9 BOOK REVIEW I was thrilled to read ‘All About Me. Farmer’ published by Mind to Mind. It is a moral story about the work of a farmer. This book has many good values. The farmer gows vegetables and raise animals in a farm. They also have orchard where they grow fruit trees. The farmer uses tractors, spades, hoes, sickles, spike and harrow for farming. They usually sell their vegetables at the local markets. The farmers rear cattle and dairy cows and raise sheep for their wool which can be used for making warm clothings. 10 BOOK REVIEW I have just finished reading a simple but interesting story entitled “A Perfect Day’ which is adapted by Irene Trimble. This book is published by Early Reader. The genre of this story is fable. This story is about Pooh and his friends. Pooh and his friends want to fly their kites. Everyone got different types of kites. They waited for the wind to blow. Finally, the wind came. Everyone was happy and ready to fly their kites. When they all stared to fly their kites the wind went away. Everyone was so sad and went back home. On their way home, suddenly, the wind came back. Pooh and his friends were extremely happy. They went outside and flew their kites happily. ‘A Perfect Day’ is a spectacular book and I would definitely recommend this book to my friends. I had a whale of time reading this book. 12 My Favourite Subject I like all the subjects but I love English the most. Firstly, I love English because the teacher who teaches me English is very kind and helpful. Learning English with her is fun and wonderful. Secondly, this subject teaches me how to talk in English. I sing, act, reciteand tell story during the class. It helps me to improve my knowledge in English. Lastly, this subject also helps me to improve my vocabulary. I learn grammar through games. I also have online games and quizzes. 23 Aidilfitri: Cara Berbeza Umat Islam Sambut Hari Raya Hari Raya Aidilfitri disambut oleh umat Islam sebagai tanda meraikan kemenangan setelah sebulan berjaya mendidik diri dalam sekolah Ramadan.Ia adalah kejayaan yang terhasil melalui akhlak yang terbina dan kemampuan untuk konsisten beramal sebagaimana tekunnya beramal pada bulan Ramadan yang lalu.Maka, kegembiraan kemenangan ini sering terzahir melalui sambutan yang dipenuhi keceriaan gelak tawa, menghiasi rumah, pemakaian baju terbaik, ziarah-menziarahi dan ucapan doa kepada keluarga serta sahabat handai.Takbir akan bergema di seluruh surau dan masjid setiap kali selesai solat pada 1 Syawal sebagai tanda kemenangan dan membesarkan keagungan Tuhan. Hari Raya Aidilfitri akan ditentukan melalui dua cara iaitu melalui rukyah (melihat anak bulan) ataupun secara hisab (kiraan kalendar). Penentuan melalui rukyah adalah yang paling utama apabila anak bulan kelihatan ini menunjukkan bermulanya bulan Syawal iaitu bulan ke-10 Kalendar Islam Hijrah. Oleh kerana kalendar Islam adalah bersandarkan kepada peredaran bulan maka tarikh Hari Raya Puasa atau Aidilfitri berbeza-beza setiap tahun malah berbeza-beza bergantung kepada lokaliti. Sambutan Aidilfitri merupakan antara perayaan besar bagi umat Islam selain Aidiladha di seluruh dunia. Cara sambutan Aidilfitri bergantung pada budaya dan adat resam masyarakat setempat. Berikut adalah perbezaan sambutan Aidilfitri di beberapa negara di seluruh dunia.Di negara-negara Arab, sambutan hari raya biasanya berlangsung selama tiga hari. Pakaian tradisi yang dipakai adalah jubah bagi lelaki dan abaya bagi wanita. Menjadi kelaziman di seluruh dunia bagi umat Islam untuk menyambut Aidilfitri dengan penuh kegembiraan.Setelah sebulan bermujahadah di bulan Ramadan, jadikan sambutan perayaan ini dilakukan dengan kesederhanaan dan menjaga norma batas sempadan syariat.
