Page 2 TRIBUTEISLAND.COM 2023 This weekend, August. 4th - 6th, the nation’s largest cover band festival returns to Downtown Kenosha. Tribute Island, the cover-band music extravaganza that has seen thousands flood the city’s lakefront in years past, is returning for three days and nights on five stages featuring more than 50 of the region’s top tribute bands. The event will be held Aug. 4-6 on the hotel grounds of the Wyndham Garden Kenosha Harborside located at 5125 6th Ave in Downtown Kenosha. “We’re thrilled to be coming back and excited we’ll again be doing it dockside, which puts us in the thick of things, close to the Downtown city center,” explained Happenings publisher Frank Carmichael, the event’s creator. Like last year, the site will be devoid of hotel guest parking, so the entire waterfront property will be transformed into festival grounds. With this comes additional amenities, including indoor bathroom facilities. The following items may not be brought into the event: - No travel cups, Yeti’s, Hydroflasks, etc. - No bags or backpacks. Small draw string backpacks or any other types of bags are subject to search! - Recreational devices such as drones, remote control toys, skateboards, Segways, scooters, inline skates or shoes with built-in wheels. - Food and beverages (non-alcoholic and alcoholic) from outside the event. Formula, milk and food for infants/toddlers is permitted, as is food for medical purposes. - Alcoholic beverages or any illegal substance. - Weapons of any kind as well as objects that appear to be weapons (including toy blasters, squirt guns, etc.) - Laser pointers. - Glass containers (excluding small containers such as baby food jars). - Pets or other animals, except approved service animals (e.g., dogs). Service animals must be under the control of the owner at all times and should remain on a leash or in a harness. - Other items that we determine may be harmful or disruptive. - Professional cameras or video cameras. We reserve the right to ban any type of camera at the event. Q. Will the bands be selling music and merchandise? A. Some will and some will not. Q. Is there reserved seating? A. Tribute Island is a true outdoor music festival, not just a single concert, so it will be a traditional open-air environment without venue seating. There is no reserved seating or sections, so all space around the stages is on a first-come, first-served basis. Q. Can I bring in a bag chair? A. Yes, but it is subject to search. Q. What does the VIP package include? A. In addition to admittance to Tribute Island for all 3 days, VIP ticket holders receive: – Admittance to the Fresh Thyme VIP Oasis – Fresh Thyme Food and Refreshments Q. Are children allowed? A. Yes. Children under 12 will be admitted free when accompanied by a parent or guardian before 5 p.m. each day. After 5 p.m., the full ticket price will apply. Q. Can I leave the event and return later the same day? A. Absolutely. All Tribute Island attendees will be given wristbands that allow for coming and going on the day(s) for which they purchased tickets. Please do not remove your wristband. Artists and schedule are subject to change without notice. Artist cancellation or inclement weather are not grounds for a refund. No refunds will be given. All bags are subject to inspection prior to entering the Tribute Island grounds. If you get tired of rock and rolling all night and partying all day, enjoy a few hours of air-conditioned comfort in the Kenosha Comedy Club, located right inside the Wyndham Garden Hotel! Tribute Island host Jim Florentine, of VH1’s “That Metal Show” and Comedy Central’s “Crank Yankers,” will headline an evening of comedy Friday and Saturday night at 8pm.
