LED MIDDLE EAST EXPO ( THE EVENT )
Editorial THE EVENT
The launch of the third issue of the Power Magazine coincides with the launch of
the third edition of the International LED Technology and modern LED lighting
systems and electronic components Exhibition, LED Middle East Expo, which will
be held at the Cairo International Conference Center from August 2nd to 4th.
The event is very important as the exhibition is the only activity in this sector
specialized in modern lighting systems, and the use of LED technology in all fields.
The importance of the exhibition is reflected in the interest of the Egyptian state
in the event, at the investment level, as well as the special aspirations of the sector,
which the state plans to make a major change in the interest of saving energy.
In this regard, policies have been developed and initiatives are being launched to
replace the current lighting and lighting system with new energy-saving systems,
thereby reducing harmful emissions to the environment, as well as reducing the
import of energy derivatives needed to operate power plants, in order to save
billions of dollars of hard currency and pump them into other routes in support
of the national economy.
The exhibition comes in line with the State’s economic development plan,
as energy consumption has developed significantly over the past five years.
Increasing efficiency and rationalizing energy consumption is imperative to face
the growing demand for it and its positive impact on improving the environmental
effect of reducing greenhouse gas emissions. Reducing oil consumption for
thermal generating plants is required for that.
The Egyptian state has launched a national plan to improve energy efficiency in
Egypt in order to achieve an expected saving of 5% of the average consumption
during the past five years in some sectors such as, domestic lighting, drinking
water, and sanitation and other sectors.

LED technology and modern lighting systems are sponsoring the event, which
involves many foreign companies manufacturing the latest technology serving
