TESL 1

When the Sun Awake

by Ainin Sofiya

I wake up from my dreams,
Putting aside the thick white comforter,
Feeling the sudden coldness of the breeze.

From the third floor of the apartment,

Where my family and I stay in,
I push the sliding door open,
And now I am on the balcony,
Coldest fresh air hits me.

I look up in astonishment,
Because rarely I see,

The sky painted itself purple and orange,
I turn my sights to the beach,
A mesmerizing view greets me.

Even from afar,

I hear the musical notes of the sea,
I feel the calmness of the waves,
I found peace in serenity.

Won't let this moment slip by,
I sit still,

Capturing the beauty with my eyes,
Silently admiring the God's masterpiece.

TESL 2

Sound of nature

The moon lies fair in the beauty of the night,
All bright in the glittering smokeless air,

The sea remains calm in the sweet night air,
A place where we could sit and think,
Listen to the wonders of nature,
With the whisper of the sweet breeze,

A pleasant and soothing melody of nature,
Fluttering and dancing in the breeze,
Whispering the awe and stories to us,
A lovely endless tales to listen and feel,

Lying close and giving ears to the wonders,
Let the rhythm of nature singing in the ear,

Filling our hearts with pleasure and bliss.

Wildflower she is,
Grew on the green grass near the stream,
Looking for a spot but never to be seen,
Because standing in the garden rather beautifully,
the roses that they called queen

Wildflower she is, by:
Unwanted and unseen, Aqilah
Her windy dance never seemed grace,
Her frailty petals never shone brave, Hanim
“She is wild, remember?” tesl3
That is what the others say

Wildflower she is,
The least welcomed flower after all,
But what others tend to ignore,
She is a flower,
and they bloom when the time soar

Became the beautiful flower she is,
Blooming as bright as the moon,
as glorious as the sun,
Because she believes,
Every flower blooms where it sowed,
Every flower stands where it stalled,
Now the once petty wildflower changed because she believed.

I was made with love to thrive within my flaw
My imperfections were made for creation
For creation is what I foresee

and these men and women are mine to protect

I gave them liberties and I gave them freedom
Yet why can't they seem to share my cradle
Each day I spent, I hear their fiddle

and day by day I stay to see they fought with their foes

Foes of themselves, a mirror of their own
Yet they seek more, beyond what is sown
For I am merely but a home, a lifeless confinement

For them to dig and for them to crack

I tell him no so that I will hold
But one day they will know, that I can be bold
Each step they took for the holes they made

Will brought them closer but afar they be

They know that I am down
Yet They don't seem to frown

At the truth of my gown
Since It is worn, yet warm

It would not be long before I taste my own

For I am but with billions drained
When will they see the things that they seek?

That I don't know but I can be sure

The end of my throne
Will mark their own
Until then I shall keep them own
For each they don

Dandelions

BY: DANIEAL HAKIM BIN MOHD NIZAM

Dandelions,
Where hopes are wished for,
Where dreams are cast upon,
Bring the smiles and happiness,

Even the dreams are nonsense,
It brings light to the world,
Where darkness in the corner,
Waiting to consume the heart,

Dandelions,
Bring dreams to the sky,
Touch the cloud and beyond,
Bring hopes to wasteland,

Even the hopes are fragile,
Still can be soil and water,
Eden can grow from it,
The limitless of possibilities,

Dandelions,
Grow delicate but strong,
Like a messenger to God,
Walk across land and bring prosper,

Dandelions,
Oh, majestic dandelions,
Hope and dream in your hand,
Bring it to reality,

MOON & STAR

Moon,
Your smile, your laugh
Become the light in my life,
Without you, every night seems endless,
Without you, the darkness seems meaningless

Star,
Your word, your tear
Become the hope illuminating my journey
Without you, every night seems boundless
Without you, the darkness become restless
Mama and Papa,
My moon and My star,
My half heart and my half soul,
For you I give my gratitude,
With you no thought of solitude,
Only you, my etenal love

Dawns appear,
Themselves are awakened..
Crowing is inevitable,
Rooster is the name given.

The wind plays the harp,
And the birds take the tune.
The bass part is sung
By the man on the moon!

Each one knows their part
To the very last letter!
And even our radio
Doesn't sound any better

Healing

Whenever your heart is hurting,
Whenever your soul needs healing,
Whenever something feels wrong,
Whenever you need a place to belong,

Come home to the nature,

Where the breeze is mellow,
Where the birds sitting in their nest,
Where you feel time goes slow,
Where your thoughts find rest.

STELLAR

I was waiting for the star,
opening my window from afar,
wishing to see the shining star,
how beautiful it is compared to the tar.

FLOWER

by Aisyah Roslan

A flower by the meadow,
Some tulips and primrose,
And tulips by the window,
Bougainvillea and some roses.

B ut my favourite of them all,

Was the golden sunflower.
T here is stood, alone and tall,

No one left much prettier.

It was the most attractive,
I t is down when insects are active.

Stars

As the murk penetrate my nights,
I embrace the void,

As the lonely breeze serenades,
I miss your smile.

I shriek to my confidant- the stars,
For they know my fondness and care,

If only the stars could speak,
They will be crying out your name.

Out of all the stars in my heart,
There’s one star that shines painfully,
If you could hear the star talk,

If only.

SEA OF HEART

She sits by the sea
wishing no one going to trace

The waves she sees
but h2e. r mind was on the space.

The clouds started crying
but there she stays still
when the sky keeps on pouring

yet not a bit she feels.

Enamorado

BY FATIN AISYAH

Enamorado,
The soft wind blows
And I look up to the sky,

I wonder
How every time
I feel the wind,

I know,
Someone is calling for me,

And even I am far,
Far away,
We still live

under the same sky.

A girl who loves

the BEACH

She goes to the beach
Where the sand is prettier
And the waves are splashing
Waving at her.

She goes to the beach
A place where she calls as 'home'
No words can describe
Her happiness as she walks along the beach.

By Anis Suffia

BEE

Flying around the goddess's garden
where Aphrodite showered her creations with love

enamored by her grace
among the sea of flowers

Covered in sweet pollen
with kaleidoscope wings like glass
dancing from flower to flower
and never thinking twice about my purpose

maybe there's more to life
than working myself to death
for a love that is never requited
and betrayal from the greediest creature - human

My chivalry is exploited
that I labored hard to store it well
with the sweet food I make
for the sake of my precious colony

silly to think that there is a purpose
more important than being the giver

the creator, the God
of all things

It's tough to be a BEE

FAJARILLAH TAJUDIN

Chirp, chirp, chirp
Oh, it sounds so amazing.
She open her eyes,
As soon as she listens to the birds sing.

She wakes up,
Looking through the windows,
Enjoying the perfect morning vista,

The birds fly freely.

She sit by the window,
The sky is blue and clear,
The sunlight slaps her round face,

I love this moment.

Even though you are not here,
I know i am not alone,

Nevertheless, I have myself,
And the sun inspires me to be alone,

Living my life without you.

Seashell

I am a seashell,
so tough and strong,
no one can break me.

I am a seashell,
as fair as porcelain,

so plain.
I am a seashell,
sometimes collected by the child,
decorating their sandcastle.
Be like a seashell,
Be strong, be pretty,
Be whatever you can be,
Some people may cannot see,
but the right one knows
that you are worthy.

SILLY MR. MOON

BY MUHAINI

Every night Mr. Moon comes out
to collect the stars that he dropped
in the black sea above.
Oh poor stars separated from one another!
Oh silly Mr. Moon does it again!
Brilliant light shone by Mr. Moon
so he can guide every scattered stars back to him.
I would help him count the stars.
A lullaby we sang;
One, two, three stars come home.
One, two, three stars come home.
Even if I fell asleep, Mr. Moon would continue.
I know because whenever Mr. Sun comes out,
all the stars are not in the sky anymore.
Back home they are.
Oh silly Mr. Moon!
I hope he won't drop the stars again tomorrow!

Creation

by Humairah Ukasha

It occurred to me last night that I had a dream,
I didn't sleep, although I did close my eyes, and,
expressing my gratitude to God for the wonderful life He

has given us,
wind and breeze incredibly refreshing,
it touches on my cheerful demeanour.

Wind elevated my curiosity,
up into the summit of the tree,

place I used to dance,
striking time with the evergreen heartbeat,
really is a magnificent sight, found in nature

HAPPY

The best philosophy in life is to
be happy!

Sounds from birds can make
you happy.

Smells from flowers can make
you happy.

Tastes from fruits can make
you happy.

So why are you wasting time
having sad life,

when nature is here to make
you happy!

Eruption, destruction, devastation.
Standing tall within the mountains on the earth,

Calm, serene and breathless,
But everyone knows for sure,
How catastrophic the damage would be,
Once the anger could no longer be withheld,
Explodes with ultimate rage,
Eruption, destruction, devastation.

LITTLE STARS

BY: NINUR FATIHAH ADILLAH

LITTLE STARS LISTEN CLOSELY,
THE TALES OF HEART OFTEN UNSPOKEN,
WHAT IF I TELL YOU?
HIDDEN BETWEEN BROKEN CREAKS,
LIES A COLD, DULL FIRE,
SHATTERED DREAMS AND UNANSWERED LOVE STEALING ITS’
WARMTH,
BUT IT STILL THERE WAITING TIRELESSLY WITH A FRIEND CALLED
TIME,
FOR THE DAY TO BE IGNITE; FEROCIOUSLY,
YEARNING AND SCREAMING; IN FEAR,
BEGGING FOR COURAGE.

NOW, STAND TALL WITH ALL YOUR TROUBLES AND TEARS,
GUARD YOUR FRAGILE HEART BETWEEN CONCRETE GRIP,
FEED YOUR SHATTERED SOUL FULL AND GATHERED WHATS’ LEFT
OF IT,
CAUSE TODAY SHOULD BE THE TIME,
FOR YOU TO FINALLY LISTEN,
AND ANSWER TO THE PLACE WE BELONG,
TO THE FIRE WITHIN US.

Not gonna lie,
Upon the embracing stars
Recklessly I'm withering, crudely blowing
Lingering on the past memories, not
knowing
I cant trust your species anymore - by
human madness
Earth gonna crumbling expeditiously
Soon you will witness
Abjectly you will live, in the future

River Flows,
2021

Like the rotation of life;
Sometimes fast, sometimes slow.

Like the sound of music;
Sometimes fast, sometimes slow.

Like the breeze of the wind;
Sometimes fast, sometimes slow.

As fast as the river flows;
As slow as the river flows.

THE SUN AND
THE MOON

I wonder ,

How much pain did the sorrow Sun endure to meet
his exquisite Moon;

apparently not because he knew she was there only
when he's asleep,

instead posthumous cold breeze the Moon left
behind, slowly fades away everytime he wakes up;

did struck the deepest scar.

6 new messages

if i were asked the things i'm afraid of,
i'll play it safe and say it's the dark.
or maybe i'll say it's the tides,
so high they might swallow me.
or maybe i'll say it's the trees,
so tall they might befall me.
or maybe i'll say it's the wind,
so fast they might rattle me.
i'll hide my fears,
and shove them to the back of my mind.
cause i fear
if i let them known,
they might just come true.

Lies varying from
deceptions,
fabrications, broken
promises and white
lies,
It could affect one's life

But to me, telling lies

It brings me merry,
"You are doing great"
And like a lie, I'm doing

Our Nature

It is a wonderful creature,
We called it nature,

How come we be so bold,
To harm this beautiful world.

There's more to this than meets the eye,

Once you realize it you will cry,
The longer you look at it,

The deeper you will appreciate it.

Nothing could ever beat its beauty,
Not even a painting could portray it,

And for our society,
We must protect it.

Messages now

I went to the sea,
Wanting for some peace of mind,
Apart from the strain.
I sit by the sea,
Watching the waves comes to me,
And calling me in.
I lay in the sea,
Letting it drifts and drowns me,
Taking this lost soul.
Eyes and mind are shut,
Succumbing to emptiness,
Will I find my path?

GOLDEN HOUR

By: Intan Nursyafiqa binti Makmar Kadapi

You are the sunlight,
The sunlight that paints us gold,

Give warmth of a moment.

Golden and magic,
I am bedazzled by light,

Lighting up my lives.

When it is too hard,
I will be your guiding light,

Like golden hour.

Abandoned
Hometown

BY NURUL NAJWA

If I could take a brush and paint the beautiful landscape
of my village,

I w o u l d s p l a s h t h e o u t d o o r y a r d w i t h g r e e n m o u n t a i n s a n d

coconut tree,

I'd take the sharpest needle and sew the outline of each
element then,
It looks more realistic and feel the warmth of my
abandoned hometown.
Remember when my hometown was alive with laughter and

joy,
it was the happiest moment of my life and my family,
But not any longer since my grandparents left this world,

E v e r y o n e w a s t o o p r e o c c u p i e d

At the end my hometown was forgotten,

In the beautiful landscape of Negeri Sembilan,
But the memories were not forgotten,
And life continues to go on.

NATURE IS DYING, NATURE IS HEALING

WRITTEN BY: NURYUSRINA BINTI MOHD FAUZI

Nature has been treated unfairly
Beautiful creatures are destroyed

Nature is dying

Humans are real monsters

No humanity, no respect

Nature is dying

Pandemic comes as a rescuer
Tranquil gaze from nature
Nature is healing

Wake up, this is an eye-opener

With sympathy and admiration
Nature is healing

I am a dandelion, Some find me beautiful
A weed, A miracle

That holds impossible Some find me annoying
Wishes and dreams A waste
Overlooked by most,
Rained in rain I am a dandelion,
Flowing in a breeze A weed,
Stepped on in fields

That holds impossible

Wishes and dreams

Circle

Life is like a marathon race,
And sometimes we just can’t find

the finish line,
Even we have given our blood,

sweat, and tears,
It is because we just run in the circle

of life.

All of us want to run away from
this circle,

Maybe we had escaped the circle
once,

But, at a certain point we just
started again at the starting line,
It is because we just run in the circle

of life.

A FOREST

A home for animals to live and stay
For us, it is just a thing
Our thing that we can take and leave
Rely on when we need it the most
Empty and stranded we let it go
So greedy we take without thinking
The consequences when it's not there

SCARECROW

In our world, everyone has a soulmate.
But why am I standing alone in such a vast field?
I stand alone, long after everyone else has gone,
like a scarecrow.
After the sun goes down, everyone heads home together,
leaving me standing alone in a vast field.
Because I am a scarecrow.

- Liyana Nafisah

Lovers

Not everyone knows
About my loves
Time to confess
Upon to be fearless
Right in front of my eyes
Earth becomes the witness
Lover? Yes I am
Over your beautiful charms, I gave in
Volunteering myself towards the end
Embracing your scent is how I begin
Rest assured dear, you are safe in my hand

Nature of Water

Water,
venturing ahead always,
pushing through all barriers,
never once letting life to hinder

you,
never ever once look back

Water,
sit still, stale you'd be,
escaping past and sorrow,

wager no more
spiraling down deeper and

harder,
till no more trace of you,

left behind

Sea,
A good place for a remedy,

Not to feel so lonely,
To have friends beside me.

Sea,
Full of love and memory,
With companions and family,
Never fails to make me happy,
What a therapy!
