INTRODUCTION

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic outbreak,
the English Week programme has to be
carried out virtually based on trainee
teachers' capability to access, reach and
communicate through WhatsApp,
Google Meet, and other online platforms
such as Kahoot, skribll.io, and
lyricstraining.com.

English language is vital for trainee
teachers to grasp as it improves cognitive
abilities, as well as encouraging new ways
of thinking and perceiving the world.

As future generalist teachers, being
proficient in the English language is
always an added bonus.

OBJECTIVES

The objectives of the Virtual English Week
programme are:

To boost confidence and promote the
use of the English language among
trainee teachers
To enhance the English language
proficiency among trainee teachers
To cultivate interest in activities related
to the English language
To assist the junior trainee teachers in
filling in their leisure time with creative
and beneficial activities
