The popular community bike parade Anderson Arts Center Administrato
returns this year, with a goal of encouraging
bicycling in the community. All ages are more on next page!
welcome to participate - but people must be
able to ride two miles without stopping and
keep up with the group.All participants in the
bike parade must ride a bike; no walking or
jogging with the group. People are
encouraged to decorate their bikes or add to
the spirit of the event by dressing up to
celebrate the women’s suffrage theme. Bike
parade participants do not need to submit a
parade application.

Years ago, the parade was organized by a
committee of community volunteers. Today,
the parade is put together by City of
Kenosha staff, with wonderful support from
community volunteers. It takes about 40
parade volunteers to organize the parade
and keep it running smoothly. Parade day
begins about three hours before the parade
steps off, as volunteers meet the parade
entries in the staging area and direct people
