Conductor : Bare copper conductor, diameter 0.4, 0.6 or 0.9 mm
Insulation :
Unit Stranding : Cellular polyethylene (PE) & additional skin of solid (PE).
Color Coding : Each Four insulated conductors are twisted together To Form a star quad
Each five quads, in sequence and of color codingare stranded together to
form sub unit 10 pairs. The sub units are stranded together to form main
50 or 100 pairs.
The conductor insulation is identified by color coding and black markers
as follows:
Basic colors of the 4 conductors’ insulation of each star quad of the basic
5 quads sub-unit: Quad#1 Red Quad#2 Green Quad#3 Gray
Quad#4 Yellow Quad#5 White
-Unit Identification
A red color helix binder marks the tracer sub-unit of every main-unit as
well as the tracer main-units of every cable core. The other sub-units &
main-units are marked sub-units & main-units are marked by white color
helix binder.
