Our Kenosha holiday memories...

w/Candy Eisenhauer
CD, DVD, GAMES, & VINYL, 3717 80th St

What is your favorite holiday memory?
I just love the happiness and togetherness that the holiday seems to bring,
there are too many great memories to pick just one.

What was your favorite holiday gift you ever received?
My purple 20” Stingray bicycle with the banana seat.

Do you think you're on Santa's nice list or naughty list this year?
Oh I'm on the nice list, always, I try very hard to be on that list.

photo Donny Stancato

w/Shelley Markiewicz
Flat Iron Vintage, 2022 56th St

What is your fondest holiday memory growing up?
Growing up in Salem, we always came to the "big city" of Kenosha
to do our Christmas shopping downtown. We loved shopping at
Barden's, Garb's, JC Penney, Andrea's, Lepp's, and The Leader Store.
I loved walking from shop to shop as the snow was falling.

What is the best holiday gift you ever received?
My favorite Christmas gift was when I was 4 years old.
I got a doll as tall as I was - I named her Nancy. I still have her!.

photo Donny Stancato

Kenosha Public Market

Where would your family shop for
the holidays when you were a kid?
Definitely Sears in Pershing Plaza, Tenuta’s and Andrea’s.
My mom would buy my sister and I clothes from Bisno’s downtown.

What is your fondest holiday memory growing up?
One of my fondest memories was shopping for a tree at Gretzingers.
We looked forward to going with our mom, drinking our hot chocolate,
and singing Christmas carols on the way to getting the perfect tree.

w/Nick Pagan
Dairy Queen, 4612 75th St

What is your fondest holiday memory growing up?
My parents would always take us down Christmas Lane!

Where would your family shop for
the holidays when you were a kid?
Shopping for Christmas is easy at the outlet mall in Pleasant Prairie

What is the worst holiday gift
you ever received?
Socks. Literally the worst gift.
