A Message from the Publisher

This is the 28th annual edition of the “Guide to Medical Services for Indian River
County.”

The Guide has been updated to reflect the changes that have taken place in the past
year. See the Table of Contents on the next page, for a review of contents.

The directory contains a list of every physician located and practicing in Indian
River County, by specialty. “Physicians” are defined as Medical Doctors, (M.D.s),
Doctors of Osteopathy (D.O.s), or Doctors of Podiatric Medicine (D.P.M.s)

The names of those physicians choosing to include their biographies in the Medical
Specialty Section have an asterisk after their name. Biographies start on page 92.

To find a physician listing in the Medical Specialty Section, if you are not sure of the
specialty, find his/her name in the Telephone Directory and note the page reference
in parenthesis.

Our advertisers have made this guide possible. They are listed in bold type in the
Telephone Directory Section with a page reference to their ad. We are most appreciative
of their support.

Please Note: As this directory includes information available through the fall of
2019, it may contain omissions or errors. Please notify the publisher of any errors
or changes you may discover. The publisher expressly disclaims any liability for loss
or damage that may result from errors contained herein.

All phone numbers in this directory are in area code 772 unless otherwise noted.

Critical /Intensive Care Medicine

A branch of medicine concerned with the diagnosis and management of
life-threatening conditions that may require sophisticated organ support and
invasive monitoring.

Patients requiring intensive care may require support for instability (hyper-
tension/hypotension), airway or respiratory compromise (such as ventilator
support), acute renal failure, potentially lethal cardiac arrhythmias, or the
cumulative effects of multiple organ failure, more commonly referred to now
as multiple organ dysfunction syndrome. They may also be admitted for
intensive/invasive monitoring, such as the crucial hours after major surgery
when deemed too unstable to transfer to a less intensively monitored unit.

Neurology - Interventional

Interventional neurology is a treatment approach for conditions of the
brain, neck and spine. Neurointerventional procedures use imaging tech-
nology and are minimally invasive, meaning they can be accomplished
through small incisions, rather than open surgery. Strokes, aneurysms and
spinal compression fractures are some of the most common conditions an
interventional neurologist will treat.

are in need of acute hospital care, Sebastian River provides state-of-the-
art technology, as well as comprehensive emergency services and award-

A leader in health care, Sebastian River Medical Center provides
exceptional quality and compassionate care to every patient and family.
SRMC offers an array of services including a Bariatric Surgery Center

The facility also offers inpatient medical/surgical services, a cardiac
catheterization program that includes implant devices, neurosurgery

Furthermore, SRMC’s Emergency Room is proud of its ability to see patients
within minutes of arrival by an ER staff member and/or a physician.

More recently, SRMC construction adds 90,000-square-feet to its campus
footprint, which include seven new operating rooms, two endoscopy rooms,
a bronchoscopy suite, and 48 private patient rooms. The $60-million
expansion project provides even greater access for patients in a state-of-
the-art, safe and comfortable environment.

Along with investing in its footprint, Sebastian River has also added
new medical and surgical equipment, a new integrated medical records
system, and it has received awards and distinctions for services including
