Page 4 HAPPENINGS April 25, 2024 www.hap2it.com Conan O'Brien said his new show, Conan O'Brien Must Go, streaming on Max, makes fun of him as "the ugly American." O'Brien, 60, visits fans who have appeared on his podcast, Conan O'Brien Needs a Fan, in Norway, Thailand, Argentina and Ireland. "I enjoy being the butt of the joke often," O'Brien said during a panel at the Paley Center for Media in New York, viewed via livestream. "I like people to laugh at me." In Norway, O'Brien visits a rap duo. He said he hopes the show helps E.D.A.'s career, and it just might if the behind-the-scenes crew are any indication. "All the editors, everybody's been calling me up saying, 'I cannot get that out of my head,'" O'Brien said. "It's not good, but a lot of music isn't good. It just gets stuck in your head." While in Norway, O'Brien learns about knitting and visits a re-creation of a Viking village. He has an insult battle with a Viking performer, whom he encouraged to let loose on the host. "He's a nice man, so I let it sit for a really long time. and then he comes up with, 'You diabetic poor excuse of a ...,'" O'Brien said. "Oh my God, there's a really mean guy in there who hates America." In Thailand, O'Brien visits an athlete and tries to keep up with her. "She's just looking at me at my age and letting me have it in the most delightful way," O'Brien said. Conan O'Brien Must Go writers put O'Brien in those situations too. A Thai boxing sketch wore him out but he's happy with the results. "Their idea is Conan O'Brien boxes very hard using his arms and legs outdoors in 108-degree heat with 100% humidity at the age of 60," O'Brien said. They're going to be helivacing me out of one of these, defibrillating [my heart]." Some fan favorite characters from O'Brien's talk shows join him in his travels. Producer Jordan Schlansky still takes everything seriously while O'Brien jokes around. "We brought him to Argentina because he is so persnickety and such a know-it-all about culture," O'Brien said. "So he knows all about tango and all about the food and how you need to appreciate it." Travel has been a part of O'Brien's oeuvre since his NBC show, Late Night with Conan O'Brien. It began when he visited Finland after being told he looked like its incumbent president, Tarja Halonen. O'Brien visited Cuba, Italy, South Korea and other countries on his TBS show. He says he still makes friends because of those episodes. Finnish people still walk up to him, he said, "and they hug and we talk about Finland. I love that. I can't get enough of that." O'Brien and his crew took a risk visiting Cuba without papers during the Obama administration, when they believed friendly relations with Cuba might resume. Now, O'Brien said he would love to visit Russia, but does not believe it is feasible with the war on Ukraine ongoing. "I just always picture Putin watching at home and going, 'That one, get him, the tall red-haired lady," O'Brien joked. Still, getting to know regular people around the world gives O'Brien hope for the future. He says he is only 51% to 52% optimist, but his experience with individuals is encouraging. "We are in a very scary time that approaches the late 1930s in terms of totalitarianism, impatience, intolerance and groups trying to destroy each other," O'Brien said. "Governments, institutions [and] movements could be very problematic, but individual people usually make me feel better about things." New episodes of Conan O'Brien Must Go stream Thursdays. By Fred Topel 'I enjoy being the butt of the joke' Conan O’Brien stars in new HBO Max show The former late night talk show host travels the world in the new HBO Max series “Conan O’Brien Must Go” born Conan Christopher O’Brien April 18, 1963 (age 61) Brookline, Massachusetts O’Brien was a brilliant student growing up in Massachusetts. He graduated high school as valedictorian in 1981 and promptly entered Harvard University. In college, he found his love for comedy as a writer for the Harvard Lampoon humor magazine. After graduating college, O’Brien moved to LA to join the writing staff of the HBO sketch comedy series “Not Necessarily the News.” In January 1988, he was hired as a writer on “Saturday Night Live.” Citing burnout, O’Brien quit SNL in 1991 and was recruited by showrunners of the FOX animated sitcom “The Simpsons.” For three seasons, O’Brien was a writer during the peak of the show, penning fan favorite episodes “Marge vs the Monorail” and “Homer Goes to College.” With late night host David Letterman preparing for retirement, O’Brien was groomed to become his replacement in 1993. “Late Night with Conan O’Brien” premiered to unfavorable reviews. Viewers were unfamiliar with O’Brien and his style of comedy and found his to be “too smart, too sophisticated, and too tall.” The show would grow in popularity, and eventually last for 15 seasons. For six months, O’Brien was the host of “The Tonight Show”, until highly publicized network politics prompted a host change in 2010. Within a year after being ousted by NBC, O’Brien had returned with a new late night show. “Conan” on TBS, which would air for 11 seasons. In 2018, O’Brien launched his weekly podcast “Conan O’Brien Needs a Friend,” where he interviews celebrities, comedian, politicians, and friends. O’Brien had been romantically linked with “Friends” star Lisa Kudrow in the early 1990s. He met advertising copywriter Liza Powel in 2000 and they began dating. The two married in 2002 and have two children. The New York Times describes O’Brien’s style as “awkward, self-deprecating humor,” and his late night programs combined the “lewd and wacky with more elegant, narrativedriven short films.” FYI Conan O’Brien

Page 6 HAPPENINGS April 25, 2024 www.hap2it.com Mom wins $1M from Powerball ticket bought by son A Virginia woman won $1 million from a Powerball ticket her son gave her because he was leaving on a vacation. Maria Roldan told officials her son gave her the Powerball ticket he bought because he was leaving for a vacation and wouldn't be around for the drawing. Roldan's ticket matched the first five winning numbers in the drawing, making her the only $1 million winner that night. The winner's son accompanied her to claim her winnings. He recalled his reaction upon finding out how much she had won: "You are kidding, right?" Missing dog found 17 days after escape at Melbourne Airport A dog who went missing at the Melbourne Airport in Australia was reunited with his owner in Wales after a 17-day search. The dog, named Milo, had been due to travel home to Swansea, Wales, with owner Jason Whatnall when the canine escaped from the custody of AeroPets Animal Transport. A 17- day search of the area was launched, and there were multiple sightings reported, but Milo always fled before he could be caught. "He's had a ball -- he was chasing rabbits, playing with the kangaroos around Tullamarine," Whatnall told 7News. "He had a massive adventure. Last little trip around Australia before jetting off to the U.K." Animal rescuer Nigel Williamson shared video showing the moment Milo finally walked into a humane trap set up by a local charity group. Whatnall said his reunion with Milo at Heathrow Airport was emotional for them both. "He was squealing like a little cheeky boy he is -- he couldn't stop. It was great," Whatnall said. LA Clippers introduce $1,300 first-come, first-serve ticket Los Angeles Clippers fans now can buy a $1,300 season ticket that allows them to get a seat -- on a first-come, first-serve basis -- in a fan section next season at the Intuit Domed. The pass, priced at $1,299 before taxes and fees, provides access to all 41 regular-season home games -- an equivalent to $30 per game. Fans who purchase the ultimate wall pass will have their seats assigned from row Nos. 3 through 51 depending on their arrival time, with better seats given to those who arrive early. Most fans who buy the tickets will sit in the section known as "The Wall" behind the opposing team's basket. High-demand games could result in seat assignments in other areas of the arena, including the standingroom-only section. Those with the ultimate wall pass will receive early access to playoff tickets and discounted concession prices. Two vultures found 'too drunk to fly' An animal rescue group in Connecticut said a pair of drunk vultures were treated with fluids and "a big breakfast" before being released. A Place Called Hope said that the "dynamic duo" had been "dumpster diving" and ended up eating something "that was fermented enough to cause severe intoxication." The rescue said the vultures were initially thought to be seriously ill, but testing confirmed they were merely "too drunk to fly." "They only needed fluids and to be tucked in overnight... and fed a BIG breakfast the next day," the post said. The vultures were released back into the wild and successfully rejoined their colony. "Remember, your cocktail fruit that ends up in a dumpster can end up intoxicating wildlife," the post said. Just 1 in 7 college students knows how to administer naloxone for fentanyl overdose Even though fentanyl-linked fatal overdoses are soaring among young adults, a new survey of American college students found that just 1 in 7 knew how to administer the overdose antidote drug naloxone. Many who took the survey "reported high willingness to intervene during an overdose, yet only a small proportion knew how to administer naloxone, an easily learnable skill," said a team led by Christina Freibott, a doctoral candidate in the Boston University School of Public Health. U.S. fatal overdoses linked to fentanyl-laced drugs tripled among adolescents between 2019 and 2022, even though rates of illicit drug use hadn't risen during that time. That suggests that highly toxic fentanyl is increasingly being mixed into a wider range of recreational drugs, beyond opioids. Naloxone, which comes as an injection or in a nasal spray form (Narcan) can rescue people from a potentially deadly fentanyl overdose. The Boston team queried more than 7,000 college students on whether they could spot an overdose, whether they'd be willing to intervene in such situations and whether they knew how to administer naloxone. They found that about 62% of respondents could spot at least one sign that an overdose was occurring, and nearly two-thirds (66.8%) "felt comfortable calling emergency services during an overdose event." However, just over 14% "reported knowing how to administer naloxone," Freibott's group reported. Women (14.7%) were slightly more knowledgeable about using the antidote than men (13%). coast to coast Red Sox to call up 31-year-old excarpenter Former carpenter Cam Booser, a 31-year-old pitcher who spent four years out of professional baseball, will be promoted from the minor leagues and join the Boston Red Sox big-league roster. Booser, who went undrafted, started his career in the Minnesota Twins organization in 2013. He has never appeared in an MLB game. The left-handed relief pitcher went 2-0 with a 2.70 ERA over four appearances this year for the Triple-A Worcester Red Sox. He went 4-3 with a 4.99 ERA over 48 appearances last season in Triple A. He went 9-15 with a 4.72 ERA over 149 career appearances in the minor leagues. Booser, who can throw a 99-mph fastball and deceptive cutter, earned his first major-league spring training invitation last offseason. He was reassigned to minor-league camp in March. Booser went 1-0 with a 1.80 ERA in nine games at spring training. He allowed four hits and two runs over 10 innings. He retired from baseball in 2017 after undergoing several surgeries, including one for a back injury he sustained after he was hit by a car while riding a bike. He also was suspended for 50 games in 2017 for testing positive for a drug of abuse for the second time. He was with the Twins, who tried to convert him into an outfielder. Booser moved back to Seattle, his hometown, where he took up carpentry, primarily working on ceilings in downtown high-rises. "I joined the local carpenters union back in Seattle, Local 41," Booser told MLB.com. "I worked for the company that my dad was a part of for a long time. When I originally retired, I thought that was it. I didn't have any plans of coming back." Cam Booser Maria Roldan

Wingsuiting, free diving and rock climbing aren't the only new challenges the star of Orlando Bloom: To The Edge faced while filming his new three-part adventure docuseries. Streaming on Peacock, the show also marks the first time the actor is seen as his authentic self, not a fictional hero, in a long-form project. "The intention with which I went into it was to overcome my fears or to challenge myself and a big part of that was stepping into an unscripted docu-series," Bloom, 47, said in a Zoom interview "I kind of just rolled up my sleeves and embraced the world and focused predominantly on what was in front of me," he said. "I tried to stay present. That was really probably the biggest takeaway from doing any of it." The series will be the first opportunity many viewers have to really get to know the star of the Lord of the Rings and Pirates of the Caribbean blockbusters, as well as Troy and Carnival Row. "Of course, I've done so much publicity around the world for different movies I've been in, but sometimes things can be taken out of context [or you wonder] are you going to be misrepresented in some way? This is a long form, anhour-each episode," Bloom said. The actor shares on the series how important his Buddhist practice is when he is expressing gratitude or preparing to do something difficult. "You see me chanting on the show. That is something that I haven't been super public about," he said. "We talk about it a little bit at different times." The series also depicts in detail all of the training and discipline one must endure before jumping out of an airplane in a parachuteless wingsuit or diving deep into the ocean. "In this day and age, we see these 15-second, insane clips on social-media platforms and we think, 'That's easy, I'll try that!'" Bloom joked. "What you don't see are the years, months and hours of dedication that go into it. That was very revealing, as well. The learning curve was quick," he said of his own experience. "I only had a handful of days on each of these [episodes] to get up to speed and attempt some of the things that most people wouldn't do. "You see that after 25 jumps [out of a plane with a parachute], my 26th jump was with a wingsuit. They were like, 'We're not sure if anyone's ever done this before.' I was like, 'Cool.'" Asked how much he told his partner, pop music star Katy Perry, and other loved ones about the series before he filmed it, Bloom said with a laugh, "I think I underplayed it to some extent." "Katy kind of probably assumed that I was doing a show and there is insurance in place and people aren't going to let me die," Bloom said. "I will say I felt like my life was in my hands at different times. I did feel that," he added. "There were safety [rules] and protocols that we were following. But there are variables that can go south very, very quickly." Bloom, who has always been an adrenaline junkie, said he no longer is reckless or impulsive like he was in his youth, with the risks he takes these days under the supervision of experts. "There is more at stake," he said. "I have a beautiful family and I really do love my life and I am grateful." He said he feels like what he experienced through the show makes him a better partner and father in his personal life. "I can take that back to the daily of my life, just being way more present for my family, being more capable and giving me a confidence that [makes me feel], 'If I can overcome this, what else can I do?' It's not like I'm suddenly going to climb the Eiffel Tower. It's sort of like how does that condense down to my day-today?" By Karen Butler Orlando Bloom hopes 'To the Edge' inspires viewers to face their fears Orlando Bloom, pictured with wife Katy Perry, stars in the new adventure docu-series “Orlando Bloom: To the Edge”  now streaming on Peacock. www.hap2it.com April 25, 2024 HAPPENINGS Page 7 Mon - Sat 9-5 • Closed Sunday 3308 52nd Street • Kenosha, WI 262-656-1899 Over 30 Years In Business! 032124 Cell Phones REMOTE START BOAT SOUND SYSTEMS GPS Subs and Amps Stop by for a Free Estimate. Since then, Swift has become one of the most accomplished artists in the Hot 100’s entire history. Prior to the release of her latest album “The Tortured Poet’s Department”, Swift has boasted 232 career charted titles – the most among women. Her 49 top 10s and 138 top 40 hits (of which “Tim McGraw” became her first, rising to #40) are also the most among women, while her 11 #1s place her in a tie for the eighth-most leaders among all acts. Swift, having since deftly traversed country, pop, adult alternative and more genres, has consistently added to her Hot 100 legacy. In 2012, she scored her first #1 with “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together,” while in 2021 she defied the belief that pop music caters only to shorter attention spans, as, thanks to an update of a fan favorite, she notched the longest #1 single in the survey’s archives: “All Too Well (Taylor’s Version),” at 10 minutes and 13 seconds in length. A year later, Swift achieved the unprecedented feat of monopolizing the Hot 100’s top 10 in a single frame, as, on the chart dated Nov. 5, 2022, she infused the region with 10 tracks from her 2022 albumMidnights, led by the #1 launch of the set’s lead single, “Anti-Hero.” Swift continues to rewrite Hot 100 history. In October 2023, “Cruel Summer” became her 10th #1. Reigning more than four years after its release on her 2019 album,Lover, it completed the longest ascent to the top for a non-holiday song by a woman with no accompanying artists. And her fire doesn’t appear to be stifling anytime soon. Fans and critics alike are praising Swift’s latest album, so it’s a safe bet that her records and top ten lists will continue to be broken and evolve over her career. Fred Rubino has been in the comedy scene for over 10 years, starting as an opener for comics such as Nick Dipaolo and Vic Dibitetto and now performing around the east coast as a headliner himself. Fred is not only known for being the voice of Italian Americans during his sets, but also for his hilarious Facebook live cooking show that has popularized his catchphrase “Get the food outta here” (G.T.F.O.H.)! You certainly don’t want to miss this stand-up act. Q: How did you get started in comedy? A: After seeing an interview with Jerry Seinfeld in New York City, he said if you think you can write funny things and do it on stage then you should give it a try. I was always the funniest guy in the room and being unemployed a lot from construction with two kids in school, I decided to give it a try. Six years later, I was headlining clubs. Q: What is the biggest inspiration behind your material? How does this manifest into jokes? A: I love ethnic jokes because they point out the absurdity of hating others due to our differences, when in all actuality that’s what makes society in general more interesting. I take a typical situation in Italian culture and stretch it to an absurd degree and the more it’s stretched, the funnier I feel it becomes. Q: How do you go about creating new material? A: Either current events or old childhood nostalgia, I try to mix them together to form a joke.I like to show stark differences in how we live today compared to my Italian upbringing. Q: What is your favorite part about being a comedian and performing at shows? A: I get to meet some of the most wonderful people all over this great county. Q: What advice would you give someone who is interested in pursuing a career in comedy? A: Put the work in. If you’re truly serious, write every day because it doesn’t happen overnight. It takes years to get enough material to carry an audience for any length of time, so don’t rush it. Rule number 1 is BE FUNNY! It doesn’t matter if what you’resaying is true or happened to you or is all made up, AS LONG AS IT’S FUNNY! Page 14 HAPPENINGS April 25, 2024 www.hap2it.com While southern England gets most of the glory – and the tourists – the country’s far northeastern corner harbors some of England’s best historical sights. Hadrian’s Wall serves as a reminder that this was once an important Roman colony, while nearby Holy Island is where Christianity gained its first toehold in Britain. And both can be reached from the town of Durham, home to England’s greatest Norman church. For years I’ve visited Hadrian’s Wall, the remains of the fortification the Romans built nearly 2,000 years ago to mark the northern end of their empire, where Britannia stopped and the barbarian land that would someday be Scotland began. But until a more recent visit, I had never ventured beyond the National Trust properties, the museums, and the various car-park viewpoints. This time, I spent a sunny late afternoon actually hiking the wall. As I scrambled along these Roman ruins, I took a moment to simply absorb the setting. All alone with the sound of the wind, I surveyed the vast expanses and craggy hills that seem to rip across the island, like a snapshot that has frozen some sort of geological violence in midaction. Hadrian’s Wall stretches 73 miles across the isle. Once a towering 15-foot-tall fortification, that once mighty wall is now only about three feet wide and three to six feet high. But it’s still one of England’s most thought-provoking sights. The best way to experience the wall is to focus on a six-mile stretch right in the middle, featuring three must-see sights: Housesteads Roman Fort, which shows you where the Romans lived; Vindolanda’s museum, which shows you how they lived; and the Roman Army Museum, which explains the empire-wide military organization that brought them here. This stretch of the wall also boasts some of the most enjoyable hiking. A three-mile ridge walk alongside the wall from Steel Rigg to Sycamore Gap (named for the much-loved tree that stood there until vandals cut it down in 2023) to Housesteads Roman Fort gives you a perfect taste of scenery and history. If you prefer history with monks mixed in, visit Holy Island. This small dot off the coast of northern England, near the Scottish border, was the home and original burial ground of St. Cuthbert, a great missionary monk and leader of the early Christian church in northern England. Known 1,200 years ago as Lindisfarne, this island was the source of the magnificent Lindisfarne Gospels, illustrated by monks with some of the finest art from Europe’s early Middle Ages. By the ninth century, Viking raids forced the monks to take shelter in Durham, but they returned centuries later to reestablish a church on this holy site. Today, Holy Island makes a pleasant stop for modern-day pilgrims, who cross a causeway to a quiet town with B&Bs, cafés, and 150 residents. The island’s highlights include a priory, with an evocative field of ruined church walls and a tiny museum, a former coast-guard lookout tower offering expansive views, and a dramatically situated castle that’s more enticing from afar than it is inside. South of Hadrian’s Wall and Holy Island and three hours north of London by train, the town of Durham sits snug below its castle and famous church. A sharp bend in the River Wear protected medieval Durham, providing a moat on three sides. Today, the river ties Durham into a tidy little bundle and seems to protect it only from the modern world. For nearly a thousand years, pilgrims have come to Durham to see its cathedral. It was built around the year 1100 to house the much venerated bones of St. Cuthbert. The architecture is unusually harmonious because it’s all one style. The cathedral was built in just 40 years and survives essentially unaltered. In the rest of Europe, this kind of architecture would be called “Romanesque.” But in England, it’s called “Norman,” named after the invaders who brought the style across the English Channel from France. The cathedral’s round arches and zigzag carved decorations are textbook Norman. From a magnificent cathedral to striking ruins, England’s northernmost fringes provide the best opportunity to delve into the country’s fascinating past while enjoying its friendly present. By Rick Steves Glimpse the ancient past in northeast England travel Step 2,000 years into the past by hiking Hadrian’s Wall The Federal Aviation Administration announced new rest rules for air traffic controllers aimed at reducing fatigue and ending mistakes that cause nearmisses on the runway. FAA Administrator Mike Whitaker in a statement said air traffic controllers will be required to take 10 hours off in between shifts and 12 hours off before a midnight shift, effective in 90 days. "In my first few months at the helm of the FAA, I toured air traffic control facilities around the country -- and heard concerns about schedules that do not always allow controllers to get enough rest," Whitaker said. "With the safety of our controllers and national airspace always top of mind for FAA, I took this very seriously -- and we're taking action." The new rule follows recommendations from a report the FAA commissioned in December, in which a panel of scientific experts determined the fatigue air traffic controllers experience from lack of rest impairs their alertness and threatens air traffic safety. Addressing the decades-long shortage of air traffic controllers also is a top priority, Whitaker said. The FAA last year reached a hiring goal of 1,500 controllers and said it's on track to hire 1,800 more by the end of 2024. The FAA in February announced a new college program to recruit new air traffic controllers amid fatigue and high turnover rates. Whitaker, who was nominated by President Joe Biden to lead the FAA, has said the "safety of the flying public" is his highest priority and that the FAA has a "a new goal to end serious close calls. Naturally, there is opposition, principally from Big Potato, which views the vegetable designation to be good for business, even if nutritionally speaking, potatoes are more like a refined carbohydrate. A spokesperson for the National Potato Council predicts a "chaotic outcome" if potatoes lose their veggie luster. The current dietary guidelines are under review, with new ones slated to debut in 2025. There's still time for opposing forces to see eye to eye, or in this case, eyes to eyes. Body of Knowledge For the approximately 10% of readers who are left-handed: If you are left-handed, chances are your mother was also lefthanded, but your father was righthanded. A woman over the age of 40 is 28% more likely to bear a left-handed child. A premature infant is five times more likely to be left-handed. Left-handers tend to use their right hands more frequently than right-handers use their left hands. Experts claim that when they walk into a room, left-handers tend to turn left and right-handers tend to turn right. Left-handers tend to be better at algebra; the reason, suggest some, is that their brains are better suited to dealing with the abstract. Artists, musicians and academic women are more likely than average to be left-handed. but also have an advantage as musicians because the regions of their brains that deal with sound are larger and better developed. A larger percentage of lefthanders than right-handers smoke cigarettes, which may partially explain why right-handed people live, on average, nine years longer than left-handed people. Best Medicine Q: Why did the urologist lose his license? A: He got in trouble with his peers. Observation "I'm killing time while I wait for life to shower me with meaning and happiness." — Bill Watterson (Calvin and Hobbes) Medical History This week in 1923, insulin became generally available for diabetics' use. First discovered in 1922, insulin is now broadly used (an estimated 8.4 million Americans) for the daily treatment of diabetes. Insulin, a natural and vital hormone for carbohydrate metabolism in the body, is manufactured by the pancreas. An overabundance of insulin causes insulin shock and leads to a variety of symptoms, including coma. It is extracted from the pancreas of sheep and oxen; it is also synthesized in the laboratory. Self-Exam Q: Why do you sweat after you shower? A: Post-shower perspiration is the result of residual heat — those still-hot droplets of shower water clinging to your body and triggering a cooling response from it in the form of sweat. The way to avoid being sweaty after a shower is simple, suggest experts: You gradually lower the temperature of the shower, dialing it down every 10 seconds or so, from hot to warm or cool, washing away any sweat and adjusting your body's thermostat. Moving to a cooler or less steamy environment to towel off also helps. Medical Myths The old "cut and suck" method of aiding a snakebite victim has been largely discredited, though it persists because, well, it looks like a pretty cool and dramatic way to save a life. In fact, trying to suck the venom out of a snake bite is counterproductive. The venom spreads through the victim's system very quickly, too fast to effectively suck much out. Also, cutting and sucking on the wound is likely to increase the risk of infection and cause further tissue damage. The current recommendation is to not touch a snake bite wound and seek immediate medical assistance, keeping the victim as calm as possible. Remove any tight clothing in the event of swelling, and do not drink caffeine or alcohol that can increase heart rate. And remember what the snake looks like so you can describe it to doctors. Last Words "I feel sick. The dog is sick, too. We are both ill. April 25, 2024 through May 1, 2024 ARIES (March 21-April 19): There are numerous opportunities for you to shine in the outer world. Consider strategies to improve your reputation, which may translate into more success. You could become a topic of thought as the week unfolds. TAURUS (April 20-May 20): Deep feelings may be dredged up as your heart is laid bare. Passion is admirable but may lead you astray. Since some situations could change in an instant, it might be best to wait to make a permanent decision or commitment. GEMINI (May 21-June 20): Keep an open mind; embrace new perspectives to increase your knowledge. You may find yourself feeling torn between different options. Take comfort in knowing that you are supported through the consequences of your final decision. CANCER (June 21-July 22): People value your opinion and guidance despite where your area of expertise lies. They could be looking to you for inspiration and personal encouragement during challenges. Your sound judgment and voice of reason are appreciated. LEO (July 23-Aug. 22): You might go overboard or go to extremes if you only focus on your needs. Consider the advice of those who have your best interest at heart before you make a move or make a decision. A phone call or text could lead to a change in your plans. VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22): Sometimes you take a deeper look only to discover that there is nothing going on under the surface. You might be surprised that adopting a less skeptical attitude could alter your outlook for the better. Accept new information and conversations at face value. LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 22): Your outlook on the entire world may seem more enjoyable and exciting when you feel loved. You may feel cherished and secure when you are nestled safely within the comfort of the familiar. Spend time with your closest companions. SCORPIO (Oct. 23-Nov. 21): Imitating someone who appears successful and vibrant might bring out your own hidden charms. Perhaps it is time to reinvent your appearance, style, or habits. Find ways to make personal skills and talents more obvious. SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21): Reevaluate your personal and professional position in the world. Putting a positive spin on your ideas could become a crucial factor. New sources of income could be illuminated in the upcoming week. CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19): Life is more than just making money and getting the best end of a deal. It could be admirable to exercise intelligence, but not to the exclusion of all else. Incorporate acts of kindness into your daily routine; it's a win-win for you and everyone around you. AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18): It may be easy to start projects but starting them simultaneously could make it harder to finish. You may believe that removing something would make your home more pleasant or tranquil; but you might be having second thoughts. PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20): It’s been said that the evidence speaks for itself. If you are on a diet you might prefer to have set guidelines. Pay extra attention to your bank account in the week ahead since minor changes could provide valuable insight.
