for the boy to like

| J H S 2 2 6 ’ s S t u d e n t s S t o r i e s her, so yeah it ass like that, a pick me girl. This never failed to drive me to the climax of this craziness race. My best friend of course chated to him too and they talked a lot about me, and the wow thing he asked so much about me. He said somethings cute about me hshsh. This was just so embarrassing. Ok that's the good part, the bad part was, my best friend's friend opened her phone, then found this chat. And I figured it out she's crushing on him too. So basically she copied his number from my best friend's phone, then unexpectedly, she chatted with him from my bestie's phone and said that I talked bad about him and deleted it so my bestie couln't see it but the person she chatted with still could see it. So my crush chated me and said "If you don't really like me, at least say it to me, I thought we are best friends and can be more than that, but guess what, lies will always be uncovered." At that time I was crying as I could, I was crying like it's the end of the world on my best friend's shoulder and asking her what was going on. Then she asked him to copy the message, and it

| J H S 2 2 6 ’ s S t u d e n t s S t o r i e s was a really mean confession and my bestie didn't know anything about it. Of course I trusted her, she wouldl never do that. Well we found out who that person was. This pick me girl really ruined my life. She was my junior, one grade below me. That time the only thing I wanted to do was pull her hair so hard so she could feel this pain bleeding in my heart. Because of her, my crush blocked me and unfollowed me and removed me from his followers too. I couldn't blame him, if I was him I would be disappointed and crying too. So it meant my love I was already destroyed because this pick me girl that tried too hard to be picked. I always cried and cried every night before sleep, prayed to God to bless me and asked Him, “Why everything need to end up like this?” I just couldn't stop my tears all night, wondering when this wound stop ghosts around my life. I just wanted to remove my feelings for him, because I couldn't again love someone that maked me depressed every night, every day, every time that could ever exist. I wanted my normal life back

| J H S 2 2 6 ’ s S t u d e n t s S t o r i e s again. Why was there always a mean person that destroyed someone's life, who turned your life upside down without even thinking about the person she would affect? So toxic, trying so hard to be picked, thinking she deserved all the things she wanted. End up my story with a scratch from a hard worker pick me girl. Part 3 “Is This Feel End?” Well guess I could move on now, cheers? I couldn remove all my feelings from him even though there's still something prop in my heart. Now I was not crying again just because of those toxic love things. I was happy for it and thankful to God, because if I remembered all of the wound back, it's too toxic and hurting. Now I was brighter, got a lot of new friends, but still keep my relationship with my best friend. Then I scrolled through my gallery, and found all of those happy and lovely feelings and moments before it was destroyed. I was crying, but now it's a happy tear, remembering all of the moments of fun I had with him, looking through the

| J H S 2 2 6 ’ s S t u d e n t s S t o r i e s handsome guy I used to like before, and could't stop my tears. And my Spotify playlists played a song called "Slipping Through My Finger" by ABBA. This song made my tear came harder and harder, the really painful lyrics that relate to me is "What happened to the wonderful adventures, The places I had planned for us to go?" and "sometimes I wish that I could freeze the picture." I'm crying hard because of this. ARRGGHH, this feels again, my head was spinning again, my eyes couldn't stop it tears again. Crying. Some love stories said that love is crazy, but it's the sweetest thing that you may feel. But, you know what, I only feel the crazy part! Well, yes I experienced that sweet moment though, when he had a charm out of this world, I started to make the biggest red smile ever. I dared to talk with you and shown some of the love signs, well I really didn't expect that you loved me back. But the other part of this dilemma was make me depressed. Now in school, you were more popular and alot of people liked you, with it, “Do you still remember me? Who

| J H S 2 2 6 ’ s S t u d e n t s S t o r i e s loved you for years and we made a distance because of that conflict? Well can't blame you, but I just want the old us back again. I want us to become best friend again, and more like you said? I just don't want this distance to keep growing, I want to chat again please? Why do you follow me back again? I'm confused, all of that clue just makes me lost. Lot of people confess to you, but you refuse it, is it because of me? “ I'm really lost in this woods, I didn't have a light to direct me to the answer. “Do you still have those feelings towards me? Because I still am. I just want you to know that I'm still here waiting for us to talk back again, I just want all of those misunderstood don't break us anymore. I'm still waiting for you, until we separate and can't meet each other again.” Now, far away friends were what we call now. The situation could not be saved I guess. But it's okay, I accepted it, a friend was okay too for me, no need to be a best friend and more again right? But aslong as we still could talk once a week,

| J H S 2 2 6 ’ s S t u d e n t s S t o r i e s I was fine. Thank you for giving me a chance again, “I still love you but I guess in another different way. Guess you too, but I hope we still can be friends until we separate by time.” Moral Value: It's okay to fall in love with somebody, it's a human normal thing. But please, don't be a toxic person, never crush someone and you put down another person that is in love with the person you liked too. If you want to do something like that, think twice, think about the effect that you will give to the person you are putting down. Is it fun to make people cry and then they start getting hate because of the toxic fake rumor that we spread about them? If you love, then loving, enough. Don't put down another person, don't be a witch that everybody is scared of, be an evil that everybody hates. But everything back again to ourselves, want to change to be a better person? It's our own life decision, all I can do is just tell what I felt being put down by that one person, so you will not do it to the other, because the feeling is just too painful and the only thing you can do about it is crying. Keep positive, okay?

| J H S 2 2 6 ’ s S t u d e n t s S t o r i e s IN A MINIMARKET By: Fitra Hayati My three sons and I went a well known minimarket in South Jakarta in 2009. My first son was 9 years old, my second son is 5 years old, and the third one is about 11 month. I went to that market by wearing a very simple log dress, and so did my three sons. We just put on a very simple sandals. My two son were walking on my left and right side, while my third son was carrying on me by using a very shabby batik fabric. We went around that market. My three sons were very happy. They took food that they liked and put in the basket that I brought. I looked for milk for my third son. He drank a certain brand of milk. I could not find it. Then I asked to the shop keeper. “Where can I find the milk.” I said the brand of the milk. It was quite expensive. He looked me a while and he didn’t care of me. And I asked him one more time ”Find on the shelf.” He said unpolitely. I tried to go around but I could not find that milk in 900 gram.

| J H S 2 2 6 ’ s S t u d e n t s S t o r i e s After finishing, we went to cashier. “Miss, Can you help me I want CK milk in 900 gram, would you please help me. She looked me but she didn’t answer my question. In the same timeThe was a foreigner ask something to same cashier. She just sorry. She didn’t understand what she asked her about. Fortunately I understood what the foreigner wanted and I help her. She was very happy. She said thank and she stroking my three son’s hair. “Thank you, for your help. I was very nice to meet you.” You are welcome, ice to meet you too.” She paid what she bought and she went out of that mini market. The cashier came to me, What kind of milk do you look for. “ “No thank,” I paid food that my two sons bought Moral Value: Don’t judge the book by its cover
