Page 4 HAPPENINGS July 27, 2023 www.hap2it.com Holland Roden plays a woman literally turning into her boyfriend's mother in Mother, May I?, now available with video on demand. Anya (Roden) accompanies Emmett (Kyle Gallner) to settle his late mother Tracy's estate, but begins acting like Tracy. "I wanted to approach it as realistically as possible," Roden told UPI in a phone interview conducted before the SAGAFTRA strike. "That was a first for me, playing the girlfriend and his 65-year-old deceased mother." Roden said she crafted a different physicality to portray Anya and Tracy. "Anya didn't lead with her sexuality and the mother did," Roden said. "Having that bravado in a 65-year-old's perspective, I think, was my biggest concern." Emmett is taken aback when he sees Anya dancing like his mother. Roden said she practiced choreography from ballets of the '70s with producer Daisy Long, who also had ballet experience. "That felt very out-of-body for me, so no pun intended, it was very much out of Anya's body, as well," Roden said. "She had to be good at it." Anya and Emmett eat psilocybin mushrooms at the beginning of their visit. Writerdirector Laurence Vannicelli leaves Mother, May I? open to interpretation as to whether Anya is truly possessed or just having a bad trip. Roden, however, felt Anya's new dance skills lent credence to the possession interpretation. "For me, the dancing was one of the signs that edged it more toward a supernatural effect," Roden said. "I ultimately approached both characters authentically, meaning Tracy was actually in her body." However, Roden said just because she chose to play Anya as possessed by Tracy, that does not mean that is the correct interpretation. Roden said Vannicelli also left clues that Anya could have been manipulating Emmett. "Is there that twinkle in her eye that says, 'I'm fooling you' and so therefore you hate Anya?" Roden asked rhetorically. "Both could be believable, and it's up to the audience member" to decide. If Anya is possessed, that would make Mother, May I? another horror movie for Roden. After six seasons on MTV's Teen Wolf, a role she reprised in this year's Teen Wolf: The Movie, Roden also starred in a season of Channel Zero and the films Follow Me and Escape Room: Tournament of Champions. "I just like good stories," Roden said. "I don't care what shape that comes in." Roden said Mother, May I?'s remote estate location in western upstate New York also helped evoke the mood of the film. The cast and crew lived at the house in which they filmed. Roden said after intense days of shootings, they would decompress by watching the comedy, I Think You Should Leave with Tim Robinson. "The tone around the house was quite jubilant for such a dark film," Roden said. Roden has three more projects she completed before the SAGAFTRA strike. In a back-toschool movie, The Re-Education of Molly Singer, Roden plays a comic villain. "I was very much the Bridesmaids and Legally Blonde spin of a villain," Roden said. In the Hallmark Channel movie, Making Waves, premiering Aug. 5, Roden plays a record label executive who reconnects with a childhood sweetheart (Corey Cott) while trying to sign his band. A holiday miniseries coming in October casts Roden as a bride-tobe whose parents (John C. McGinley and Virginia Madsen) and neighbors are caught up in holiday chaos. Roden calls that one a "cheerful feel, good holiday project." Speaking on the eve of the strike, Roden said she supports the guild in its fight to raise minimum salaries and curb unreasonable AI use. Roden said she hopes the walkout does not adversely impact the release of independent films if cast members are not allowed to do publicity. "I believe in why we're striking," Roden said. "Recurring actors [on TV shows] have other jobs. That's crazy to me that you can't make a living being an actor." By Fred Topel Holland Roden can now be seen in the independent film, "Mother May I?" now available on VOD Holland Roden approached dual 'Mother, May I?' role 'as realistically as possible' Born Holland Marie Roden October 7, 1986 Dallas, Texas Roden was raised inDallas, where she attendedHockaday School, an all-girls private school. Beginning in 2011, Roden starred in theMTVteen supernatural dramaTeen Wolf, where she played Lydia Martin, a popular, intelligent girl at Beacon Hills High School who eventually discovers that she possesses the supernatural abilities of abanshee. In May 2017, Roden was cast as the lead in the third season ofSyfy's horror anthology seriesChannel Zero, titledButcher's Block. She portrayed Zoe Woods, a young woman who struggles with mental illness as well as the lead in theAmazon Prime Videohorror anthology seriesLore, in which she played the role ofBridget Cleary. Page 6 HAPPENINGS July 27, 2023 www.hap2it.com Biking the back lanes of the island of Ærø, I come to a lonely little church. Wandering through its graveyard, I notice the name on every tombstone ended in “sen.” The inscriptions, such as “Here lies Christian Hansen at anchor with his wife. He’ll not weigh until he stands before God” seem to fit the salty charm of this tiny island on the southern edge of Denmark. Ærø is the kind of island where baskets of strawberries sit in front of farmhouses — for sale on the honor system. And most people here don’t bother locking up their bikes. Ærø statistics: It’s 22 by 6 miles, with 7,000 residents, 350 deer, seven pastors, no crosswalks, three police officers, and a pervasive passion for the environment. Pedaling against a steady breeze, I pass sleek modern windmills hard at work. Along with windmills, Ærø has one of the world’s largest solar power plants. Well on its way to being completely wind- and solar-powered, this little Danish isle was recently recognized by the European Union as the greenest in Europe. My 18-mile trip laces together the best of Ærø’s charms. Leaving my home base, the ship-in-a-bottle town of Ærøskøbing, I see the first of many U-shaped farms, so typical of Denmark. The three sides block the wind and store cows, hay, and people. I bike along a dike built in the 19th century to make swampland farmable. While the weak soil is good for hay and little else, they get the most out of it. Each winter locals flood their land to let the saltwater nourish the soil and grass, in the belief that this causes their cows to produce fatter milk and meat. Struggling uphill I reach the island’s 2,700-inch-high summit — a “peak” called Synneshøj (“Seems High” … and after this pedal, it does). Each town has a fine 12thcentury church. At the church in Bregninge, the interior is still painted in the gothic style. A long stick with an offering bag comes equipped with a ting-a-ling bell to wake those nodding off. Little ships hanging in the nave are perhaps memorials to lost sailors. The Danish word for nave is the same as its word for ship. A portrait of Martin Luther hangs in the stern, keeping his Protestant hand on the rudder. The long list adjacent allows pastors to trace their pastoral lineage back to Doctor Luther himself. Rolling away, I notice how Bregninge is in a gully. Imagine pirates, centuries ago, trolling along the coast looking for church spires marking unfortified villages. Ærø’s 16 villages are all invisible from the sea — church spires carefully designed not to be viewable from sea level. A lane leads downhill, deadending at a rugged bluff called Vodrup Klint. If I were a pagan, I’d worship here — the sea, the wind, and the chilling view. The land steps in sloppy slabs down to the sea. The giant terraces are a clear reminder that when saturated with water, the slabs of clay that make up the land here get slick, and entire chunks can slip and slide. While the wind at the top could drag a kite-flier, the beach below is ideal for sunbathing. I can’t see Germany, which is just across the water, but I do see a big stone that commemorates the return of the island to Denmark from Germany in 1750. As they do all over Europe, churches mark pre-Christian holy sites. In a field adjacent to the next church, stands the Langdysse Tingstedet — a 6,000-year-old dolmen. This was an early Neolithic burial place. While Ærø once had more than 200 of these prehistoric tombs, only 13 survive. I roll back into my home base of Ærøskøbing. The sun is setting, so I pedal right on through to the sunset beach – where a row of tiny huts line the strand and where many a local enjoyed their first kiss. The huts are little more than a picnic table with walls and a roof – each lovingly painted and carved – stained with generations of family fun, sunsets, and memories of pickled herring on rye bread. It’s a perfect Danish scene where small is beautiful, sustainability is just common sense, and a favorite word, hyggelig, takes cozy to a whole new level. By Rick Steves Pedal-powered sightseeing on a charming Danish isle travel Cozy little beach houses in the town of Ærøskøbing have been lovingly tended by local families for generations. Amsterdam's council banned cruise ships from its city center in an ongoing effort to curb mass tourism. The Dutch city will close its central cruise terminal on the River IJ as it works to cut down on visitors in order to curb pollution. "Cruise ships in the center of the city don't fit in with Amsterdam's task of cutting the number of tourists," said Ilana Rooderkerk of the liberal D66 Party, which runs the city with the Labor Party and environmentalists. More than 100 cruise ships dock in Amsterdam annually in what Rooderkerk likened to a "plague of locusts" descending on the city. Amsterdam Mayor Femke Halsema said last year that cruise tourists would arrive in droves, eat at international chains and rarely stay long enough to visit museums and other attractions. The decision on cruise ships comes after Amsterdam started a "stay away" campaign in March to discourage European party-goners, particularly young people from Britain, from making the city their destination. The council previously agreed in February to ban cannabis smoking in Amsterdam's famed red-light district and placed a ban on restaurants staying open beyond 2 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. Some of those plans have been met with protests. In April, Amsterdam sex work advocates condemned plans to move the redlight district from its historic neighborhood of De Wallen to an erotic center on the outskirts of the city. The red light district resides in a centuries-old part of Amsterdam city characterized by a network of alleys containing hundreds of oneroom shops rented by sex workers who advertise their services from behind a window or glass door. It gets its name from the red lights that sex workers use to illuminate their windows. Amsterdam bans cruise ship visits to city's center

Page 10 HAPPENINGS July 27, 2023 www.hap2it.com Big, About Last Night and Afterparty actress Elizabeth Perkins says she joined the cast of Minx because the comedy explores feminism, workplace dynamics and sexual mores in 1970s Los Angeles like nothing else on screen today. Season 2 of the Starz series follows Joyce (Ophelia Lovibond) and Doug (Jake Johnson) -- the publishers of an erotic magazine for women. Assisting them are quirky, resourceful staff members Bambi (Jessica Lowe), Richie (Oscar Montoya), Shelly (Lennon Parnham) and Tina (Idara Victor). Perkins' character, Constance, is introduced as an angel investor in the new episodes. "It's a great study on what it was like to be a female boss in the early 1970s," Perkins told UPI in a Zoom interview before the Screen Actors Guild strike began last week. "My character, Constance Papadopoulos, is a wealthy titan who is now sort of languishing in her villa with her naked boys and her butler and is somehow brought in as a benefactor to the magazine," the actress said. "Because she is a self-made entrepreneur, it sort of sparks something in her that she tries to impart in the magazine and elevates the magazine to a much bigger status on a much larger stage and [shows] how that fame and success consequently affects everybody involved." Perkins signed on for the role after seeing a commercial for the show, and then immediately binged Season 1. "I thought: 'Wow! OK, this show has so much going for it, with the whole vibe of Los Angeles in the 1970s, everything that was going on with the feminist movement,'" she said. "You've got Doug, this pornographer, struggling it out in the Valley, Bambi's struggles [as a failed actress] and Lennon Parnham as a housewife at home [taking a break from the workforce]. It was really, really touching on a lot of women's interests and what it was like to navigate that world at that time." Of all the characters on the show, Constance probably connects best with Joyce, although the businesswoman and the journalist keep their relationship professional instead of becoming overly friendly. "'Respect' is the key word," Perkins said. "Constance sees the younger version of herself. Constance was the first woman to have a seat on the New York Stock Exchange," she added. "She was in it and she was clawing her way in a man's world, so she sees a little bit of herself in Joyce and wants to take her under her wing." Ideologically, they don't always agree on what should go in the magazine or how it should be marketed. "Constance is 20, 30 years older, and her version of feminism is quite different from Joyce's. The places that Constance is willing to go are a little more limited than Joyce," Perkins said. "There is a little bit of conflict there, and I think Constance is a very powerful woman who is going to go after what she wants, and if there is collateral damage there is collateral damage." Constance's opinion of the ambitious and outrageous Doug improves as the season proceeds. "She sees him as a spitfire," Perkins said. "Whether she respects him as much as, say she does Joyce, I'm not sure. Constance is also smart enough to know to keep her eye on the end game and she is willing to manipulate anyone to get to ultimately where she wants to be." She will show affection or offer someone a job or cut somebody off as situations call for. "It's all part of the plan for her to ultimately have control," Perkins said. Constance won't back a plan, regardless of how innovative it is or passionate the person who came up with it is, if she doesn't believe it will pay off. "She's all about the money," Perkins said. "It's about keeping it afloat. It's about go bigger, go bigger, go global, go, go. I think that appeals to Doug on many levels, but I think it's all about fame, success and money, and I think Constance has a tendency to lose sight of what is Joyce's goal here." Minx might be set nearly half a century ago, but it reflects obstacles that still resonate in 2023. "It's interesting that the show is out right now, particularly when we talk about women's rights and what is going on right now in our country with Roe v. Wade [being overturned]," Perkins said. "A lot of the issues that we were fighting for in the '70s we are, literally, still fighting for. I think offers a perspective in terms of the history of how long women have been fighting for equality," she added. "A lot of the subjects that we touch on are prescient." Of course, the show is a work of fiction first and foremost meant to entertain. "On a lighter level, I think the nostalgia of Los Angeles in the 1970s is a really fun, funky, interesting time period to pursue," Perkins said. "Nostalgically, to look back on in terms of music and Laurel Canyon and cars and fashion, LA was really the epi-center of 'hip' in America at the time." By Karen Butler Elizabeth Perkins: 'Minx' a great study on female bosses in the '70s Ophelia Lovibond (L) and Elizabeth Perkins star in Season 2 of the Starz series "Minx."
www.hap2it.com July 27, 2023 HAPPENINGS Page 11 PTSD as in Physical Post-traumatic stress disorder has long been considered a psychological illness, but a new study describes how PTSD leaves behind physical indicators throughout the body. In analyses of blood samples from active-duty soldiers and veterans deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan, researchers found molecules activated by inflammation, oxidative stress, metabolic dysregulation and impaired blood vessels. These molecules may be involved in ailments as varied as wound healing, cardiovascular problems and mental distress. "PTSD is coming to be seen as a systemic disorder rather than as a purely psychological illness," the authors wrote. Body of Knowledge An enduring dogma of childhood is never to swallow gum because it's indigestible and, to be more specific, will clog up your plumbing or sit in the bottom of your stomach for at least seven years. There's both truth and falsity here. What's true is that the substances that give gum its rubbery, endlessly chewable consistency — such as elastomers, waxes, resins and fillers — are largely immune to the body's various digestive powers, from your teeth and saliva to your stomach's hydrochloric acid to pancreatic enzymes and bile. What's false is that gum never leaves the body. Like other indigestible materials, such as fiber, it sticks around only long enough to be excreted. Get Me That, Stat! In 2017, the U.S. government agreed to pay disability benefits totaling more than $2 billion to veterans who had been exposed to contaminated drinking water while assigned to Camp Lejeune in North Carolina between 1953 and 1987. You've probably seen or heard the ubiquitous commercials by legal firms trawling for clients. Eight diseases were covered, including several kinds of cancer and Parkinson's disease. The link to Parkinson's was presumed, but not proved. A new study draws a firmer connection, comparing Marine veterans who lived at Camp Lejeune with those based at Camp Pendleton in California between 1975 and 1985. Among the 340,000 Marines studied, the risk of Parkinson's was 70% higher at Camp Lejeune, where the water was contaminated with the solvent trichloroethylene, used in dry cleaning and many home-cleaning products. Study authors warn that exposure to trichloroethylene was and continues to be widespread, possibly involving millions of people worldwide. Stories for the Waiting Room Adam Rainer (1899-1950) is the only known person in recorded history to qualify as both a dwarf and a giant. In 1917, when Rainer was 18 years old, he attempted to enlist in the Austro-Hungarian army but was turned away due to stature. He stood just over 4 feet tall. A decade or so later, he topped the height chart at 7 feet, 1 inch, having grown an average of 3 inches per year from age 21 to 31. The cause was a dysfunction of his pituitary gland, which suddenly began secreting excessive amounts of growth hormone. Rainer's condition is known as acromegaly, and it resulted in severe anatomical deformities, including spinal problems. In 1930, at the age of 31, doctors removed a pituitary tumor, hoping to halt his growth. It slowed, but he still added 7 more inches of height between 1932 and 1950. Rainer was likely still growing when he died from complications of a perforated intestine. He's not the tallest man documented in history (8 feet, 11 inches), but Rainer does hold the Guinness World Record for most variable stature. Best Medicine Nurse: "That cut looks terrible. The former professional football player was spotted getting close to Shayk, a model known for her work with Victoria's Secret and Sports Illustrated, in Los Angeles last weekend. Brady, 45, was seen picking up Shayk, 37, from the Hotel Bel-Air. The pair drove to Brady's Los Angeles home and stayed there until the next morning, sources said. Brady then dropped off Shayk at her hotel. Brady picked up Shayk again Saturday afternoon and was spotted caressing the model's face while stopped at a red light. The pair then returned to Brady's home. TMZ confirmed the news and said Brady and Shayk are dating. The news follows Brady's divorce from model Gisele Bundchen, from whom he split in October 2022. Shayk was previously engaged to actor Bradley Cooper and also dated soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo. Two meteor showers provide astronomical doubleheader A flurry of meteors will soon dash across the heavens, a celestial light show that will be followed up by an even more impressive astronomical event in the coming weeks. The Southern Delta Aquarids and Alpha Capricornids will peak simultaneously centered around Sunday night into early Monday. Both meteor showers have plateau-like peaks that last for about a week centered around Sunday night, meaning any night at the end of July or the start of August will offer views of shooting stars. The two long-running meteor showers will combine for 15 to 20 meteors per hour, including the chance to spot a few incredibly bright meteors known as fireballs. However, there will be some competition in the night sky at the end of July. A nearly full moon will rise Sunday night, emitting moonlight that will wash out many of the dimmer meteors. For the best chance at spotting shooting stars, experts recommend viewing the Southern Delta Aquarids and Alpha Capricornids after 3 a.m., local time, when the moon sets. Meteors will be best seen in darker areas of the sky where the moon is out of sight. The dueling meteor showers will be an appetizer for stargazers ahead of an even more impressive astronomical event in mid-August. The peak of the Perseid meteor shower will boast up to 100 shooting stars per hour on the weekend night of Aug. 12 into the early hours of Aug. 13. The moon will not hinder viewing conditions, making it a good year for the annual August sky event. Single baboon stuck between 20 wild dogs A lone baboon found itself surrounded by a pack of African wild dogs in a rare encounter. It had to find a way out. Thirty-four-yearold Marcel Kühn, an online personal trainer and avid wildlife enthusiast, had this unforgettable sighting during his camping trip in South Africa. Wild dogs, also known as African painted dogs, are an endangered species, and witnessing them in action is a rare privilege. "For the next half-hour, we followed the pack with excitement and wonder. The wild dogs then ran into a troop of baboons. Most of the baboons scattered at the sight of the wild dogs, but to their surprise, one brave baboon stood his ground. The lone baboon showed no signs of panic and stood as if it were not surrounded by Africa's most successful hunter! The African wild dog, with an 80 successful hunt rate, is one of the most feared jaws in the bush. But not for this baboon. Despite the intensity, the confrontation lasted only about a minute. The wild dogs, seemingly losing interest, eventually retreated into the bushes." Social Security, here we come Que the music and memories, the Tremper ‘70-’74 Night Out is upon us! The 30-year-old actress and model discussed her journey to sobriety in a new interview with Elle U.K. Delevingne is now nine months sober but said the road hasn't been easy. "It hasn't, but there have never been moments when I'm like, 'This isn't worth it.' It's been worth every second," she said. "I just don't know what it would take for me to give it up. I am stable. I'm calmer." In addition, the star said she's learned that she's "resilient as hell" and that "anything is possible." "I think I used to say that and not believe it. But now I really believe it," she added. Delevingne has struggled with anxiety, depression and substance abuse throughout her life but made headlines in 2022 for her unhealthy appearance. The actress checked into rehab in the fall and subsequently went public with her issues. "For a long time, I felt like I was hiding a lot from people who looked up to me," she said. "To disappear and come back for air, I finally feel as through I can be free and myself, fully." Delevingne is now immersing herself in theater, music and art to stay active and inspired. "I'm able to live in a way that I never thought I would be able to, where I can really experience things and engage with them. I never thought I would be able to enjoy anything this much," she said. Delevingne is known for starring on the Prime Video series Carnival Row. Irina Shayk Cara Delevingne

Well, that claim may have rang true a couple of generations ago, but in the last twenty years, Kenosha has gotten away from this reputation. But the rest of the state has not quite followed suit. In this recent report of The Drunkest Cities in America, released by 24/7 Wall Street, it turns out America’s Dairyland is also America’s Drunkenland, with a staggering 7 of the top 10 drunkest cities in the nation. The list was compiled using data from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and the University of Wisconsin Population Health Institute. “Drunkenness” per city was measured by the percent of the population that report either binge drinking or drinking heavily — meaning 4 to 5 drinks in a sitting or 15 or more drinks per week, respectively — during a 30-day period. Researchers examined county health data from 281 metro areas in the U.S., ultimately ranking cities by the percentage of adults that drink excessively. Here are the top 10 heaviest-drinking cities in America. FYI: Kenosha didn’t even make the top 20, but more Wisconsin cities did. Including Fond du Lac (#12), Sheboygan (#15), and Milwaukee (#20). Drunkest Cities in America 1. Green Bay, WI 2. Eau Claire, WI 3. Appleton, WI 4. Madison, WI 5. Fargo, ND-MN 6. Oshkosh/Neenah, WI 7. Missoula, MT 8. Grand Forks, ND-MN 9. Wausau, WI 10. Wisconsin (Verona) "I love Wisconsin. I love coming here. I've discovered that you people apparently have some sort of federal grant for drinking. You're insane! You pay less for liquor than anybody I know anywhere else in the country. I come here because basically, if I spend four days drinking here, even with the plane ticket, it's cheaper than drinking in New York. How do you know when it's New Year's? That's the big mystery to me. What's the difference? I've been in bars here, and it's like New Year's every @#$% night! (Imitating a Wisconsinite) ‘Oh, New Year's, that when we drink with hats on.’ I've been drunker here than anyplace else I've ever been in my life. And remember this: You are NOT, you are not alcoholics. You, and, my hat is off to you, you... are professionals." - Comedian Lewis Black on drinking in Wisconsin Best Craft Breweries in Wisconsin viatravelers.com

A DVD of the series will be released Nov. 7. Rise of the Pink Ladies was an original musical prequel to the movie Grease, itself based on the hit Broadway musical. The show premiered April 6 and ran for 10 episodes. Paramount+ removed the series from the streaming service on June 26 along with Queen of the Universe, Star Trek: Prodigy and several more. The removal of shows and movies from streaming services is one of the issues at play for the striking Writers Guild of America and Screen Actors Guild. When streaming services remove shows, they no longer have to pay actors and creators residuals for any additional views. Disney+ removed series such as Willow and movies such as Crater. Hulu pulled The Princess, Rosaline and more. Max removed Westworld, Raised By Wolves, Genera+ion and many more series and movies. Those participants will receive residuals from any digital or DVD purchase. However, the guilds are also negotiating for larger minimum up-front fees and residuals. Paramount did not initially set a price for digital rental and purchase or the forthcoming DVD. The DVD also will include 30 minutes of bonus features. WE’VE GOT YOUR FAVORITE MUSIC COVERED! Page 30 HAPPENINGS July 27, 2023 www.hap2it.com July 27, 2023 through August 3, 2023 ARIES (March 21-April 19): Relationships may not always be easy. New circumstances can bring in new dynamics and could change what one or both of you wants in the long run. Be honest about any changes and share your true feelings. TAURUS (April 20-May 20): Winning sometimes means accepting that some people might say no. It Never over-promise or exaggerate your abilities just to make sure you do not lose out on an opportunity. Prove yourself and the yesses may come. GEMINI (May 21-June 20): Be authentically you. Show the world who you are and what you have to offer, and you can find the people you need. Dance like nobody is watching and you could find that other people are out there dancing too. CANCER (June 21-July 22): Meeting new people could feel easier this week. Circumstances will put you in a position to avoid awkwardness and appear adorable. Enjoy the moment; let the situation grow. This might mark a fresh start. LEO (July 23-Aug. 22): You may have reached an awkward stage between milestones. You could be hard to classify and could get to choose which face to show the world. Take advantage of this interlude and make memories to treasure in the future. VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22): All the places you already visit regularly may be full of new people. It could be time to take a moment away from focusing on your own missions to look around and see who could be nearby. LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 22): A side gig that may look something like a punishment could be a chance to find a whole new circle of people to hang out with. Take advantage of your newly discovered crowd and the environment to meet someone special. SCORPIO (Oct. 23-Nov. 21): You could be presented with an amazing opportunity that means you might need to walk away from what you have now. You need to weigh the comfort of security against the possible rewards before taking the leap. SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21): The person of your dreams or a new friendship may not just appear at your cubicle, it might be time to seek out happiness in a new romance or build a whole new community. Take a chance on a conversation with someone new. CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19): You may be able to control your own screens, but you cannot control the rest of the world. Take the time to look at the people around you. Take a deep breath and strike up a conversation with someone new and interesting. AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18): Let loved ones and friends know that you do not take them for granted; little gestures can have the biggest impact. You may have gotten comfortable or complacent, but you could remember how romance should work. PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20): Romantic comedies might show you that love is found through bad advice from sassy friends. Your story can evolve all on its own. Real love lasts longer than 90 minutes and is worth more than the price of a movie ticket.
